A National Plus School is a school that is accredited by the Association of National Plus Schools (ANPS) within one year of joining ANPS. There are four levels of ANPS accreditation based on how well a school meets mandatory and developing indicators. Recent changes to ANPS accreditation require schools to show a government operational permit or accreditation. Schools can be evaluated and accredited separately for different levels like elementary, middle, and high school. Schools with international accreditation may automatically receive the highest ANPS accreditation level for certain programs. National Plus Schools are evaluated based on 7 characteristics and 30 indicators related to policies, culture, languages, staff, learning outcomes, teaching programs, and facilities.
