MATERIALS REQUIRED:
Glass jar/an empty bottle
One cup of soil sample
Three cups of water
Glass jar

2. Add one cup of soil and 3 cups of water into the jar.
Stir well, and if using a bottle close lid and shake well.
Leave it to stand till all particles settle.

3. Watch carefully at the soil in the jar after it had settled.
You will be able to observe different layers.
Study carefully. Compare with other soil samples.
