Government is traditionally known for red tape, stuffy hierarchies, endless policies, and clashing priorities. These and other variables make it difficult for government entities to embrace change and innovation, and more importantly apprehensive about peeling back the layers and letting data tell the stories. So how do you change that? In this talk we'll discuss how the Mayor's Operations Innovation Team is leveraging storytelling, education, public-private partnerships, and data visualization technologies to help LA embrace data.
