The internet is great because it gives users of the internet
access to lots of information. The information is available for
free and often the author‟s name doesn‟t appear. In my
opinion if someone has chosen to put their information online
then they should not be surprised if someone uses that
information. If someone agrees with an article they find on
the internet, and it happens to be an article on a subject a
pupil needs to write an essay on, I think that it‟s fair for the
pupil to use it as their own. If the author didn‟t want this
they shouldn‟t have put it online.

  • 36. Mr Caddell Plagiarism Scenario REGISTER USING e1 EVERY LESSON DURING STARTER Back to Lesson 3 The internet is great because it gives users of the internet access to lots of information. The information is available for free and often the author‟s name doesn‟t appear. In my opinion if someone has chosen to put their information online then they should not be surprised if someone uses that information. If someone agrees with an article they find on the internet, and it happens to be an article on a subject a pupil needs to write an essay on, I think that it‟s fair for the pupil to use it as their own. If the author didn‟t want this they shouldn‟t have put it online. http://www.ispeech.org/view/547988/3892070 Back to Unit List
