Basic Solution:
Industry Requirements must have useful associations and impact toward education,
workforce development, and labor market transactions (Talent Grid).
Basic Formula:
Use common language and metrics to support education readiness programs,
industry talent management systems, and workforce solutions people services with
an eye toward building regional economic capacity.
Basic Approach:
Leverage emerging Social Media and Semantic Web technologies to classify and
cluster unstructured processes.
Basic Problem:
People, Politics, Parochialism, and Performance!

First: Build an industry-driven/validated job talent requirements
resource using a customized Texas version of DOL O*NET
Detailed Work Activities.
Second: Establish industry level performance and learning difficulty
metrics for job DWAs.
Third: Align the DWAs to TEA CTE-TEKS student expectations
(learning objectives) as means to benchmark current
alignment and automate rewrite for future releases.
Fourth: Align the DWAs to post-secondary CTE Skill Certificates /WECM.
Fifth: Align the DWAs to industry career certifications.
Sixth: Utilize metrics to improve career placement (labor exchange)
Seventh: Design and implement State-Wide Career Opportunity
Talent Grid and provide Web 2.0/3.0 capability for users.
