1. Recovery Disc
1. Insert the REPAIR DISC on your dvd drive
2. Shutdown/Restart the unit
3. Upon boot up, tap (many times) “F12” key on your keyboard,
until you get the Boot Manager
4. In Boot Option Menu, Choose ATAPI CDROM: HL-DT-ST- DVDRAM GUCON
Then tap ENTER key
5. Tap any key when
(Press any key to boot from CD or DVD) appear
2. 6. Wait for the Machine to load up 7. In Choose your keyboard layout window tap on US
3. 8. When Choose an option window appeared, Choose the TROUBLESHOOT ICON and
press ENTER key
4. 9. On Troubleshoot windows, choose the ADVANCED OPTIONS icon then press ENTER key
5. 10. In Advanced options window, choose SYSTEM IMAGE RECOVERY icon then press ENTER key
6. 11. In Select a system image backup, insert the LAST DVD Disc / DISC 4 of your recovery disc then choose
(Select a system image) and tap the NEXT button
7. 12. Choose DVD DRIVE (G:)
Then tap NEXT button
NOTE: IF DVD DRIVE (G:) IS NOT APPEAR ON
LOCATION BACKUP, CHECK THE DVD THAT YOU
INSERTED. IT MUST BE DISC4 AND TAP REFRESH
BUTTON
8. 13. Tap the available Date and time on drives in
backup, Then tap NEXT button
14. Thick the Format and repartition disks box and tap the
NEXT button
9. 15. On next window, just tap the
FINISH button
16. A prompt window appear, just tap the
YES button
10. 17. In prompt message (Please insert the following disk)
Insert the disc labeled DISC1 and tap OK.
NOTE: After DISC1, a prompt message appear again and
that time you need to insert the DISC2, then DISC3, and last
FINAL DISC/DISC4
11. NOTE: YOU CAN LOG-IN ON DEPED USER OR ADMIN USER
DEPED (standard user)
- unable to access partition E: and F:
Admin (administrator user)
Password: pass
- can access all partition
12. If you are able to log-in on different user account, you are successfully
completed the Recovery Disc Process
