How do your products engage with the audience and how would they
be distributed as real media products?

ANSWER
 My Advanced Portfolio product is a music video. To produce my
music video, I carried out a target audience research first, in order to
examine that whether my chosen genre (Rock/Drama) is ideal for the
audience or not, I conducted interviews and prepared a questionnaire
to take audience’s opinion. I questioned people belonging to different
age groups, but most of them were young adults.
ANSWER
 The top 4 questions in my interview were:
1. Do you think that the music video should give a message to the
audience or it should be a performance based video?
2. What should be the plot of the music video?
3. What should be the main source of distribution of the video?
4. Is the genre “Drama” suitable for a rock track, if it is a narrative
based video?
ANSWER
 The answers which a received from the audience were:
• Do you think that the music video should give a message to the
audience or it should be a performance based video? (92% of the
audience said that it should be a narrative + performance based video.)
• What should be the plot of the music video? (74% of the audience
said that it should be an outdoor + indoor place, depending on the story.)
ANSWER
• What should be the main source of distribution of the video?
(97% of the audience said that the video should be distributed online
on social sites, such as vimeo, youtube and facebook.)
• Is the genre “Drama” suitable for a rock track, if it is a narrative
based video? (69% of the audience said a yes.)
ANSWER
 Apart from the audience, if I talk about my own opinion:
• I thought that Drama is a perfect genre for my music video, since I
had to show a real life tragedy in my video.
• The target audience of my music video should be teenagers and young
adults as they really need a proper message for their living.
• According to my research there were very less rock music videos
which were conveying a message to the audience for their own kind, so I
decided to choose such genre in which I can help the audience as well.
ANSWER
 Hence, as a real media product, my music video should be
distributed on social network as my targeted audience (teenagers and
young adults) mostly access through the social network. After
analyzing every step, I distributed my product on vimeo.com.

ANSWER  Apart from the audience, if I talk about my own opinion: • I thought that Drama is a perfect genre for my music video, since I had to show a real life tragedy in my video. • The target audience of my music video should be teenagers and young adults as they really need a proper message for their living. • According to my research there were very less rock music videos which were conveying a message to the audience for their own kind, so I decided to choose such genre in which I can help the audience as well.
