2. What is Typhoon?
Typhoon is an app which allows you to
access and edit your files saved on your
personal computer through your phone. This
will be useful for those who work at home as
well as in the work place. For example, if
somebody leaves some important
paperwork on their pc at home, they can
access it using the Typhoon app. This will be
particularly useful for people who have a lot
of work on their plate and may forget to do
something important.
3. Problems That Typhoon Solves
You are able to print or access some
important paperwork you forget to print off or
pack, saved on your pc.
You can retrieve paperwork that is damaged
or lost.
You can edit something you wrote on a
report you have written, while on the way to
school or the office.
You are able to send files to your friend even if
your device does not have a PDF printer who
can only access PDF documents.
4. What Question Does Typhoon Address?
“What could I do when I leave something
important saved on my PC at home?” This
question is commonly faced by people who
go to school or have to hand in paperwork
regularly at their work.
5. Why is Typhoon Helpful?
Save yourself the trouble of remembering to
save your documents on a USB or printing them
at home, by simply clicking on the file and using
a hotkey to designate it to slowly upload in the
background if other programs are running which
would need higher bandwidth. Ever want to ask
your friends for help on a project, but they can’t
access the file you send them. Typhoon solves
that problem as it automatically downloads
Adobe reader alongside sending multiple types
of folder type.
6. XLR8
Our team, XLR8, is developing a mobile
application to help busy students and office
workers who have left important documents
at home by allowing them to access their
files through this app.
7. User Profiles
As we were scoping, we interviewed 15
fellow students who agreed that it was a
common issue to leave U.S.B stick’s or files
at home, on school days. Several of them
had not heard of an app which could
carry out the functions Similar to Typhoon,
and thought it would be a good Idea.
8. Competitors
Our app has a potential competitor,
Dropbox. However, Dropbox is designed for
older users, whereas Typhoon is aimed at
secondary school children and companies
where workers are unable to use.
9. Our special features
Typhoon specialises in the use of both Bluetooth to
sync in a select group of your devices.
Typhoon also, unlike Dropbox, has the option to set
due dates and send push notifications and
reminders at the appropriate times.
Another feature unique to typhoon is group folders,
which allow you to save files and post comments on
a server for a select group of peer and colleagues.
Typhoon also allows you to share your files to social
media, such as Facebook, Twitter ,Google+, etc.
10. Login Wireframe
Our app’s Login wireframe

of purple as it is a colour which
is used fairly seldom in App
world while the design is the
typical design for an app.
From her you can either login
in, signup or reset your
password.

12. Home-screen
Wireframe
On the home screen
wireframe, you can create and
upload new files. You can also
sync new devices to your
account. From your mobile you
are able to edit files while on
the go. Another option from
the home screen is to create a
new group folder to send
messages, recordings, videos
and files to peers and
colleagues.
13. Marketing Strategy
With an initial start up budget we aim to find
several add spaces for our app in related
applications or websites, while also selling
out advert spaces to other companies this
way after we have enough users we will
stop the advertising and then begin giving
an initial advert space.
