2. Gerbera One of my gerberas decided to grace the garden with a few new flowers that opened this week. I just can’t get enough of these flowers.
3. Evening Primrose Our primrose has not stopped flowering since we planted it in early spring. It’s so dainty that it perfectly complements the cottage garden.
4. Erigeron Speaking of cottage garden plants here’s another beauty. This sea-side daisy (Erigeron karvinskianus) molds into the floral landscape so easily that you can sometimes miss its stealth-like attack on the rest of the garden.
5. Pick the rose? Even this rose can’t compare to my beautiful daughter.
6. ? I’m useless at remembering this shrubs name. Every time I go back to the nursery I make a mental note to find out what it is and then forget again by the time I get home. Can you get Alzheimers at 35?
7. Valentine’s Day Like the rest of the world we celebrated Valentine’s Day on Wednesday. Commercialism gone berserk in my opinion but this Mr Lincoln rose decided to open for us anyway.
8. Water Feature One step closer to completion I finished the header course on our water feature last weekend. This was one of those procrastination jobs that was a huge relief once it was done. Now for the pipework, mosaic, plants, electrical connection, water and fish.
9. Gardenia Transplant I’m so proud of this little bush. We had to transplant it after the Ricinocarpus grew over top of it in the space of a week or two. When we put it in this pot it almost died, losing 90% of its foliage. But, it has fought back and is growing wonderfully. I can’t wait to see this next spring.
