Hello, my name is (YOUR NAME) and in this session I would like to provide you with a brief overview of our company and our solution, QlikView, which represents the next generation of business intelligence. We will discuss our innovative approach to business analysis and how this differs from traditional solutions. What we hope to share with you today is the essence of this new approach – “The Power of Simplicity”.
Born from this mission and in-memory associative technology, QlikTech was founded in 1993 in Sweden and launched its BI solution QlikView in 1994. To effectively bring this next generation solution to market and deliver on its mission, QlikTech established an experienced leadership team and supporting organization. QlikTech is headquartered in the United States in Radnor, Pennsylvania (just outside of Philadelphia) with offices and partners around the world to support our customers. We are the leading provider of next generation in-memory BI solutions. In addition, we have been recognized by IDC as the fastest growing BI software company in the world for the last two years with profitable, annual revenue growth of ~ 80%. As of August 2007, we have 6,125 customers and are adding 12.5 new customers every day— totaling 276,000 live users across 76 countries—the most of any company providing next generation BI solutions.
This mission of ‘simplifying analysis for everyone’ is very much a shared vision – one that is shared by many of the world’s leading companies. Regardless of industry, functional area or underlying systems, these leading organizations are turning to and relying on QlikView as a next generation BI platform to move their BI strategies forward to provide this intelligence throughout their organizations. Such companies, include: 3M in Mill Products Manufacturing conducting Operational analysis related to Six Sigma and Quality Improvement; Blekinge Hospital in Healthcare conducting Operational analysis managing Patient Flows and Diagnoses and Treatments; Heidelberger in Industrial Machinery Manufacturing conducting Sales analysis providing a customer dashboard on SAP BW; Campbell’s in Consumer Products conducting Supply Chain analysis to ensure a responsive demand chain; Vellinge Municipality in Government conducting Finance and HR analysis to have an efficient government operation; Shell in Oil, Gas & Chemicals conducting Sales, Operational, and Financial analysis on JD Edwards; Sonofon in Telecommunications conducting Service & Support analysis monitoring customer churn; Atlas Copco in Industrial Machinery Manufacturing conducting many areas of analysis on Lawson/Movex, BPCS, and SAP; Novartis in Pharmaceuticals conducting Sales and R&D analysis such as clinical trials; SEB in Banking conducting Sales and Marketing analysis measuring customer portfolio and share of wallet
To deliver a new approach to business intelligence, we as a company have been driven by an unrelenting focus on our mission of ‘simplifying analysis for everyone’. This statement captures the true intent of business intelligence, but has yet to be delivered by traditional solutions – which remain not only complex and cumbersome with OLAP cubes to develop, use and maintain, but also limited to a select few power analysts that are granted access to the information and actually know how to navigate and use the tool. Our mission is to deliver on the promise of not just business intelligence, but business intelligence made simple. Using patented in-memory association technology, QlikView ‘simplifies’ sophisticated analysis by making it dramatically easier to deploy, use and maintain. QlikView’s click-driven, visually-interactive interface allows users to gain valuable insights from data orders of magnitude more quickly, simply and visually. Simply put…QlikView delivers the power of an OLAP cube with the simplicity of a PDF report – thereby putting information in the hands of ‘everyone’.
Now that we have a better understanding of your organization’s business analysis needs, I would like to now do a solution demonstration. However, let’s just take a minute to revisit some key differentiators of how QlikView is applying ‘new rules’ to common messages in the marketplace and how QlikView is simplifying analysis for everyone. Some of the new rules that I hope will become powerfully clear in the demonstration are: -Fast Implementation – the ability to work with our customers to have them live in less than 30 days -Easy To Use – the application is quite intuitive and visually interactive -Powerful – in analyzing large data volumes, calculating aggregates in memory, and drilling down to the transaction level detail – all in near instant response times -Flexible – allowing unlimited dimensions and measures that can be modified in seconds -Integrated – providing dashboards, analysis and reporting in a single solution and architecture -Low Cost – a solution based on simplifying analysis; and a solution based on software rather than a consulting model -Risk Free – allowing anyone to download a fully functional version of QlikView to see its value [NOTE TO PRESENTER: this slide is meant to set the stage for a demo, which is prompted in the following slide. This same slide follows the demo prompt slide, allowing you to review what you had told them prior to the demo and, hopefully, showed them in the demo.]
