2. Introduction
 Internet Of Things is alternatively
referred to as Pervasive computing,
Ubiquitous computing, haptic
computing etc.
 It is a network of physical objects
embedded with sensors, software
connectivity to enable greater
service exchanging data with the
connected services.
 It offers advanced connectivity of
devices, system covering wide range
of applications, protocols and
domains.

3. Trends
 IoT is emerging as a third wave in the development of
internet, personal lives, workplace productivity and
consumptions will change.
 The current trends and applications in this area are
increasing as we progress towards a smarter world.
 Smart cities, smart parking lots, smart lighting or
ambience adjustment, smart phones integration into our
daily lives helping us interconnect with other devices etc
are all a few applications in the area.

4. Interest Areas
 My field of interest resides in addressing the securing
concerns.
 When a lot of such devices are interconnected,
there may be a high risk of our data(personal as well
as maybe work related) being hacked or accessed
through “rouge devices”.
 Also, machine learning is a field of my interest. To
enable the devices connected to each other to
interact with each other in an effective way, to
device such applications for this purpose.
 I have also presented a presentation on this topic in
the name of Ubiquitous computing, explaining the
concept and challenges faced in this area.
