2. MARKET WRAP
Sensex closed up 1.25% @ 17412.96 pts; Nifty raised 1.28% @ 5282.55 pts.
NASDAQ was down by 2.00% and Dow Jhones Ind. Avg. was down by 1.69%.
European markets CAC up by 0.50% DAX up by 0.52% FTSE up by 0.21%.
Sensex rose 215.03 pts to close at 17412.96, Nifty rose 66.85 pts to close at 5282.55.
Indian shares rose by 1% on as better than expected payrolls data in the US and
emerging optimism for solution to Eurozone debt crisis aided the rally. Inflow of foreign
money too helped Indian equities & INR appreciated by 30 paise to 55.45 against USD.
