entered 2022 and registered a decrease in the number of
coronavirus positive patients, restrictions on flying are being eased.
India is one such nation that is allowing people from other countries
to cross its border. But there are certain guidelines that travellers
must follow. To know what they are, read the next section!

Planning to Travel:
Passengers planning to fly to India should provide complete and factual
information in a self-declaration form available on the online Air Suvidha
portal. While doing so, they should mention the travel details for the last
14 days. They also need to upload a negative covid-19 RT-PCR report or a
certificate of completing the primary vaccination schedule of the covid-19
vaccine. Moreover, a declaration of the report's authenticity must also be
submitted. The travellers must provide an undertaking on the Air Suvidha
portal or submit it to the Ministry of Civil Aviation.
4. 2. Before Boarding:
Before boarding the flight, passengers shall be provided with a list of do's
and dont's along with the ticket. Only asymptomatic flyers will be allowed
to board after the thermal screening. Also, they shall be advised to install
the Arogya Setu App on their phones.
3. During Travel:
When travellers are in flight, an announcement shall be made about the
precautionary measures that flyers must follow. The crew must ensure
that the passengers are following covid-19 appropriate behaviour at all
times. If a traveller is showing covid symptoms like fever, he shall be
isolated during the journey. Also, passengers will be informed about the
testing requirements to avoid crowding at the airport.
5. 4. On Arrival:
Physical distancing must be ensured once the passengers have reached the
airport. Thermal screening should be carried out at the time by the health
officials. If any passenger displays covid-19 symptoms, he shall be
immediately isolated and taken to a medical facility. Furthermore, 2% of
the total passengers shall be tested post-arrival randomly to ensure
everyone's safety. Besides, all the travellers need to be advised to self-
monitor their condition for the next fourteen days of arrival.
This is the perfect time to travel with the decreasing number of covid-19
cases and eased travel restrictions. So, if you are an international
traveller planning on flying to India, follow the above-mentioned
guidelines for flying safely.
