Bale Ply Reel Winder
The machine is used as a conveying and winding
system in tire industry. The winding system receives
material (Rubber Ply) from a calendar and sandwiched
with cloth and is wound in a reel.

It consists of two stations for winding up rubber sheet with
fabric liner.
Structure:
1) Wind-up Conveyor
 The conveyor transfers the rubber from the calendar lines
to the windup station.
 Consists of a series of rollers and a Conveyor belt of width
950mm.
 Ball screw assemblies on each station help in transferring
the rubber sheet from one station to the other.

2) Ball Screw Assembly
Ball screw assembly ensures the movement of rubber
sheet from Station-1 to Station-2 when the former is full.
3) Frame Slide Assembly
When the roll is full, the whole frame slides over the rail
and reaches the Reel lift Unit where the roll is taken
away.

4) Reel Lift Assembly
 There are two reel lift units, one for each station.
 The spool after getting wound up with the fabric and
rubber gets conveyed to the reel lift unit.
 From here the unit can be adjusted for the various spool
diameters by pneumatic actuated cylinders (4 nos. on
each unit) and the roll is taken away manually.
Specification and Features:
Conveying speed : 40 meters/minute
Wind-up speed : 16-32 rpm
Maximum/minimum roll width : 950mm/200mm
 Ply slackness detection by photoelectric system and
variable operation.
 Servo motors for accurate speed and positioning of
windup conveyor.
 Frame slide mounted on LM guides for easy loading-
unloading of spool.
 Swing guide for easy transfer of rubber sheet from one
station to the other.
 Pneumatic controlled Reel clamping, Reel lift units and
Liner Shaft.
 Pneumatic Cylinder for frame slide locking.
