Being too fat, also known as overweight or obesity, is defined as having too much body fat and can lead to serious health risks. It is a major risk factor for heart disease as it causes the heart to work harder and can lead to heart attacks. Obesity also increases blood pressure and cholesterol levels and blood sugar, which can cause diabetes. Many young women also want to avoid being overweight as it may negatively impact their physical appearance. More research is still needed but it is clear that being overweight is unhealthy.
