• Predictive Maintenance means replacing items at fixed
intervals
It uses direct monitoring of the operating condition , efficiency
and other indicators to determine the loss of efficiency
• Preventive Maintenance relies on average life statistics.
In this maintenance tasks are based on specific time/hours of
operation that are based on historical data
Benefits offered : reduction of maintenance expenditure ,
increase in useful life , elimination of downtime caused due to
failure
• Corrective Maintenance means fixing things when they are
failing or when they have actually failed.
It is the one that is generated as a result of system failure
