- Our film will be a high-budget Hollywood film estimating to
have a budget between £100 million and 150 million.
-There will be high production costs due to the big-budget
special effects required to make our action scenes come to
life.
- We will be pitch to major Hollywood distributors as they are
classically used for high-budget action films.
6. OPENING
- starts with a fast-paced sequence of
Lucas Wood running through empty
streets, alley ways etc.
- Rapid cutting to a room in which Phil sits
surrounded by computers and gadgets
- Lucas and Phil communicate through an
earpiece, talking about tracking, times etc.
- Lucas breaks into a run-down building
and confronts Dale Carter who is gambling
with intimidating-looking men.
- Lucas threatens Dale and tries to
persuade him to stop his criminal activity.
- Dale is amused by Lucas’ attempts and
explains that he is one step ahead of him.
- Suddenly it cuts to Phil who is shot and
killed.
- Lucas is overwhelmed by his sudden
death and his reaction is extremely
dramatic and emotional.
- The style of opening?... contains aspect
of Action Hero BUT it is mainly ‘The
Prologue’ as the rest of the film takes
place many months after the opening. We
have used ‘The Prologue’ to explain the
conflict between the two leading male
characters and to show the reason for
Lucas’s decline that we see in the rest of
the film
- The action-drama genre is evident as the
opening begins with a fast paced chase
scene involving high-tech gadgets and
guns, but the drama element comes
through at the end when Lucas breaks
down due to Phil’s murder.
