Case study (California): Get kids to eat better lunch. The
solution is all about the food, right?

 The 1st solution … hire a caterer that serves some of the highest
nutritional meals in the nation.
 The outcome …when the lunch bell rang, many students weren’t
showing up.
 The real problem … wasn’t so much about the food itself, but
rather about how it was being served—the design of the lunch
experience.
 “aha moment” … In a world in which students are used to
expressing their opinions on social media, they had no voice in
shaping their food experience.
