SBS MAICA(R) is a multifunctional Kiosk designed for hospitals. The Kiosk has different designs for
different purposes within the hospital environment such as: reception, laboratory, pharmacy and
operation theaters.
Patient Kiosk are interactive computer stations designed for self-service tasks, such as patient
check-in and collection of co-payments. Kiosks can be freestanding, wall-mounted, placed on
countertop, or they can be mobile on computers on wheels.
Interest in self-service kiosks is growing rapidly as hospitals seek to improve pa tient satisfaction and
operational efficiency. SBS addresses this need with innovative Multilanguage self-service kiosk.

REVENUE CYCLE MANAGEMENT
Billing & Revenue Cycle Management System is a specialized patient billing systems for health care

Project Description:
Taking into consideration the client’s requirements as well as the budget and
giving a full GAP Analysis report, SBS implemented INFINITT PACS for the dental
informatics solutions at Hamad Medical Corporations’ hospitals. SBS was also
responsible for the integration of the INFINITT PACS with the HIS RIS and PACS
which is used across all hospitals of Hamad Medical Corporation.
The solution included Dicom-ization for analogue sensors to digitize Dental
images and integrate them with Cerner. The solution was installed on disaster
recovery with 10 years data storage estimates and rolled out across all
government hospitals in Qatar and Primary Health Centers.

The solution was successfully completed across the pilot hospital and the rest of SEHA
facilities except in Al-Ain hospital. It allows identification of the patient using his biometric
sign of vein reading that uniquely belongs to the patient and linked to his Medical Record.
Moreover, this solution was branded in Arab Health 2014 slogan as - ‘Malaffi..my scan’.
The new enhancement to the Malaffi registration system uses technology that scans the
vein patterns in the patient’s palm to generate a unique numeric ID for the patient. Once
a patient is enrolled and a unique ID is generated, the system matches the unique ID
associated with the patient to their medical record in a matter of seconds. Date of birth
will serve as a second identifier to complement the biometric check, enhancing the
patient’s service by speeding up the registration process and ensure the right patient is
identified to receive the right healthcare, treatment medications and all other related
services.
The two-factor patient identification system is endorsed by the Joint Commission for
Patient Safety, which sets-up and monitors the implementation of the highest
international standards in hospital operations and patientsafety

The automated system provides a billing process that reduces high cost of labor encountered through patient billing in many medical institutions. The system is designed around the basic health constructs of patient transfers and services and can bill patients by the time spent in wards and locations using DRG and ICD codes. Billing and Revenue Cycle Management System spends up time between service provision and payment collection through capturing all patients service activity ensuring that none is left out, thereby increasing cash flow and revenue collection of the institution. Project Name: Implementation of Dental PACS Solution Client: Hamad Medical Corporation, Qatar Applied Solutions and Services: Installation and implementation Testing and commissioning Local Support Services Project Description: Taking into consideration the client’s requirements as well as the budget and giving a full GAP Analysis report, SBS implemented INFINITT PACS for the dental informatics solutions at Hamad Medical Corporations’ hospitals. SBS was also responsible for the integration of the INFINITT PACS with the HIS RIS and PACS which is used across all hospitals of Hamad Medical Corporation. The solution included Dicom-ization for analogue sensors to digitize Dental images and integrate them with Cerner. The solution was installed on disaster recovery with 10 years data storage estimates and rolled out across all government hospitals in Qatar and Primary Health Centers. The project also included basic training schedule for using the onsite, web -based PACS that manages digital images and information across the dental enterprise. The system interfaces with a wide range of dental imaging software and EDRs (Axium), creating an integrated viewing environment with advanced visualization and analysistools.

It allows identification of the patient using his biometric sign of vein reading that uniquely belongs to the patient and linked to his Medical Record. Moreover, this solution was branded in Arab Health 2014 slogan as - ‘Malaffi..my scan’. The new enhancement to the Malaffi registration system uses technology that scans the vein patterns in the patient’s palm to generate a unique numeric ID for the patient. Once a patient is enrolled and a unique ID is generated, the system matches the unique ID associated with the patient to their medical record in a matter of seconds. Date of birth will serve as a second identifier to complement the biometric check, enhancing the patient’s service by speeding up the registration process and ensure the right patient is identified to receive the right healthcare, treatment medications and all other related services. The two-factor patient identification system is endorsed by the Joint Commission for Patient Safety, which sets-up and monitors the implementation of the highest international standards in hospital operations and patientsafety
