ITV’s broadcasting business is made up of ITV, the largest commercial

3. BROADCHURCH
Broadchurch is a British television crime drama broadcast on ITV
involving the death of a young boy and the search for his killer,
produced by Kudos and starring David Tennant and Olivia
Colman Casting was announced in June 2012, with filming
commencing in Clevedon in August as well as in West Bay in
Bridport. The series is set on the Dorset coast. It premiered on 4
March 2013 at 9:00pm on ITV Broadchurch attracts an average
of 9.4 million viewers every series.

4. LIGHTFIELDS
Lightfields is a five-part supernatural drama first shown on ITV
in the United Kingdom on 27 February 2013. It is a follow-on
from the popular ITV drama Marchlands with a similar storyline.
Lightfields tells the story of three different families living in the
same house in Suffolk during three different time periods, in
1944, 1975 and 2012. The three families are linked by the spirit
of a young girl who died in mysterious circumstances in 1944.
The first episode has the appearance of a ghost story spanning
three different time periods and generations in a single
farmhouse in Suffolk.

5. E4
E4 is a British digital television channel, launched as a pay-TV
companion to Channel 4 on 18 January 2001. The "E" stands for
entertainment, and the channel is mainly aimed at the lucrative
15–35 age group. Programming includes U.S. imports such as
The Cleveland Show, The O.C., Smallville, Veronica Mars,
Everwood What About Brian?, Desperate Housewives, How I
Met Your Mother, 90210, One Tree Hill, Ugly Betty, Scrubs, Rules
of Engagement, The Big Bang Theory, 2 Broke Girls, Revenge
and formerly Friends. Other programming includes British
shows such as Misfits, The Ricky Gervais Show, Shameless,
Hollyoaks, Skins, The Inbetweeners, Made in Chelsea and My
Mad Fat Diary Some U.S. imports, such as Desperate
Housewives and Ugly Betty are screened on E4 up to one week
ahead of their Channel 4 broadcasts. Its most successful
broadcast to date was on 11 October 2010 when an episode of
The Inbetweeners pulled in over 3.7 million viewers.
6. TOP BOY
Top Boy is a British television drama series that was first
broadcast on Channel 4. Season 1 was broadcast over
consecutive nights, from 31 October to 3 November 2011. Set
on the fictional Summerhouse housing estate in Hackney, the
series follows the lives of a group of people involved in drug
dealing and street gangs. A second series began airing on 20
August 2013 on Channel 4.The series is to show an insight to
life in east London estates and how drugs affect everyone living
there.

7. UTOPIA
Utopia is a British conspiracy thriller that debuted on Channel 4 on 15
January 2013. The show is written by Dennis Kelly and stars Fiona
O'Shaughnessy, Adeel Akhtar, Paul Higgins, Nathan Stewart-Jarrett,
Alexandra Roach, Oliver Woollford and Neil Maskell. A second series of
Utopia has been commissioned.

8. BBC 3
BBC Three is a television channel from the BBC broadcasting via digital
cable, terrestrial, IPTV and satellite platforms. The channel's target
audience includes those in the 16–34 year old age group, and has the
purpose of providing "innovative" content to younger audiences,
focusing on new talent and new technologies. The channel is on-air
from 19:00 to around 05:00 each night, in order to share terrestrial
television bandwidth with CBBC. Unlike its commercial rivals, 90% of
BBC Three's output is from the United Kingdom and other European
Union countries. 80% is original, covering all genres, from current
affairs, to drama, to comedy to animation. BBC Three has a unique 60
Seconds format for its news bulletins. This was adopted so that
operation of the channel could be completely automated, without the
complication of dealing with variable length live news broadcasts. The
current controller of the station is Zai Bennett and the Head of
Scheduling is Dan McGolpin.
9. IN THE FLESH
In the Flesh is a three-part BBC supernatural drama series which began
airing on BBC Three on 17 March 2013. The show was created and
written by Dominic Mitchell.[1] It is set after "The Rising", this show's
take on a zombie apocalypse, and focuses on re-animated teenager
Kieren Walker as he comes back into the local community. A second,
extended series of the show has been commissioned, to be broadcast
in 2014. As yet, it is unknown how many episodes the new series will
comprise, but it is believed it will be five or six.

10. THE FADES
The Fades is an award winning British supernatural drama television series
created and written by Jack Thorne The six episodes were first
broadcast on BBC Three and BBC HD beginning 21 September 2011 and
on BBC America from 14 January 2012. The programme centred on a
bedwetting English teenager named Paul who is haunted by apocalyptic
dreams. He is able to see spirits of the dead, known as the Fades, all
around him. The Fades cannot be seen, smelt, heard or touched by
other humans – they are what is left of humans who have died but have
not been accepted into the afterlife. As such, the Fades left on Earth
have become embittered and vengeful toward the human race. It is
shown in the first episode that the Fades have found a way to become
partly human again and regain control of touch within the real world.
However, they remain unseen in the world except to those special few
like Paul – 'Angelics' – who have the ability to perceive the Fades. Paul
finds himself pulled into a conflict between the Angelics and the Fades,
trying to prevent the Fades from breaking back into the world and
destroying the human race.
