QMS is all about having procedures in place for managing the business of installing microgeneration equipment – having them documented and having records which show that they are used for all your installations.Making sure every installation follows the same process.Assessment for certification looks at what your documented procedures are – then at how they have been used for each installation. Expectation is just to say what you do and do what your say.Size and complexity of the procedures and quality manual all depends on size and complexity of your business.
For CLE members – trying to keep costs down.Possibly some travel costs on top – depends on whether our subcontractors who provide the auditing services have to impose charges. Gemserv and REAL – same for all certification bodies and compulsory for all installers.Won’t be making unnecessary extra assessment visits, or charges to make changes to certificates. If extra assessment visits are needed to complete the assessment process, then there will be additional charges, but we expect that non-conformances can been dealt with by provision of evidence through post – then checked at next surveillance visit.
