2. Restaurant Owner/Chef When I think of what I want to do in the future, a wide array of jobs come in mind. Yet none stands out as much as that of being a restaurant owner. I find it to be the perfect mix of business with culinary arts. Every since I was a little kid I’ve been playing with pots and pans or helping my family in the kitchen. I have carried this love all my life in hope that in the future I would be able to own my own restaurant.
3. What is a restaurant owner/chef? This job although it may appear to be easy, I know is very difficult. A restaurant owner is a business owner. The part that makes it more difficult is that other than being a business owner they may sometimes have to step in the kitchen. This job in my belief is in two segments of the business world. It is a service, but it also provides a product. Your food must be good and your service even better. What is the required education? In this specific career a good restaurant owner would have to study various subjects. The most important one is business and restaurant management. The restaurant owner must learn about the economy and how it works before he can put it to good use. Future Job Outlook Inthe future I hope to be able to go to a university and major in business to then apply to a culinary arts school and gain a little knowledge of what it takes and exactly how to get my restaurant started.
