5. • An integrated e-Learning environment for students.
• A web platform for conducting classroom-like sessions over
the internet.
•This interactive medium allows students across the globe to
interact with peers and faculties , share ideas and access
tutorials on a potpourri of topics .
•The main pedagogical idea behind VC is to encourage self-
directed learning.

6. • The first example of virtual classroom predates to early 1960, when
the University of Illinois initiated a classroom system based in linked
computer terminals where students could access informational
resources on a particular course while listening to the lectures that
were recorded via some form of remotely device like television or
audio device.
•Now after almost five decades since its inception VC has its presence
in mainstream education .Several Universities provide distance
learning programs via VC. There are various website sites providing e-
learning via VC concept to the benefit of a large number of students.

7. •Bridging the knowledge gap is the main vision of VC. Students poor
and rich alike can access quality study materials from erudite faculties
across the globe.
•VC will provides the platform for sharing a variety of information ,
ideas across the web between faculties and students .The Student will
be able to access study materials of a wide range of subjects.
•It will bridge the demographic divide between students and faculties
alike. A student in a
remote village of Africa can attend lectures of faculties of
Stanford university via VC.

8. •Our Project envisage to provide free e-learning opportunities to
students of poor backgrounds giving them same quality education as
the students of premier institutes.
•Our project also encourages students to instill in them the quality of self
study while engaging with peers across the world sharing ideas and
various study materials.

16. •Our project lacks features like video conferencing , live
chat .
•Features like virtual white boards for the live demo
classes is also lacking in our project.
•Interactive events like online quiz , polling are also
missing .Recording of live demo classes is also another
feature currently not present.

will be incorporated.
•Efforts will be taken to attract erudite faculties to
actively participate in this Virtual Classroom program.
•More and more students across the globe need to
reached out with better networks and also made cheaply
available for access.

18. •Today’s world is driven by innovation .Similarly more and more
innovation can be expected in the field of VC. More new features like 3d
imaging, hangouts of multiple users can be incorporated into the Virtual
Classroom environment.
•Steps need to be taken that more and more students of the
underdeveloped world be brought into the virtual classroom programs by
providing them with better access to internet at cheaper rates.
•The participation of more and more faculties of various prestigious
universities is also welcomed so that students gets access to high quality
study materials and be benefited from their lectures.
