EarthON cells which made from n-type wafers are LID-free. In case of P type cells, LID affect as Voc degradation,
however in case of EarthON, there are no degradation in spite of 1,500 hours irradiation at 1kW/m2.

High production yield was obtained and the latest average eff (of production lot) is going over 19.2%.
The very stable operation of our unique factory, designed only for bifacial cells, was confirmed.

- 23. Summary
We had succeeded to develop high eff and bifacial “EarthONTM” cell.
The unique 35MW factory, designed only for production of bifacial
cells, had completed in July ,2011.
The factory is in operation stably, high production yield was obtained
and the latest average eff is going over 19.2%
It was confirmed that bifaciality was over 95% in industrial production
result.

Bifacial effect of 14.5% was confirmed by measuring module
performance at outside.
We had completed 20% bifacial cells in R&D and will upgrade
production level in the near future.
The latest Topic
0.5MW (0.46MW in front side) bifacial PV system of our JP customer (general
electric company) is under construction and will be in operation in Jun, 2012.
The system will become the world largest bifacial PV plant.
