you took on the beach. Keep
a simple company approved
desktop image that does not
burn the eyes!

to see those 10 other project
files you are working on,
close all unnecessary files
and keep your desktop clean

4. Email and instant messaging
notifications are always
distracting and sometimes
embarrassing, turn off all
notification pop-ups in
advance

5. You don’t want your laptop to
take a snooze at the most
critical point in your
presentation and you already
know how difficult it is to get
the audience to re-focus

6. Don’t depend on your client`s
internet access. Audiences
get frustrated when you
make them wait for a video or
audio to buffer. Embed the
necessary files in the
presentation itself

7. Get in an hour earlier at the
venue and check if all the
equipment is working
correctly. Projectors can be
funny animals. Also, keep
your charger connected
when presenting

8. Adjust the sound level before
the audience gets into the
room. Use a lapel mic if
possible so that you can use
your hands while presenting

9. Always carry backups and
backups of your backups.
You never know if your USB,
laptop or any other device
may fail and bring the entire
presentation crashing down

10. Poor lighting can kill your
presentation so make sure
that lighting is set at an
ambient level so that neither
does it blur out the screen
not does it put the audience
to sleep
