2. Introduction
Robots have been used for segregation throughout
different industries like- for recycling, separation of
medicines, work in hazardous regions and reduce
human effort to great extent.
• Here in Techniche we are organizing a similar event so
that we can give young minds an exposure to robotic
world and its utility.
• In our event we are focusing on segregation Using
robots which is of utmost use in today’s industrial
world, and multiple projects round the world are being
undertaken to develop such robotic machines for
industrial automation.
3. PROBLEM STATEMENT
Design a manual Robot which can separate different colour boxes on
moving conveyer belt.
4. ROAD TO WIN
The team able to separate maximum no of boxes in given
amount of time would win.
RULES
• IN QUALIFICATION ROUND EACH TEAM WOULD BE ALLOTED 3 MIN OF TIME TO
COMPLETE THE TASK.
• IN QUALIFICATION ROUND: TWO TEAMS WOULD BE PLAYING AT A TIME, BUT BOTH
TEAMS WOULD BE ANALYISED SEPARATELY.
• 32 TEAMS WOULD BE SELECTED FROM THE FIRST ROUND, WHICH WOULD BE
COMPETING AGAINST EACH OTHER IN KNOCK-OUT ROUND.
• IN KNOCK-OUT ROUND TWO TEAMS WOULD COMPETE AGAINST EACH OTHER.
WINING TEAM WOULD ADVANCE TO FINALS AND LOOSING TEAM WOULD BE OUT OF
COMPETITION.
• IN FINALS, EACH TEAM WOULD PERFORM INDIVIUALLY WITH A TIME SLOT OF 5 MIN.
TEAM WHO WOULD RISE AND PERFORM BEST WOULD BE DECLARED
WINNER, OTHERS WOULD BE RANKRD ACCORDINGLY.
• DC MOTORS HAVING RATING MORE THAN 12 VOLTS CANNOT BE USED.
5. • THE ORGANISERS RESERVE THE RIGHTS TO CHANGE ANY OR ALL OF THE ABOVE RULES AS
THEY DEEM FIT. CHANGE IN RULES, IF ANY WILL BE HIGHLIGHTED ON THE WEBSITE AND
NOTIFIED TO THE REGISTERED TEAMS.
• VIOLATION IN ANY OF THE ABOVE RULES WILL LEAD TO DISQUALIFICATION.
• JUDGES' DECISION SHALL BE CONSIDERED FINAL AND BINDING ON ALL.
6. DIMENSIONS AND FABRICATION
• THE MACHINE SHOULD FIT IN A BOX OF 250MM X 250MM X 250MM (L X B X H) AT
EVERY GIVEN POINT OF THE RACE. THE EXTERNAL DEVICE USED TO CONTROL THE
MACHINE IS NOT INCLUDED IN THE SIZE OR WEIGHT CONSTRAINT.
• THE MACHINE SHOULD NOT EXCEED 5KG OF WEIGHT.
ROBOT CONTROL REQUIREMENTS
• THE MACHINE CAN BE CONTROLLED WIRELESSLY OR WITH WIRES. OFF BOARD
POWER SUPPLIES ARE ALLOWED.
• IF THE MACHINE IS WIRED, THEN THE WIRE SHOULD REMAIN SLACK UNDER ALL
CIRCUMSTANCES DURING THE COMPETITION.
• IF THE MACHINE IS CONTROLLED WIRELESSLY, THE MACHINE MUST HAVE AT LEAST
A 4 FREQUENCY REMOTE CONTROL CIRCUIT OR 2 DUAL CONTROL CIRCUITS WHICH
MAY BE INTERCHANGED BEFORE THE START OF THE RACE TO AVOID FREQUENCIES
INTERFERENCE WITH OTHER TEAMS.
7. TEAM SPECIFICATIONS
• A TEAM MAY CONSIST OF A MAXIMUM OF 4 PARTICIPANTS,ALL
FROM THE SAME INSTITUTE.
• THE TEAMS MUST ADHERE TO THE SPIRIT OF HEALTHY
COMPETITION.
• ANY TEAM THAT IS NOT READY AT THE TIME SPECIFIED WILL BE
DISQUALIFIED AUTOMATICALLY.
• THE ORGANISERS RESERVE ALL THE RIGHTS TO CHANGE ANY OF
THE ABOVE RULES AS THEY DEEM FIT. CHANGE IN RULES IF ANY
WILL BE HIGHLIGHTED ON THE WEBSITE.
• IN CASE OF ANY DISCREPANCY , THE DECISION OF THE JUDGES
SHALL BE TREATED AS FINAL AND BINDING ON ALL.
8. GAMEPLAY
• POINTS WILL BE AWARDED AS FOLLOWS
• POINTS ARE TO BE AWARDED ONLY WHEN THE BLOCKS FALLS IN BOXES OF
MATCHING COLOUR
• NUMBER OF POINTS= 5 x (NUMBER OF WHITE STRIPS CROSSED)
• NEGATIVE POINT -5 WILL BE AWARDED IF BLOCK FALLS OFF THE ARENA.
