2. FABRICS
• COTTON- It is a natural fibre that comes from a seedpod
of the cotton plant and is used to make many fabric
types. The fibre is hollow in the centre and, under the
microscope, resembles a twisted ribbon.
• POLYESTER- it is a man made fibre consisting of polymer.
polyester fibres are very stable and strong.
• NYLON- it is made from polyamide fibre, derived from a
diamine and a dicarboxylic acid that is formed into thin
strands and woven into fabric. It is a synthetic faabric
that utilizes the chemical by products of coal, petroleum
and agricultural products.
• RAYON- it is a natural – based material that is made from
the cellulose of the wood pulp or cotton.
