Choose from any of these fun activities: Learn a nursery rhyme or poem
Listen to someone read you a book Play a guessing game with someone
Tell a story to someone Listen to a music CD
Act out a story with your friends Listen to a book on CD
Act out a story with puppets Sing a song you learned at the Library
Draw a picture of a story you like Make something you found in a book
Learn a new finger play Make a word box, and add a word!

Read-to-Me

A note for parents/caregivers:
There are 13 different activities listed. To complete the Read-to-Me program, you
and your child can do ten of them in any combination.
For example, you could read ten books with your child. This would be ten
activities.
Or, you could read five books, learn three nursery rhymes, listen to a music CD,
and tell a story to someone. This would also add up to ten activities.
You may do any of the activities in whatever combination you like. You don’t have
to do every type of activity, but you can if you want to. You are not required to
write down the names of the books you have read.
Every week your child has completed an activity, bring this record to the desk
(from June 27 – August 13), and we will give your child the weekly prize. In
addition, for every ten activities completed, your child will receive a free book.
