Guidebnb is an app created during a hackathon (THack 2011). This is the presentation slide for introducing the app during WIT@Bootcamp, at Suntec Singapore.

- Hi\nWe created Guidebnb, an app the helps you find a local tour guide to travel with.\n“Travel with ... real locals in 42 cities” - that is our vision, not real. But we do provide 2 cities - SG and HK.\nYes, I know you are thinking, we are like Airbnb. Even the name sounds like it. Yeah, we are similar to Airbnb, but we are effectively an Airbnb for Tour Guides.\nWhile Airbnb helps you hook up with people who wants to rent their room, Guidebnb helps you hook up with local people who can guide you in their city!\n
- So what is Guidebnb?\nI have already explained the first point - find local tour guide, and travel with them\nWhat else is Guidebnb?\nWe added a functionality to search for hotels nearby. This sounds very ordinary.\nHowever, Guidebnb is built as an IVR app.\nThat means, it is an app that can be accessed by making a phone call! It does not need 3G data access!\nThat means, although it is not like some awesome Android/iOS app, it does support all phones, even payphones!\n\n
