I am an assistant professor in the School of Information and Library Science at the University of North Carolina. I did my graduate studies at the UC Berkeley School of Information and spent some time at Yahoo! Research. Before that I spent five years in Tokyo, Japan as an expatriate dot-commer. My research focuses on how events might be used as conceptual structures for organizing narrative content across different forms of digital media, and how information systems might better support exploring multiple perspectives on events and their relations.
