The Curtain (Veil)
This curtain acted as a warning – saying, no sin could go into the presence of
the ark of testimony that was placed in the Most High place. For every sin,
blood had to be spilled for forgiveness and only the high priest was allowed to
perform this rite.
“You shall make a veil woven of blue, purple, and scarlet thread, and fine woven linen. It shall
be woven with an artistic design of cherubim. You shall hang it upon the four pillars of acacia
wood overlaid with gold. Their hooks shall be gold, upon four sockets of silver. And you shall
hang the veil from the clasps. Then you shall bring the ark of the Testimony in there, behind
the veil. The veil shall be a divider for you between the holy place and the Most Holy.
(Exodus 26:31-33)
So, for every sin, you take an animal to the high priest (at risk of his own life)
who makes a sacrifice on your behalf. There was a law at work here; a law
that implies that if any man (other than the high priest) had attempted to have
gone past that curtain, he would have died there.
Then David and all the house of Israel played music before the Lord on all kinds of instruments
of fir wood, on harps, on stringed instruments, on tambourines, on sistrums, and on cymbals. And
when they came to Nachon’s threshing floor, Uzzah put out his hand to the ark of God and took
hold of it, for the oxen stumbled. Then the anger of the Lord was aroused against Uzzah, and
God struck him there for his error; and he died there by the ark of God. (2 Samuel 6:5-7)

The Curtain (Veil)
The Ark, an embodiment of God’s Holiness was not to be treated with levity.
For the Lord your God is a consuming
fire, a jealous God. (Deuteronomy 4:24)
The sight of the glory of the Lord was like a consuming fire in the
eyes of the children of Israel on the top of the mountain. (Exodus
24:17)

The Curtain (Veil)
And he smote the men of Bethshemesh, because they had looked into the ark of the
LORD, even he smote of the people fifty thousand and threescore and ten men: and
the people lamented, because the LORD had smitten many of the people with a great
slaughter. (1 Samuel 6:19)
You shall set bounds for the people all around, saying, ‘Take heed to yourselves that
you do not go up to the mountain or touch its base. Whoever touches the mountain
shall surely be put to death. (Exodus 19:12)
But Moses said to the Lord, “The people cannot come up to Mount Sinai; for You
warned us, saying, ‘Set bounds around the mountain and consecrate it.’” Then the
Lord said to him, “Away! Get down and then come up, you and Aaron with you. But do
not let the priests and the people break through to come up to the Lord, lest He
break out against them.” (Exodus 19:23-24)
In drawing near to God we must never forget His Holiness and
Greatness and our own meanness and pollution. This is where we start
to ask ourselves questions like:
“what do I need to do to go near to God”?

depart, I will send Him to

The Sun Darkened
On That Day At Calvary
But even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing,
whose minds the god of this age has blinded, who do not believe, lest the
light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should
shine on them.
(2 Corinthians 4:3-4)

The Sun Darkened & the Veil Rent
“And it shall come to pass in that day,” says the Lord God, “That I will make the sun
go down at noon, And I will darken the earth in broad daylight; (Amos 8:9)
The sun and moon will grow dark, And the stars will diminish their brightness.
(Joel 3:15)
Then the sun was darkened, and the veil of the temple was torn in two.
(Luke 23:45)

Jesus, when he had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost. And, behold,
the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth
did quake, and the rocks rent; and the graves were opened; and many bodies of the
saints which slept arose, and came out of the graves after his resurrection, and
went into the holy city, and appeared unto many. (Matthew 27:50-53)
And Jesus cried out with a loud voice, and breathed His last. Then the veil of the
temple was torn in two from top to bottom. So when the centurion, who stood
opposite Him, saw that He cried out like this and breathed His last, he said, “Truly
this Man was the Son of God!” (Mark 15:37-39)
Now it was about the sixth hour, and there was darkness over all the earth until
the ninth hour. Then the sun was darkened, and the veil of the temple was torn in
two. And when Jesus had cried out with a loud voice, He said, “Father, ‘into Your
hands I commit My spirit.’” Having said this, He breathed His last. So when the
centurion saw what had happened, he glorified God, saying, “Certainly this was a
righteous Man!” (Luke 23:44-47)

Limitations of the Earthly Service Revealed
Now when these things had been thus prepared, the priests always went into the first part of
the tabernacle, performing the services. But into the second part the high priest went alone once
a year, not without blood, which he offered for himself and for the people’s sins committed in
ignorance; The Holy Spirit indicating this, that the way into the Holiest of All was not yet made
manifest while the first tabernacle was still standing. It was symbolic for the present time in
which both gifts and sacrifices are offered which cannot make him who performed the service
perfect in regard to the conscience— concerned only with foods and drinks, various washings, and
fleshly ordinances imposed until the time of reformation. (Hebrews 9:6-10)
The Heavenly Sanctuary Put In Place
But Christ came as High Priest of the good things to come, with the greater and more perfect
tabernacle not made with hands, that is, not of this creation. Not with the blood of goats and
calves, but with His own blood He entered the Most Holy Place once for all, having obtained
eternal redemption. For if the blood of bulls and goats and the ashes of a heifer, sprinkling the
unclean, sanctifies for the purifying of the flesh, how much more shall the blood of Christ, who
through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without spot to God, cleanse your conscience from
dead works to serve the living God? (Hebrews 9:11-14)

Separating Sin & Sinfulness Itself Taken Care Of
The sin that separates us from God taken away and the ‘law’ of sinfulness that
operates in us is dealt with.
And you, being dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He has made alive
together with Him, having forgiven you all trespasses, having wiped out the handwriting of
requirements that was against us, which was contrary to us. And He has taken it out of the way,
having nailed it to the cross. Having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public
spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it. (Colossians 2:13-15)
But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels, for the suffering of death
crowned with glory and honour, that He, by the grace of God, might taste death for everyone.
For it was fitting for Him, for whom are all things and by whom are all things, in bringing many
sons to glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings. (Hebrews 2:9-
10)
All these made possible because:
Seeing then that we have a great High Priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son
of God, let us hold fast our confession. For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize
with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore
come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of
need. (Hebrews 4:14-16)
Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given
us the ministry of reconciliation, that is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself,
not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation.

IF YOU believe IN Jesus
AND repentant OF YOUR
SINS THEN you are saved.
Believe in Jesus Christ: To be the son of God; died and
rose up again, and that His finished work on the Cross is
more than enough to set you free.
To Repent means: Being sincerely sorry for your sins and
bringing them before God (between you and Him); with the
aim of not going back to them.

Prayer for Spiritual Wisdom
Therefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for
all the saints, do not cease to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my
prayers: that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory,
may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him,
the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know:
1. What is the hope of His calling,
2. What are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints,
and
3. What is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who
believe,
according to the working of His mighty power which He worked in Christ when He
raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly
places, far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every
name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come.
(Ephesians 1:15-51)

Veil Rent - The Significance For Us?
Boldness to “enter in”
Therefore, brethren, having boldness to enter the Holiest by the blood
of Jesus, by a new and living way which He consecrated for us, through
the veil, that is, His flesh. (Hebrews 10:19-20)
Here we have the answer to the question we have always asked:
“what do I need to do to go near to God”?
Answer being:
Yes, the Confidence, self-assurance, nerve, cheek, audaciousness to enter
into the very presence of God without the fear of dying there; we can no
more die there, since Jesus Christ has died in our place; made eternal life
guaranteed for us. Our boldness is based on the perfection of His sacrifice of
which He said:
“IT IS FINISHED”

For by Him all things were created that are in
heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible,
whether thrones or dominions or principalities or
powers. All things were created through Him and for
Him. And He is before all things, and in Him all
things consist. (Colossians 1:16-17)
Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to
Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us the
ministry of reconciliation, that is, that God was in
Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing
their trespasses to them, and has committed to us

“Tetelestai” - “paid in full.”
Debt of sin owed to God is paid in full!! – completely wiped away!!! eliminated!!
Not His own debt; but of debt of mankind. Jesus’ RESURRECTION is the
Father’s “AMEN” to His Son’s declaration “IT IS FINISHED.” Looking at the
Cross we see the work of redemption completed. Looking at the open tomb we
see Jesus’ finished work fully accepted by the Father .
for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, being justified freely by His grace through
the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, whom God set forth as a propitiation by His blood,
through faith, to demonstrate His righteousness, because in His forbearance God had passed
over the sins that were previously committed, (Romans 3:23-25)
For the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost.” (Luke 19:10)
I have glorified You on the earth. I have finished the work which You have given Me to do.
(John 17:4)

But if the ministry of death, written and engraved on stones, was glorious, so that the children of

ministry of condemnation had glory, the ministry of righteousness exceeds much more in glory.
For even what was made glorious had no glory in this respect, because of the glory that excels.
For if what is passing away was glorious, what remains is much more glorious. (2 Corinthians 3:7-9)
The Glorious Company
For you have not come to the mountain that may be touched and that burned with fire, and to
blackness and darkness and tempest, and the sound of a trumpet and the voice of words, so that
those who heard it begged that the word should not be spoken to them anymore. (For they could
not endure what was commanded: “And if so much as a beast touches the mountain, it shall be
stoned or shot with an arrow.”And so terrifying was the sight that Moses said, “I am exceedingly
afraid and trembling.”) But you have come to Mount Zion and to the city of
the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, to an innumerable company of
angels, to the general assembly and church of the firstborn who are
registered in heaven, to God the Judge of all, to the spirits of just
men made perfect, to Jesus the Mediator of the new covenant, and to
the blood of sprinkling that speaks better things than that of Abel.
(Hebrews 12:18-24)

And even as they did not like to retain God in
their knowledge, God gave them over to a
debased mind, to do those things which are not
fitting; being filled with all unrighteousness,
sexual immorality, wickedness, covetousness,
maliciousness; full of envy, murder, strife,
deceit, evil-mindedness; they are whisperers,
backbiters, haters of God, violent, proud,
boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient
to parents, undiscerning, untrustworthy,
unloving, unforgiving, unmerciful; who, knowing
the righteous judgment of God, that those who
practice such things are deserving of death, not
only do the same but also approve of those who

and a half its width. And you shall make two cherubim of gold; of hammered work you shall make
them at the two ends of the mercy seat. Make one cherub at one end, and the other cherub at
the other end; you shall make the cherubim at the two ends of it of one piece with the mercy
seat. And the cherubim shall stretch out their wings above, covering the mercy seat with their
wings, and they shall face one another; the faces of the cherubim shall be toward the mercy
seat. You shall put the mercy seat on top of the ark, and in the ark you shall put the Testimony
that I will give you. And there I will meet with you, and I will speak with you from above the
mercy seat, from between the two cherubim which are on the ark of the Testimony, about
everything which I will give you in commandment to the children of Israel.” (Exodus 25:17-22)

The Ark of the Covenant was the place where the Lord had the sacrificial
blood poured out, for the forgiveness of Israel’s sins. The blood was sprinkled
on the atonement cover.

Propitiation
From An Old Order

A New And Permanent Order
Atonement in the old testament meant cover – “Kaphar” or “Kippur” as is
celebrated on the “day of Atonement” Yom Kippur
And Aaron shall make an atonement upon the horns of it once in a year with the blood of the sin
offering of atonements: once in the year shall he make atonement upon it throughout your
generations: it is most holy unto the Lord. (Exodus 30:10)
This was a repetitive system that just involved the ‘covering’ of the people’s sins
and had to be done away with for a permanent solution. The shedding of Jesus’
Blood satisfied the wrath of God once and for all.

Atonement (Permanent)
Obsolete : reconciliation
The reconciliation of God and humankind through the sacrificial death of Jesus
Christ.
That is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to
them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation. (2 Corinthians 5:19)
To supply satisfaction for :
Expiate - to put an end to; to extinguish the guilt incurred by.
Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights,
with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning. Of His own will He brought us forth by the
word of truth, that we might be a kind of firstfruits of His creatures. (James 1:17-18)

Atonement - once and for all (propitiation) is a concept in which obstacles to
reconciliation with God are removed; through the death and resurrection of our
Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.
But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ.
For He Himself is our peace, who has made both one, and has broken down the middle wall of
separation, having abolished in His flesh the enmity, that is, the law of commandments contained
in ordinances, so as to create in Himself one new man from the two, thus making peace, and that
He might reconcile them both to God in one body through the cross, thereby putting to death the
enmity. (Ephesians 2:13-16)
For it pleased the Father that in Him all the fullness should dwell, and by Him to reconcile all
things to Himself, by Him, whether things on earth or things in heaven, having made peace
through the blood of His cross. And you, who once were alienated and enemies in your mind by
wicked works, yet now He has reconciled in the body of His flesh through death, to present you
holy, and blameless, and above reproach in His sight (Colossians 1:19-22)
But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we
were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and
raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, that in
the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in
Christ Jesus. (Ephesians 2:4-7)

Propitiation
Points to what God has received from the death of Christ
(At Calvary), whether or not a sinner trusts Jesus Christ.
“Surely He has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows; yet we esteemed Him
stricken, smitten by God, and afflicted. But He was wounded for our
transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement for our peace
was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray;
we have turned, every one, to his own way; and the LORD has laid on Him the
iniquity of us all.” (Isaiah 53:4-6)
This is He who came by water and blood—Jesus Christ; not only by water, but by
water and blood. And it is the Spirit who bears witness, because the Spirit is truth.
For there are three that bear witness in heaven: the Father, the Word, and the
Holy Spirit; and these three are one. (1 John 5:6-7)

Propitiation
All who dwell on the earth will worship him, whose names have
not been written in the Book of Life of the Lamb slain
from the foundation of the world. (Revelation 13:8)
Propitiate: to conciliate, appease.
Propitiation: The act of propitiating. Latin propitius, a disposition of
favour (one can think pro-pity, a setting forth of pity or mercy).
The Greek word translated propitiation in the New Testament is hilasmos,
which is a means of appeasing, a conciliation.
To appease: to bring peace or calm, to satisfy or relieve.
To atone: to make amends or reparations for an injury or wrongdoing, to
expiate.

Propitiation
Propitiation is the work Jesus finished on the cross to appease and satisfy God's
wrath so He would be able to pardon sinners who trust in Christ. It is God’s way of
making amends for our sins. This He does by a process in which the guilt or
innocence is transferred from one person (Jesus) to another (man). The guilt or the
bad actions of one person is attributed or imputed to another. So that when it
comes to punishment, the person who is the substitute bears the brunt, and that
the person substituted goes away free. This way God made reparations for our sins
by transferring them to Christ’s account as He hung on the cross at Calvary. The
absolute sinless life of Jesus Christ makes this transaction possible as His
innocence is transferred to those who believe and follow Him.

And He Himself is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also
for the whole world. (1 John 2:2)

Propitiation
Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and
upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins,
sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high. (Hebrews 1:3)
Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto
himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works. (Titus 2:14)
How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered
Himself without spot to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the
living God? And for this reason He is the Mediator of the new covenant, by means of
death, for the redemption of the transgressions under the first covenant, that those
who are called may receive the promise of the eternal inheritance. For where there
is a testament, there must also of necessity be the death of the testator. For a
testament is in force after men are dead, since it has no power at all while the
testator lives. (Hebrews 9:14-17)

The Conscience In Its ‘Natural’ State
There is a conscience in all men by nature.
Let this never be forgotten. Fallen, lost,
desperately wicked as we are all born into
the world, God has taken care to leave
Himself a witness in our bosoms. It is a
poor blind guide, without the Holy Spirit.
It can save no one. It leads no one to
Christ. It may be seared and trampled
under foot. But there is such a thing as
conscience in every man, accusing or
excusing him; and Scripture and
experience alike declare it (Rom. 2:15).

The Conscience In Its ‘Natural’ State
Dictionary defines the conscience as:
"a knowledge or sense of right and wrong, with a compulsion to do right; moral
judgement that opposes the violation of a previously recognized ethical principle
and that leads to feelings of guilt."
The conscience in its ‘natural’ state as we can see from the dictionary
definition is governed by:
“compulsion to do right”
“moral judgement”
So in our modern day culture where there is a daily attempt to ‘program’ our
minds to fit into this agenda or the other; “compulsion to do right” and
“moral judgement” are ever so subjective and moving further away from
what the laws of God says. The world's thinking overrides and drowns out
the inner voice of the true conscience that God put within man.
To the pure all things are pure, but to those who are defiled
and unbelieving nothing is pure; but even their mind and
conscience are defiled. (Titus 1:15)

The heart is a composition of the first part of the spirit - the
conscience and all three parts of the soul.
“let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an
evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water.” (Heb. 10:22)
Having part of our spirit (the conscience) as one of it’s components; it can
condemn:
“For if our heart condemns us, God is greater than our heart, and knows all things.” (1 John 3:20)
As it also includes the mind, the will, and the emotion, which are the three parts of our soul.

In God’s eternal purpose, the intended main function of man’s heart
is to give man the ability to:
Love Him - “And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart,
with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.’ This is
the first commandment.” (Mark 12:30)
Also, In God’s eternal purpose, the intended main function of man’s
spirit is to give man the ability to:
a) Be in constant contact with Him - “God is Spirit, and those who
worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.” (John 4:24)
b) Receive Him - “But he who is joined to the Lord is one spirit with Him.”

c) Hold or Contain Him - “ The Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit.

Finally, In God’s eternal purpose, the intended main function of
man’s soul is to give man the ability to:
Reflect or Express Him - “But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as
in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same
image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.” (2
Corinthians 3:18)
Because our heart LOVES Him; our spirit is able to
BE IN CONSTANT CONTACT with Him; RECEIVE
Him; and HOLD or CONTAIN Him; so that our soul is
able to REFLECT or EXPRESS Him in all that we
think, like, and decide - in all that we are and all that
we do.

Heart of Man – When Quickened
Now the purpose of the commandment is love from a
pure heart, from a good conscience, and from sincere
faith. (1 Timothy 1:5)

The soul (being saved) is now reflecting the purity of the heart; meaning that
the effect on the soul of the functions of a liberated conscience, intuition and
communion with God is demonstrated; even if and when these are the “substance
of things we hope for; and evidence of things we cannot see”

Heart of Man – When Quickened
The soul being saved should reflect the purity of the heart; meaning that the
effect of the functions of a liberated conscience, intuition and communion with
God is demonstrated by the assurance (the confirmation, the title deed) of our
righteousness and sanctification and redemption (that we cannot physically see)
and the conviction of the reality (perceiving as real what is not revealed to the
senses) of this fact being made real to us by our seeing ourselves hidden in
Christ Jesus who became for us wisdom from God.

Then, at this point of being saved and having a regenerated heart, the soul
[(Functions of Will, Intellect & Emotions now being controlled by the spirit
(Functions of a liberated conscience, intuition and communion with God ) that is

SOLELY TO OUR LORD AND SAVIOUR JESUS CHRIST AND ENABLED TO COMPREHEND THE
SOLID BIBLICAL AND HISTORICAL FACTS THAT CHRISTIANITY IS BUILT ON.

Propitiation
Grace for Righteousness
Grace for righteousness is obtained through the regeneration of the spirit
But when the kindness and the love of God our Saviour toward man
appeared, not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according
to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and
renewing of the Holy Spirit, whom He poured out on us abundantly through
Jesus Christ our Saviour, that having been justified by His grace we should
become heirs according to the hope of eternal life (Titus 3:4-7)
Then I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you shall be clean; I will cleanse
you from all your filthiness and from all your idols. I will give you a new
heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of
your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. I will put My Spirit within you and
cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will keep My judgments and do
them. (Ezekiel 36:25-27)

The benefits far outweigh any cost to us.
Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto treasure hid in a field; the which when a man hath

found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had, and bought it.

Atonement (At Calvary)
We exercise this grace fully bearing in mind that, with this new unfailing and
dedicated way God has provided for us to come into His presence through the
finished work of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ’s work at Calvary:
The Blood will Never Lose Its Power
The blood that Jesus shed for me; way back on Calvary,
The blood that gives me strength from day to day
It will never lose its power
It reaches to the highest mountain; it flows to the lowest valley
It will never lose its power
It soothes my doubt and calms my fears; and it dries all my tears;
it will never loose its power.

Humility
Humility is the right judgment of oneself that cleanses our mind from all high
conceits of own perfection: Perceived perfection derived from the undue opinion of
our own abilities and attainments, which are the genuine fruits of a corrupted nature.
Fulfil ye my joy, that ye be likeminded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind.
Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other
better than themselves. Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things
of others. (Philippians 2:2-4)
Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness
of mind, meekness, longsuffering; Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man
have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye. And above all these things
put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness. (Colossians 3:12-14)
Humility is a matter of the condition of the heart; it is not ‘humble words’, ‘humble
looks’, and ‘humble ways’. It is a product of a free and good conscience working in
tandem with a regenerated soul (yielded will, emotion that has put to death the ‘life
of nature; and an ever ‘upgraded’ intellect)

the only function of the spirit in the heart); triggers the empowerment of the heart from the
inner-man This upgrade from intellect to intuition is the addition of Understanding to
Knowledge to make wisdom:

Faith
“ Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of
things not seen.” (Hebrews 11:1)
In other words - “Now (IF)
faith is the assurance (the confirmation, the title deed) of the things [we] hope
for, being the proof of things [we] do not see and the conviction of their reality
[faith perceiving as real fact what is not revealed to the senses].”
Faith here does not simply mean belief by a person; but a trust, obedience and
allegiance to God. It is not religion; which can never meet God’s demand according
to His eternal purpose—a demand of total & absolute loyalty from those that have
been cleansed by the Blood of The lamb, His Son Jesus Christ. It is not just an
‘inward feeling’ but also an outward manifestation in one’s acts.

Believe & Faith
There is a distinctive difference between belief and faith.
What compels the Lord to make the battle His own?
What brings the fourth Man into the fire?
What triggers the confidence for ?

Believe is a principle, proposition,
idea that is accepted as true;
opinion, outlook; conviction; trust
or confidence.
Faith is the confident assurance in the character and
nature of God; a strong or unshakeable belief in
something, without proof or evidence.
When we come before Him to whom nothing and absolutely nothing is hidden –

Hope
Christian Hope is "confident expectation."
Confident:
In our context, the definition of confident is, to be certain about, feel sure of, have
full trust in; belief in the powers, trustworthiness, or reliability of God.
Origin of confident, Confide:
Latin cōnfīdēns, cōnfīdent-, present participle of cōnfīdere, to rely on; see confide.
To confide is to trust someone enough to tell your secrets, worries or thoughts.
Expect:
Expect mean to await some occurrence or outcome. expect implies a high degree of
certainty and usually involves the idea of preparing or envisioning; this preparing and
envisioning brings into focus the Christian perspective of the present being full of
possibilities.
So Christian Hope is being certain about, feel sure of, have full trust; belief in
the powers, trustworthiness, or reliability of God; which makes us to tell Him
our secrets, worries or thoughts and then prepare for and envision the result
while making use of the possibilities He provides in the present.

Hope
Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: By
whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the
glory of God. And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh
patience; And patience, experience; and experience, hope: And hope maketh not ashamed;
because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is
given unto us. (Romans 5:1-5)
As it is written, Behold, I lay in Sion a stumblingstone and rock of offence: and whosoever
believeth on him shall not be ashamed. (Romans 9:33)

I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance. but he that cometh after me is mightier than
I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and
with fire. (Matthew 3:11-12)
Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved
us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; Which he
shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour; That being justified by his grace,
we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life. (Titus 3:5-7)
Wherein God, willing more abundantly to shew unto the heirs of promise the immutability of his
counsel, confirmed it by an oath: That by two immutable things, in which it was
impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to
lay hold upon the hope set before us: Which hope we have as an
anchor of the soul, both sure and stedfast, and which entereth into that
within the veil; Whither the forerunner is for us entered, even Jesus, made an high
priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec. (Hebrews 6:17-20)
But then: “Hope deferred maketh the heart sick: but when the desire cometh, it is a tree
of life.” (Proverbs 13:12) That is when:

Love
And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our
hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us. (Romans 5:5)
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him
should not perish, but have everlasting life. (John 3:16)
God is Love –
God is love and He gave Himself to us in the form of His some who is also in the
form of His Father – love. God’s love for us is just as and backed up by His attribute
of being immutable – it cannot be wholly comprehended by man except through His
Son Jesus Christ by the Holy Spirit. Ancient fathers of Christianity tell us of the
connection between God’s love and the outpouring of the Holy Spirit:

Love
“Brethren, it is well for us to remember that as human beings we can never know all of
the Godhead. If we were capable of knowing all of the Godhead perfectly, we would be
equal to the Godhead. For illustration, we know that we cannot pour an entire quart of
water into a vessel which has a capacity of less than a quart. So you could never pour all
of the Godhead into the experience of any being who is less than God Himself.
A similar kind of illustration was used long ago by ancient fathers in the church as they
argued for the trinity of the Godhead. They pointed out that God the eternal Father is
an infinite God, and He is love. The very nature of love is to give itself. But, the Father
could not give His love fully to anyone not fully equal to Himself.
Thus we have the revelation of the Son Who is equal to the Father and of the eternal
Father pouring out His love into the son, who could contain it, because the Son is equal
with the Father. Further, these ancient wise men reasoned, if the Father were to pour
out His love into the Son, a medium of communication equal to both the Father and the
Son would be required, and this was the Holy Ghost. So we have their concept of the
Trinity –the ancient Father in the fullness of His love pouring Himself through the Holy
Ghost who is in being equal to Him, into the Son who is in being equal to the Spirit and the
Father”

Love
God is love and that’s why the greatest power that man can possess is love
And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth
in love dwelleth in God, and God in him (I John 4:16). But then real love (God’s agape Love) in the
world we live in today would make anyone look ‘naive and stupid’ (as would be perceived by an un-regenerated
mind); Real love as should be infused of by a bond servant of Christ, seems to be a
strange phenomenon in the world we live in, even among the so called ‘Christians’. Real love as
described by Apostle Paul –
As I besought thee to abide still at Ephesus, when I went into Macedonia, that thou mightest
charge some that they teach no other doctrine, Neither give heed to fables and endless
genealogies, which minister questions, rather than godly edifying which is in faith: so do. Now
the end of the commandment is charity out of a pure heart, and of a good conscience, and of
faith unfeigned: From which some having swerved have turned aside unto vain jangling; Desiring
to be teachers of the law; understanding neither what they say, nor whereof they affirm. Now
the end of the commandment is charity out of a pure heart, and of a good conscience, and of
faith unfeigned (1 Tim. 1:3-7).

Love
THE GOAL OF OUR COMMAND IS LOVE; that comes from a PURE HEART, GOOD
CONSCIENCE AND SINCERE FAITH.
Now, If you look at these 3 components of love:
Pure heart - Hold no evil whatsoever against anyone.
Good Conscience - knowledge shows what is right or wrong, but it is the conscience that
approves of what is right and disapproves of what is contrary to it.
Sincere Faith - no matter how bad it looks in reality, I have this hope that it shall be well –
“substance of things hoped for; evidence of things not seen”.
To have these 3 qualities in the world we live in today qualifies you as being
excellently ‘naive and stupid’ (as would be perceived by an un-regenerated mind: But
then it is these three qualities that equip any living being with LOVE that is the
greatest power on earth. Jesus warned us when describing the end of the ages -
“And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold” (Matt. 24:12.).

Love
It is also said that -
“There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that
feareth is not made perfect in love” (1John 4:18).
Walking in love can be compared to tightrope walking. Walk it through without
falling, everyone applauds; but when the reality of learning to walk in love as in
training for a tightrope walk show, you will sometimes fall off the rope at different
points along the journey, such fall comes with great vulnerability due to danger
posed by all kinds of elements waiting to pounce at the instance of a failure to walk
in pureness of heart, conscience in good condition and unflinching trust in God. It
may even come with shame and people will naturally jeer – it is a lowly point to be in,
a point where one is vulnerable, a point where the ungodly sees a chance to take
advantage, a point where you realise that –
“The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?” (Jer. 17:9).

Love
You do not just see this from afar off, and judge others, but more
importantly come to the realisation of the fact that if not for the GRACE of
God; ones own natural heart can be just as deceitful.
But as the saying goes “practice makes perfect” – Until we are able and
have perfected the act of walking that tight rope (walking in God’s Agape
Love) without falling off along the way; we just have to keep moving on;
practising how to walk in this wonderful attribute of our creator, putting
into consideration the advice of His Son Jesus Christ when He said –
“Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise
as serpents, and harmless as doves” (Matt. 10:16).

Love
Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I have become
sounding brass or a clanging cymbal. And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand
all mysteries and all knowledge, and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains,
but have not love, I am nothing. And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and
though I give my body to be burned,[a] but have not love, it profits me nothing.
Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed
up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; does not
rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all
things, endures all things.
Love never fails. But whether there are prophecies, they will fail; whether there are tongues,
they will cease; whether there is knowledge, it will vanish away. For we know in part and we
prophesy in part. But when that which is perfect has come, then that which is in part will be
done away.
When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child; but when
I became a man, I put away childish things. For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face
to face. Now I know in part, but then I shall know just as I also am known.
And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is
love. (1 Corinthians 13)

is why, when and how you can get to know Him.

We all are sinners: nobody likes that title “SINNER”, but the bible says in Romans 3:23 that “all have
sinned and fallen short of the glory of God”.
What is the result of sin?
In Romans 6:23 we read “The wages of sin is death…” in other words, every sin is another step
towards death. One thing that we need to remember is that God never sends anyone to hell; one can send
himself there by rejecting the truth.
Since we can never measure up to God’s standards by our own strength; God has reached out to
mankind.
In Romans 5:8 we read, “God demonstrates His own love towards us, in that while we were yet
sinners, Christ died for us”. It is Jesus, after all, who is the source of life’s greatest high.
“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him
should not perish but have everlasting life. 17 For God did not send His Son into the world to
condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.” (John 3:16-17).
What must a person do to accept this gift?

Most Importantly!!!!!
Simply receive it! Matthew 11:28 states –“come to me, all you who labour and are heavy laden and I will
give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me…for my yoke is easy and my burden is
light”.
Revelation 3:20 says, “Behold I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the
door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with me” Jesus stands at the door of your heart and
knocks, seeking entrance into your life to give you peace, change you for the best. John 1:12 says: “For as
many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become the children of God”.
If you haven't already received Christ as your Saviour, don't put it off another day! Take
time right now to reflect on the state of your life, how does Romans 3:23 apply to you?
Ask God to empower you to see the true state of your heart – “The heart of man is
deceitful above all things and desperately wicked; who can know it?” (Jeremiah 17:9)
then when enabled, invite Jesus into your life. Confess your sins. Receive His
forgiveness and the gift of eternal life. You might pray something like this:
Dear Jesus, I know that I am a sinner in need of a Saviour. Thank You for
dying on the cross for my sins. Thank You for giving me eternal life. Help
me to live my life in a way that pleases You, for whatever time You give me
here on earth. I look forward to living forever in Heaven with You. Amen.
