3. If you look at light as a "spring" when bunched up
it is toward the blue end of the spectrum and
when stretched it is shifted more toward red. if
your relation to an object becomes more
distance, by constant movement away, the spring
becomes stretched causing the object to appear
more red.
4. BLUESHIF
TBlueshift is a direct result of the Doppler
effect, though they are other phenomenon
that can also result in light becoming blue
shifted. As an object emitting radiation
approaches an observer each subsequent
photon is produced closer to the previous
photon because of the proper motion of
the object. The result is that the photon
peaks appear to be closer together than
they actually are, making the wavelength
of light shorter, as determined by the
observer.

You can tell what direction a star
or galaxy is moving in because
of the colour,If its Blue it comes
towards you but if its red then its
going away from you.

of a source to differ from the sent frequency if
there is motion that is increasing or decreasing
the distance between the source and the receiver.
This effect is readily observable as variation in the
pitch of sound between a moving source and a
stationary observer. Imagine the sound a race car
makes as it rushes by, whining high pitched and
then suddenly lower.

Red shift in the spectrum of starlight is an
indication that the star is moving away
from us. The more extreme the
Redshift, the faster it is moving away.
What we see is this: the further we look out
in space, the more extreme the Redshift is
from the distant galaxies. The further away
they are, the faster they are receding. That
in turn indicates that the universe is
