INTRODUCTION In 1996: the Ministry of Education planned the Smart School concept based on critical and creative teaching and learning processes ,[object Object]
Transform Malaysian education to fulfill vision 2020
role of teachers,  administrators  parents  community enhanced in the education. ,[object Object]
various curricula on-going evaluation,  handled by professional administrators and teachers. ,[object Object],[object Object]
Malaysian Smart School Main components :  according to the Smart School Conceptual Blueprint are as follows: Teaching-learning processes :“heart” Management and Administration: “brain” Human Resources, Skills and Responsibilities Processes = system Technology Policies : Implementation

Sustained, productivity-driven growth Apply technology in education Critical thinking Full participation in global economy                                                                                                                          Produce : Intellectual Spiritually Emotionally, and Physically   - balanced and harmonious individuals 2. Technology in education Transformation of memory-based learning Smart schools: Creative thinking Different learning style- uses technology More equitable access Exercises great responsibility WHY??
Prepare children for the Information Age:   promote goals of National Philosophy of   Education  Emphasizes Intellectual,  Emotional,  Spiritual, and  Physical growth Provide all-round development  Broad curriculum – electives n vertically integrated Multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary SMART SCHOOL CONCEPT:
Provide opportunities to enhance individual strengths and abilities Creative thinking Values application Language Produce a thinking and  technology-literate work force Critical thinking Creativity in curriculum Apply technology effectively in teaching and learning
Democratized education Equal opportunities and accommodating learning  Abilities Styles Processes  Increase the participation of stakeholders Awareness of roles and responsibilities  Skills development
Teaching And Learning Environment Comprises four areas: Curriculum to help students achieve overall and balanced development  Pedagogy  appropriate mix of learning strategies   ensure mastery of basic competencies  promotion of holistic development
