  • 24. practice #4 Rick, CTO at Trade Me Caroline, Director at Alphero Michelle, People & Capability at Deloitte Trade Me takes technical skills quite seriously, but have a lot of fun in the office (there’s optionals fusball/pingpong). It’s a team environment, so working with others will be important. Alphero is a small but growing mobile app development agency, they work with high profile NZ clients to build websites and mobile apps. Value creative thinkers with good ideas, looking for team players. Deloitte is a large multinational consultancy. Their IT Consultant interns are likely to be put in front of clients which means presentation skills, communication skills & confidence will be key.

  • 28. follow up • Honour your commitments (show up!) • Be careful on social media & in public – (be polite & professional out there, people!) • Grab the opportunity, take the interview • Be open and honest about your intentions • Don’t mess employers around – your career has already started
