Eng. Seena Zarie
1
The objective of this presentation is

bad deeds by dividing these good
deeds into seasons.

which have deeds which
will lead to heaven
(Jannah).
2
Fifthly :
Different Season
3
4
This season talks about
good deeds which can
be performed at
different times.
These deeds are great
options for everyone
since they are available
at different times. Also
they show mercy of
Allah towards us.
1) Reciting the Qur'an
Ibn Mas`ud (May Allah be pleased
with him) reported: The
Messenger of Allah (Peace Be
Upon Him) said, "Whoever recites
a letter from the Book of Allah, he
will be credited with a good deed,
and a good deed gets a ten-fold
reward. I do not say that Alif-Lam-
Mim is one letter, but Alif is a
letter, Lam is a letter and Mim is a
letter.'‘ [At-Tirmidhi].
5
2) Umrah
Abu Hurairah (May Allah be
pleased with him) reported: The
Messenger of Allah (Peace Be
Upon Him) said, "(The
performance of) `Umrah is an
expiation for the sins committed
between it and the previous
`Umrah; and the reward of Hajj
Mabrur (i.e., one accepted) is
nothing but Jannah.'‘ [Al-Bukhari
and Muslim].
6
3) Funeral Prayer
Abu Hurairah (May Allah be
pleased with him) reported: The
Messenger of Allah (Peace Be
Upon Him) said, "Whoever follows
the funeral procession and offers
the funeral prayer for it, will get a
reward equal to one Qirat, and
whoever attends it till burial, will
get a reward equal to two Qirat.''
It was asked, "What are two
Qirat?'' He (PBUH) replied, "Equal
to two huge mountains.'‘ [Al-
Bukhari and Muslim].
7
4) Fasting
Abu Sa`id Al-Khudri (May Allah be
pleased with him) reported: The
Messenger of Allah (Peace Be
Upon Him) said, "Every slave of
Allah who observes Saum (fasting)
for one day for the sake of Allah,
Allah will draw his face farther
from Hell-fire to the extent of a
distance to be covered in seventy
years.'‘ [Al-Bukhari and Muslim].
8
5) Matters Relating to Illness
Ali bin Abu Talib (May Allah be
pleased with him) reported: I
heard the Messenger of Allah
(Peace Be Upon Him) saying,
"When a Muslim visits a sick
Muslim at dawn, seventy
thousand angels keep on praying
for him till dusk. If he visits him in
the evening, seventy thousand
angels keep on praying for him till
the morning; and he will have (his
share of) reaped fruits in Jannah.'‘
[At-Tirmidhi].
9
6) Saying (Subhan-Allah) 100 times
Sa`d bin Abu Waqqas (May Allah be
pleased with him) reported: We were
with the Messenger of Allah (Peace Be
Upon Him) when he asked, "Is anyone
of you unable to earn a thousand
good deeds?'' One of those present
asked: "How can one earn thousand
good deeds in a day?'' He (Peace Be
Upon Him) replied, "By saying: Subhan
Allah a hundred times, then one
thousand good deeds will be recorded
for him or one thousand sins will be
blotted out from his record.'‘
[Muslim].
10
7) Saying (La ilaha illallah…)
Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him)
reported: The Messenger of Allah (Peace Be
Upon Him) said, "who utters a hundred times
in a day these words: `La ilaha illallahu,
wahdahu la sharika lahu, lahul-mulku wa
lahulhamdu, wa Huwa `ala kulli sha'in Qadir
(there is no true god except Allah. He is One
and He has no partner with Him; His is the
sovereignty and His is the praise, and He is
Omnipotent),' he will have a reward equivalent
to that for emancipating ten slaves, a hundred
good deeds will be recorded to his credit,
hundred of his sins will be blotted out from his
scroll, and he will be safeguarded against the
devil on that day till the evening; and no one
will exceed him in doing more excellent good
deeds except someone who has recited these
words more often than him.'‘ [Al-Bukhari and
Muslim].
11
Abu Ayyub Al-Ansari (May Allah be
pleased with him) reported: The
Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him) said:
"who utters ten times: `La ilaha
illallahu, wahdahu la sharika lahu,
lahulmulku wa lahulhamdu, wa
Huwa `ala kulli sha'in Qadir (there is
no true god except Allah. He is One
and He has no partner with Him. His
is the sovereignty and His is the
praise, and He is Omnipotent),' he
will have a reward equal to that for
freeing four slaves from the progeny
of Prophet Isma`il.'‘ [Al-Bukhari and
Muslim].

8) Saying (Subhan-Allah , Al-hamdu
lillah, La ilaha illallah and Allahu
Akbar)
Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased
with him) reported: The Messenger
of Allah (Peace Be Upon Him) said,
"The uttering of the words: "Subhan-
Allah (Allah is free from
imperfection), Al-hamdu lillah (all
praise is due to Allah), La ilaha illallah
(there is no true god except Allah)
and Allahu Akbar (Allah is the
Greatest)' is dearer to me than
anything over which the sun rises.''
[Muslim].
13
9) Saying (Subhan- Allahi wa
bihamdihi, Subhan-Allahil-Azim)
Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased
with him) reported: The Messenger of
Allah (Peace Be Upon Him) said, "There
are two statements that are light for
the tongue to remember, heavy in the
Scales and are dear to the Merciful:
`Subhan- Allahi wa bihamdihi,
Subhan-Allahil-Azim [Glory be to
Allah and His is the praise, (and)
Allah, the Greatest is free from
imperfection)'.'‘ [Al-Bukhari and
Muslim].
14
10) Supplicating Allah to Exalt the
Mention of Allah's Messenger
Abdullah bin `Amr bin Al-`As
(May Allah be pleased with
them) reported: I heard the
Messenger of Allah (Peace Be
Upon Him) saying: "Whoever
supplicates Allah to exalt my
mention, Allah will exalt his
mention ten times.'‘
[Muslim].
15
11) Saying (Subhan- Allahi wa
bihamdihi)
Abu Dharr (May Allah be
pleased with him) reported:
The Messenger of Allah (Peace
Be Upon Him) said to me,
"Shall I tell you the expression
that is most loved by Allah?''
It is `Subhan-Allahi wa
bihamdihi' (Allah is free from
imperfection and His is the
praise)'.'‘ [Muslim].
16
17
Abu Hurairah (May Allah be
pleased with him) reported: The
Messenger of Allah (Peace Be
Upon Him) said, “And who utters:
`Subhan-Allahi wa bihamdihi
(Allah is free from imperfection
and His is the praise)' one hundred
times a day, his sins will be
obliterated even if they are equal
to the extent of the foam of the
ocean.'‘ [Al-Bukhari and Muslim].
Cont. / Saying (Subhan- Allahi wa
bihamdihi)
12) Removal of harmful object
from the road
Abu Hurairah (May Allah be
pleased with him) reported:
The Prophet (Peace Be Upon
Him) said, "While a man was
walking, he saw a thorny
branch on the road, so he
removed it and Allah
appreciated his action and
forgave him". Al-Bukhari and
Muslim
18
13) Discomfort, illness,
anxiety, mental worry
Abu Sa`id and Abu Hurairah (May
Allah be pleased with him)
reported that the Prophet (Peace
Be Upon Him) said: "Never a
believer is stricken with a
discomfort, an illness, an anxiety,
a grief or mental worry or even
the pricking of a thorn but Allah
will expiate his sins on account of
his patience". [Al-Bukhari and
Muslim].
19
14) Kindness to Animals
Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him)
reported: Messenger of Allah (Peace Be Upon
Him) said, "While a man was walking on his
way he became extremely thirsty. He found a
well, he went down into it to drink water. Upon
leaving it, he saw a dog which was panting out
of thirst. His tongue was lolling out and he was
eating moist earth from extreme thirst. The
man thought to himself: `This dog is extremely
thirsty as I was.' So he descended into the well,
filled up his leather sock with water, and
holding it in his teeth, climbed up and
quenched the thirst of the dog. Allah
appreciated his action and forgave his sins".
The Companions asked: "Shall we be rewarded
for showing kindness to the animals also?'' He
(Peace Be Upon Him) said, "A reward is given in
connection with every living creature". [Al-
Bukhari and Muslim].
20
15) Seeking Forgiveness
Abu Hurairah (May Allah be
pleased with him) reported:
Messenger of Allah (Peace Be
Upon Him) said, "By the One
in Whose Hand my soul is,
were you not to commit sins,
Allah would replace you with
a people who would commit
sins and then seek forgiveness
from Allah; and Allah would
forgive them". [Muslim].
21
16) Charity
Abu Hurairah (May Allah be
pleased with him) reported:
Messenger of Allah (Peace Be
Upon Him) said, “Who gives in
charity the value of a date which
he legally earned, and Allah
accepts only that which is pure,
Allah accepts it with His Right
Hand and fosters it for him, as one
of you fosters his mare, until it
becomes like a mountain.'‘ [Al-
Bukhari]
22
23
17) Assembly Expiation
Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with
him) reported: Messenger of Allah (Peace
Be Upon Him) said, "Whoever sits in a
gathering and indulges in useless talk and
before getting up supplicates: `Subhanaka
Allahumma wa bihamdika, ashhadu an la
ilaha illa Anta, astaghfiruka wa atubu
ilaika (O Allah, You are free from every
imperfection; praise be to You. I testify
that there is no true god except You; I ask
Your Pardon and turn to You in
repentance),' he will be forgiven for (the
sins he may have intentionally or
unintentionally committed) in that
assembly.'‘ [At-Tirmidhi].
18) Calling to right guidance
- Abu Mas`ud `Uqbah bin `Amr Al-Ansari Al-
Badri (May Allah be pleased with him)
reported: Messenger of Allah (Peace Be Upon
Him) said, "Whoever guides someone to
virtue will be rewarded equivalent to him who
practices that good action". [Muslim].
- Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with
him) reported: Messenger of Allah (Peace Be
Upon Him) said, "If anyone calls others to
follow right guidance, his reward will be
equivalent to those who follow him (in
righteousness) without their reward being
diminished in any respect, and if anyone
invites others to follow error, the sin, will be
equivalent to that of the people who follow
him (in sinfulness) without their sins being
diminished in any respect". [Muslim].
24
19) Strives to help the widows
and the poor
Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased
with him) reported: The Prophet
(Peace Be Upon Him) said, “Who
strives to help the widows and the
poor is like the one who fights in the
way of Allah.'' The narrator said: I
think that he (Peace Be Upon Him)
added also: "I shall regard him as the
one who stands up (for prayer)
without rest and as the one who
observes fasts continuously".
[Al-Bukhari and Muslim].
25
20) Providing something to the
fasting Person
Zaid bin Khalid Al-Juhani (May
Allah be pleased with him)
reported: The Prophet (Peace Be
Upon Him) said, “Who provides a
fasting person something with
which to break his fast, will earn
the same reward as the one who
was observing the fast, without
diminishing in any way the reward
of the latter.'‘ [At-Tirmidhi].
26
27
21) Guarding the Islamic frontier
for the sake of Allah)
Salman (May Allah be pleased with
him) reported: I heard the Messenger
of Allah (Peace Be Upon Him) as
saying, "Observing Ribat in the way of
Allah for a day and a night is far better
than observing Saum (fasting) for a
whole month and standing in Salat
(prayer) in all its nights. If a person
dies (while performing this duty), he
will go on receiving his reward for his
meritorious deeds perpetually, and he
will be saved from Al-Fattan.'‘
[Muslim].
22) Attending (Thiker) Assemblies
Abu Hurairah and Abu Sa`id Al-
Khudri (May Allah be pleased with
them) reported: The Messenger of
Allah (Peace Be Upon Him) said,
"When a group of people
assemble for the remembrance of
Allah, the angels surround them
(with their wings), (Allah's) mercy
envelops them, Sakinah, or
tranquillity descends upon them
and Allah makes a mention of
them before those who are near
Him.'‘ [Muslim].
28
23) Visiting the Pious Persons
Abu Hurairah (May Allah be
pleased with him) reported: I
heard Messenger of Allah (Peace
Be Upon Him) saying, "Whosoever
visits an ailing person or a brother
of his to seek the Pleasure of
Allah, an announcer (angel) calls
out: `May you be happy, may your
walking be blessed, and may you
be awarded a dignified position in
Jannah". [At-Tirmidhi].
29
30
Tariq bin Ashyam (May Allah be
pleased with him) reported:
“Whenever a man entered the
fold of Islam, the Prophet (Peace
Be Upon Him) would show him
how to perform Salat and then
direct him to supplicate:
"Allahumm-aghfir li, warhamni,
wa-hdini, wa `afini, warzuqni (O
Allah! Forgive me, have mercy on
me, guide me, guard me against
harm and provide me with
sustenance and salvation).''
[Muslim].
24) Supplication
25) Good Intention
`Abdullah bin `Abbas (May Allah be pleased
with them) reported: Messenger of Allah
(Peace Be Upon Him) said that Allah, the
Glorious, said: "Verily, Allah (SWT) has
ordered that the good and the bad deeds be
written down. Then He explained it clearly
how (to write): He who intends to do a good
deed but he does not do it, then Allah
records it for him as a full good deed, but if
he carries out his intention, then Allah the
Exalted, writes it down for him as from ten to
seven hundred folds, and even more. But if
he intends to do an evil act and has not done
it, then Allah writes it down with Him as a
full good deed, but if he intends it and has
done it, Allah writes it down as one bad
deed". [Al-Bukhari and Muslim].

  • 1. Forgiveness Seasons Part - 3 Eng. Seena Zarie 1
  • 2. The objective of this presentation is to show good deeds which forgive bad deeds by dividing these good deeds into seasons. We concentrated more on forgiveness hadith, but also we showed some hadith which have deeds which will lead to heaven (Jannah). 2
  • 4. 4 This season talks about good deeds which can be performed at different times. These deeds are great options for everyone since they are available at different times. Also they show mercy of Allah towards us.
  • 5. 1) Reciting the Qur'an Ibn Mas`ud (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (Peace Be Upon Him) said, "Whoever recites a letter from the Book of Allah, he will be credited with a good deed, and a good deed gets a ten-fold reward. I do not say that Alif-Lam- Mim is one letter, but Alif is a letter, Lam is a letter and Mim is a letter.'‘ [At-Tirmidhi]. 5
  • 6. 2) Umrah Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (Peace Be Upon Him) said, "(The performance of) `Umrah is an expiation for the sins committed between it and the previous `Umrah; and the reward of Hajj Mabrur (i.e., one accepted) is nothing but Jannah.'‘ [Al-Bukhari and Muslim]. 6
  • 7. 3) Funeral Prayer Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (Peace Be Upon Him) said, "Whoever follows the funeral procession and offers the funeral prayer for it, will get a reward equal to one Qirat, and whoever attends it till burial, will get a reward equal to two Qirat.'' It was asked, "What are two Qirat?'' He (PBUH) replied, "Equal to two huge mountains.'‘ [Al- Bukhari and Muslim]. 7
  • 8. 4) Fasting Abu Sa`id Al-Khudri (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (Peace Be Upon Him) said, "Every slave of Allah who observes Saum (fasting) for one day for the sake of Allah, Allah will draw his face farther from Hell-fire to the extent of a distance to be covered in seventy years.'‘ [Al-Bukhari and Muslim]. 8
  • 9. 5) Matters Relating to Illness Ali bin Abu Talib (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: I heard the Messenger of Allah (Peace Be Upon Him) saying, "When a Muslim visits a sick Muslim at dawn, seventy thousand angels keep on praying for him till dusk. If he visits him in the evening, seventy thousand angels keep on praying for him till the morning; and he will have (his share of) reaped fruits in Jannah.'‘ [At-Tirmidhi]. 9
  • 10. 6) Saying (Subhan-Allah) 100 times Sa`d bin Abu Waqqas (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: We were with the Messenger of Allah (Peace Be Upon Him) when he asked, "Is anyone of you unable to earn a thousand good deeds?'' One of those present asked: "How can one earn thousand good deeds in a day?'' He (Peace Be Upon Him) replied, "By saying: Subhan Allah a hundred times, then one thousand good deeds will be recorded for him or one thousand sins will be blotted out from his record.'‘ [Muslim]. 10
  • 11. 7) Saying (La ilaha illallah…) Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (Peace Be Upon Him) said, "who utters a hundred times in a day these words: `La ilaha illallahu, wahdahu la sharika lahu, lahul-mulku wa lahulhamdu, wa Huwa `ala kulli sha'in Qadir (there is no true god except Allah. He is One and He has no partner with Him; His is the sovereignty and His is the praise, and He is Omnipotent),' he will have a reward equivalent to that for emancipating ten slaves, a hundred good deeds will be recorded to his credit, hundred of his sins will be blotted out from his scroll, and he will be safeguarded against the devil on that day till the evening; and no one will exceed him in doing more excellent good deeds except someone who has recited these words more often than him.'‘ [Al-Bukhari and Muslim]. 11
  • 12. Abu Ayyub Al-Ansari (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him) said: "who utters ten times: `La ilaha illallahu, wahdahu la sharika lahu, lahulmulku wa lahulhamdu, wa Huwa `ala kulli sha'in Qadir (there is no true god except Allah. He is One and He has no partner with Him. His is the sovereignty and His is the praise, and He is Omnipotent),' he will have a reward equal to that for freeing four slaves from the progeny of Prophet Isma`il.'‘ [Al-Bukhari and Muslim]. The man thought to himself: `This dog is extremely thirsty as I was.' So he descended into the well, filled up his leather sock with water, and holding it in his teeth, climbed up and quenched the thirst of the dog. Allah appreciated his action and forgave his sins".
