We all know science/R&D plays a crucial role in our lives but not everyone appreciates the frustrations scientists face with respect to intellectual property rights and patents. Unbelievably, a lot of scientists are still grappling with traditional Paper Laboratory Notebooks to record findings and avoid potential litigation – this means hand-written notes and literally cutting and pasting paper from digital sources.
