This should identify the question and outline your position.

They should identify exactly what that paragraph is about
and show , how it relates to the rest of the essay.

The goal of the persuasive essay is to convince the reader to
accept the writer’s point of view or recommendation.
The writer must build a case using facts and logic, as well
as examples, expert opinion, and sound reasoning.
The writer should present all sides of the argument, but
must be able to communicate clearly.

It could also be written simply to entertain the reader, or
to arrive at an insight into human nature.
The essay could discuss both similarities and differences,
or it could just focus on one or the other.
A comparison essay usually discusses the similarities
