The document discusses how Victorian ghost stories often involved elements of family life. This may have been done to emphasize how abnormal and disturbing ghosts would be if encountered within one's own family setting, making the stories more realistic and relatable to Victorian readers. Family was a central part of Victorian life, so it was natural for ghost stories of the period to feature family themes. Reading ghost stories together was also a popular family Christmas Eve activity during the Victorian era.

The document discusses the relationship between intentionality and phenomenal character. Intentionality refers to the directedness of thoughts toward an object or state of affairs, along with the specific way that object is thought about. Phenomenal character describes what it is like to be in a mental state. Some philosophers argue that intentional states must have phenomenal character, since to be conscious is to have a subjective experience or phenomenology. They believe a state cannot be conscious without also being phenomenal. The document examines these philosophical views on the inseparability of intentionality and phenomenal character.

The Cold War lasted from 1947 to 1991 and was characterized by tensions and proxy wars between the US and USSR rather than direct combat. Both sides heavily funded defense systems to deter direct war due to the risk of mutual annihilation. The Cold War split the world into supporting either the capitalist US or communist USSR and their differing political systems. It was a major turning point in history that led to conflicts like the Korean War, Vietnam War, and Cuban Missile Crisis as the two superpowers vied for global influence and ideological dominance.

LAND USE LAND COVER AND NDVI OF MIRZAPUR DISTRICT, UPRAHUL
This Dissertation explores the particular circumstances of Mirzapur, a region located in the
core of India. Mirzapur, with its varied terrains and abundant biodiversity, offers an optimal
environment for investigating the changes in vegetation cover dynamics. Our study utilizes
advanced technologies such as GIS (Geographic Information Systems) and Remote sensing to
analyze the transformations that have taken place over the course of a decade.
The complex relationship between human activities and the environment has been the focus
of extensive research and worry. As the global community grapples with swift urbanization,
population expansion, and economic progress, the effects on natural ecosystems are becoming
more evident. A crucial element of this impact is the alteration of vegetation cover, which plays a
significant role in maintaining the ecological equilibrium of our planet.Land serves as the foundation for all human activities and provides the necessary materials for
these activities. As the most crucial natural resource, its utilization by humans results in different
'Land uses,' which are determined by both human activities and the physical characteristics of the
land.
The utilization of land is impacted by human needs and environmental factors. In countries
like India, rapid population growth and the emphasis on extensive resource exploitation can lead
to significant land degradation, adversely affecting the region's land cover.
Therefore, human intervention has significantly influenced land use patterns over many
centuries, evolving its structure over time and space. In the present era, these changes have
accelerated due to factors such as agriculture and urbanization. Information regarding land use and
cover is essential for various planning and management tasks related to the Earth's surface,
providing crucial environmental data for scientific, resource management, policy purposes, and
diverse human activities.
Accurate understanding of land use and cover is imperative for the development planning
of any area. Consequently, a wide range of professionals, including earth system scientists, land
and water managers, and urban planners, are interested in obtaining data on land use and cover
changes, conversion trends, and other related patterns. The spatial dimensions of land use and
cover support policymakers and scientists in making well-informed decisions, as alterations in
these patterns indicate shifts in economic and social conditions. Monitoring such changes with the
help of Advanced technologies like Remote Sensing and Geographic Information Systems is
crucial for coordinated efforts across different administrative levels. Advanced technologies like

2. The United Height Of The Transition Of Philadelphia s...
At the height of the transition of Philadelphia s economy from agricultural to industrial, Philadelphia
experienced a period of economic prosperity for almost all its citizens. Businesses were booming, new
projects and development were established, the banking and commerce industries soared and a record
number of jobs were created enabling the city to reach full employment rate, something that the city
has yet to experience since. Citizens were confident in the government and financial institutions were
equally confident in their citizens as evident by lax lending habits. As all good things typically come
to an end, Philadelphia had an economic turn for the absolute worse. In 1920, the stock market
crashed with several major bank failures and employment rate plummeted. The city then went through
the worse financial time in the history of the U.S. known as the Great Depression. Citizens looked to
their government for ways and means of ending the suffrage wreaking havoc on a once thriving and
prosperous city. The significant increase in unemployment rate resulted in citizens losing trust and
hope in the Republican Party, the party in power at the time. The New Deal initiative was then
developed under President Roosevelt, which slowly ushered in the recovery of the economy and the
city as a whole. The effects of the Great Depressions were alleviated to some degree; nevertheless the
city struggled to achieve economic stability once more, but there was hope in sight. Despite the

3. Assay Discounting Task
In a typical delay discounting task, participants are faced with hypothetical choices such as receiving
$10 today vs. $11 in one week. If people choose $10 today over $11 in a week, one may describe this
preference as devaluation or discounting of future consequences; $11 in one week is worth less than
$10 today. The idea behind research employing these tasks is that people s performance to some extent
should reflect their real world preferences in conflicts between immediate versus delayed rewards,
such as the immediate reward of a drug versus its long term consequences. Indeed, past research has
found little difference between preferences concerning hypothetical choices and preferences
concerning actual monetary choices (Johnson Bickel, 2002; Matusiewicz, Carter, Landes, Yi, ... Show

Thus, present consumption is tied to health related, social, and economic costs of future consumption.
It is therefore reasonable to assume that substance use is associated not only with discounting of future
gains, but also with discounting of future costs. Furthermore, substance use and substance use
problems have been associated with a range of impulsiveness traits (e.g., Miller Lynam, 2013), some
of which measure a lack of concern for future consequences. Although the association between gain
discounting and substance use is well established (MacKillop et al., 2011), this does not necessarily
imply a connection between cost discounting and substance use. Gain discounting and cost
discounting may reflect fundamentally different processes. At least for common discounting tasks (for
an exception see Shelley, 1993), gains are discounted to a larger extent than losses (Baker, Johnson,
Bickel, 2003; Thaler, 1981). When framing choices as losses instead of gains, it is

(merriam Webster) defines a tradition as an inherited, established or customary pattern of thought,
action, or behavior (as a religious practice or a social custom). In relation to these traditions most of
them take place near or at a stadium where you can locate a sense of community. Research has also
shown that social spaces (football stadiums) are prominent in creating unity within a community or
school (Warner: shaping Community on Campus). So yes the traditions and venues and names of these
venues must all contribute to fit in the community. With this in mind traditions can all get lost when a
corporation comes in and decides to name the venue (Boyd 2000). Maintaining traditions have been
shown to be valuable and changing the name of something historic could ruin the prestige of said
facility and result in outrage (Snider, Rysen). A example of this is when the GEO Group, a
multinational corporation that runs prisons, pledged $6 million for the naming rights to Florida
Atlantic Universities stadium. The fans were upset and did not agree and decided to protest. The
university administrators listened to the fans as they expressed their feelings to preserve the history of
Coach Howard whom the field is named after (GEO Group Article). Today the stadium is named FAU
stadium representing the university as a whole. This facility is considered the location where they are
able to establish a sense of community and come together. In other words it is a name and a place that

Once you have a budget you must compare how you are performing to that budget regularly.
Minimally once per quarter. If you don t do this critical step then you have no idea how good or bad

Snowboarding is an activity where an individual descends down a snow covered hill standing on a

on the recreational activities skateboarding, surfing, and sledding. You can slide off of snow filled

warfare quickly became the main form of warfare, this combined with machine guns being introduced,
lead to a stalemate. German High Commanders decided that they needed to find something to gain
more land and get out of the stalemate. The first time Germany decided to use chemical weapons they
used Xylyl Bromide against Russia. The Germans filled explosive shells with the chemical at russian
lines with almost zero effect due to the chemical not vaporizing in the sub zero temperatures. The
german scientist responsible for most of germany s chemical weapons advancement was Fritz Haber.
Haber had the idea to use chlorine to sweep out the trenches. They planned to release the gas from
canisters and use the wind to carry the gas toward enemy trenches. (move description of blister agents

Britain shortly created a chemical weapons division named Porton Down. British scientist quickly

he is sent to Heaven. Wormwood wasn t successful in turning the patient away from Christ. Screwtape
is turned into a larger centipede for failing to convince his nephew to convince the patient to leave
God .The theme of this novel is would be to try and prove that Christianity will always prevail. Even
though as Christians our faith is tested everyday we should just persevere and know that God is with
us. Even though Screwtape was evil he was also very wise. Screwtape knew exactly what to do in
order to lead the patient down the wrong path. Whenever a person is suffering Screwtape says that it

whenever the Europeans went into a second war he was delirious with joy. But Screwtape had to teach
him not to get joyful so fast. Finally, the patient would be described as a person who is easily

15. The Scientific Revolutions and Copernicus Book Essay
The Scientific Revolutions and Copernicus Book
In the sixteenth and seventeenth century a Scientific Revolution swept over Europe. The start of this
Scientific Revolution has been atributed to Nicolaus Copernicus and his Heliocentric Model of the
Universe.
Copernicus was born in Torun Poland on February 19, 1473. His parents both died when he was very
young so he was sent to live with his uncle who was a high ranking official in the Church. Copernicus
studied canon law, medicine, astronomy, Greek, philosophy, and mathematics. His diversified fields of
study led him to hold the positions of physician, teacher, member of parliament, and canon law expert
for the Church. At the age of twenty Copernicus left Poland for Italy for the ... Show more content on

The Church felt that the earth as the center of the universe showed the special place that man had in
the eyes of God. The Church believed that this model was divine and therefore any criticism on the
Ptolmaic model coud be viewed as direct criticism on God. As a result of the Church s strong view
many scientists were scared from disagreeing with it for fear of being labled as a heretic and possibly
being excommunicated. Copernicus feared the Church so much that he left Italy and returned to
Poland so that he could continue his work without fear of persecution. No one seriously dismissed the
Ptolemaic theory of the universe until 1616 when Galileo began to teach the Heliocentric Model of the
Universe. Galileo proved Copernicus s theory to his students by showing them the planets through the
use of telescopes. The Ptolemaic Model of the Universe stated that the Earth was at the center of the
universe, the planets, stars rotated around the Earth in a perfect uniform circular motion, and that all of
the objects in the Heavens were made of perfect material that could not change.
Nicolaus Copernicus was not the first person to develop the theory of a sun centered universe.
Aristarchus of Samos was the first to propse the theory of a Heliocentric Universe in 200 B.C.. This
theory is very similar to the Ptolemic model of the universe. The major difference is that the sun not

Discuss the role of the early years practitioner in planning provision to meet the needs of the child.
This essay aims to explore the role of the early years practitioner in planning provision to meet the
needs of the child, simultaneously applying theoretical research and professional practice. In addition
to this, making appropriate links to the Early Years Foundation Stage and using pertinent examples to
support the child s needs.
In order to be a successful early years practitioner, they should be able to demonstrate key skills, these

This can lead to an increased sense of self esteem, the motivation and confidence to participate in new
activities.
It is imperative that practitioners are able to observe and assess each child s development in order to
gain a full understanding of their development and how they can build upon this in order to cater to
the needs of the child and allow them to fulfill their potential. This is highlighted by Wheeler (2009,
p.63) in stating that Observations are fed into family worker and team planning so that future activities
can be based on an individual child s interests and patterns of behavior and thereby enhance their
learning .
The importance of practitioner observation is further underlined by Bruce (2010, p.37) in stating that
every observation is likely to have some implications for planning: first, with regard to the individual
child and, secondly, for the staff and setting perhaps changing a routine or introducing something new.
In relation to diversity, the early years practitioner can attend to the diverse needs of each child and
their individual requirements in many different ways.
The practitioner could address this by building up a positive relationship (EYFS 2007) with parents.
The DFES 2.2 states that respecting diversity is imperative and that all families are important and
should be welcomed and valued within the

With a snap of the reins and a click of his tongue, Silas Brady coaxed his horse into a faster pace,
causing the tiny yellow house on wheels to lurch and rumble behind him. His instincts detected
potential business as his professional eye admired the quaint scene at the bottom of the hill: a
clapboard house and barn, a small corral, and a large plot of land ready for planting. From his
position, the bright green canopy of an oak peeked above the roofline of the house. Aside from a
single grazing cow, the homestead was quiet and still. A tall, fair haired man of middling years
approached from behind the house to wait at the bottom of the porch steps though the lack of a
customary greeting was glaringly obvious. As a precaution, Silas stopped his wagon a short distance
while he set the brake and adopted a friendly mien knowing that an aggressive manner was
counterproductive for business. Good day to you! The name s Silas Brady, photographer by trade, he

18. Nature And Culture, Humans And Non-Human Dualism
Nature and culture and humans and non human dualism are first and foremost produced by the
modern knowledge production and particularly echoed by the humanistic perspective where greater
focus and attention is given to the humans over other beings. This intentional and unintentional act of
duality created, I argue, has become immaterial with the appearance of the posthumanistic perspective.
First and foremost, with the current development in the field of biotechnology, the increased
dependence on machines for various purposes, the multiplication of hybrid substances for diverse
purposes, coupled with many more happenings in the contemporary times suggest that our life is
interwoven with all manner of non humans and it will be impossible to uniquely separate humans
from non humans (Anderson, 2013). The two entities are inseparable and based on this premise of
inseparability between the humans and non humans, nature and culture, it suffices to say that, though
some of the arguments raised by the humanistic perspective are valid, the overarching supremacy
accorded to humans and its consciousness over other non humans are far fetched and immaterial. As
aptly put by Jones, and somewhat understandably, humans tend to think of themselves and their
societies as rather different to nature, and rather special (2009, p.7) in the face of complement roles
performed by both.
Secondly, the human and non human and nature culture dualism has become immaterial because as

19. Urban Condition Research Paper
Urbanism demonstrates the cultural and material aspects of urban and city living. An urban condition
is basically a city plan. The space and community play a valuable role in the creative process of
designing an urban condition. Designing the spaces between the buildings is just as important and
designing the building itself. In the following essay, I will discuss the main critical elements necessary
to design a spatially rich urban condition.
To begin, public space assists in the creation of a memorable urban condition. Public space is what
makes any city different from any other. You may either have a very dense or spacious city . However,
the matter how you position your public space will change the perspective of others. A public space
can be the main entrance into the city or it can also, be in the center of a city. The public space is
defined by its surroundings, depending on the facade of the building and the shape of it. A public
space is supposed to represent the main space in an urban condition. A public space can transition
from a street to a void, it all depends on the shape of your urban city. A public space should be the
final step in the design process of creating a building. For the reason that, a public ... Show more

represent a transition that allows you to go through the edge of the city. The edge of the city should
define a difference between what is outside and what is inside the city. If the edge of the city is a
skyline your threshold would most likely be represented by a bridge over water or an underwater
bridge. An example of this is going from New Jersey to New York, since the river is in between, the
only way to get there is through bridges. In picture 4 you can see how the edge of the city is defined
by the buildings and how the entrance to the city is only through a

20. Yardbird Analysis
Yardbird, a short story that was released in 2012 directed by Micheal Spiccia which is his only public
work. This short film is a very interesting piece that has small parts of horror entwined into a
supernatural/fantasy theme that is set in what can be perceived as reality. There are many different
themes that can be found within this short, like with power comes responsibility, but the one I find
most interesting is You can t fix everything . You can t fix everything was first said by her fatherly
figure when Ruby is going to bed while look at what seems to be an old photo of some kind, you can
speculate that it was something to do with her mother or maybe even some old relatives however there
is no hard evidence of what the photo contains, all we can believe is that it has to do with her directly.
The reason we know that it has to do with her directly is because she is a young girl who is living
alone with her fatherly figure gets told by her fatherly figure that you can t fix everything , and he says
this with a sour tone, as if he is affected and he is just trying to console himself. Going on the idea that
the photo was an old photo of Ruby and her family which was broken for any reason, the line you can
t fix everything fits perfectly because of what the dialogue and the prop could be conveying which is
that nobody has the power to fix everything. In this scene, the director is further developing the idea
of, when some things break they can never be fixed In

Cisco Layer 2 Resiliency Compared to HP s IRF
In order to provide speed and reliability, large and enterprise level networks today are typically
constructed in multiple layers. They are the access layer, also called the network edge layer, the
aggregation or distribution layer; and the network core layer. The access layer is usually a mesh of
network switches, linked to other switches in the aggregation layer, which in turn is linked to the core.
This mesh type application of switches provides multiple paths for network traffic to flow. What this
means is that if one link in the traffic flow or a switch goes down, traffic can continue to flow using an
alternate path. This type of mesh ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In contrast, Cisco Layer 2 Resiliency advantages are claimed to offer rapid failover without service
disruption. The layer 2 is designed to streamline change management and service turn up without
WAN disruption with fewer errors. It offers a high availability through real time recovery and
resiliency at the network, device and design levels. Cisco Layer 2 Resiliency offers increased system
redundancy at the platform level, network security through access layer defense, identity based trust,
pervasive security and management as well as providing device posture assessments. Operational
efficiency is achieved through automated configuration, proactive diagnostics and simplified
troubleshooting. This is designed to provide predictable application performance to support converged
applications as well as support IP multicast for new applications. As with HP s IRF Resiliency, there
are several disadvantages associated with Cisco Layer 2 Resiliency. The router supports REP only
when the router is running the metro IP access or the metro access image. You have to configure each
segment port or an incorrect configuration will cause forwarding loops in networks. REP can only
manage one failed port within a segment. Multiple port failures within the REP segment cause high
loss of network connectivity.
Due to its simplistic manageability and scalability I would recommend HP s IRF Resiliency over

25. Advantages Of Securitisation In Nigeria
This paper seeks to discuss securitisation as a viable, and an alternative way of raising additional
capital for business organisations. Business organisations and other corporate entities require
substantial capital to grow and expand their ventures. When the financial resources of a business entity
are stretched to the limit, equity capital is scarce and therefore expansion is stalled. Therefore, in order
to improve their financial liquidity, the shareholders may not be ready to relinquish their holdings by
issuing stocks to the public. Hence, they have resorted to innovative ways of raising additional capital
with minimal cost. Securitisation has been found to be a convenient way of raising funds by
transforming unmarketable assets/receivables into tradable securities through the instrumentality of
Special Purpose Vehicles (SPVs). For this reason, the securitisation market has continued to grow.
Securitisation has witnessed exponential growth from a non existent industry in 1970 to $6.6 trillion

Sir Laurence Olivier s Richard III versus Ian McKellan s Richard III
INTRODUCTION
It seems that modern Hollywood filmmakers are as much in love with Shakespeare s plays as were the
16th century audiences who first enjoyed them. Recent updates of Hamlet (1996) and Romeo and
Juliet (1996), both highly successful movies, bear this out, as well as the two best film versions of
Richard III; Sir Laurence Olivier s 1954 period piece , and Ian McKellan s more modern interpretation
(1995).
In McKellan s Richard III, we see Britain in the late 1930s, at the end of a savage civil war between
the House of York and the House of Lancaster. This version works for a number of reasons: 1) it is
made for a modern audience; 2) the social and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It is done in the modern style, with lots of action and movement, primarily using existing buildings as
sets, instead of rebuilding them on soundstages. Every scene is alive with movement and detail, a
quality that is sadly lacking in Olivier s version. The setting is Britain, but a Britain very much of the
late 1930s. This much can be seen at once. Richard s opening soliloquy is broken in half; the first half
is spoken into a microphone before a crowd of merry makers at King Edward IV s victory celebration.
However, just as Richard reaches Grim visag d war has smoothed his wrinkled brow , and the
soliloquy becomes more a description of Richard s plans, we cut away to Richard, alone, in the men s
room taking a piss. As Richard relieves himself, he continues his soliloquy. Clearly, the movie is not
above using anything including Richard s bathroom habits to move the story along. A perfect fit for
today s audiences.
2. Background
When Olivier made Richard III, he had to work within the bounds of the 1950s, which makes it
difficult for modern audiences (myself included, I m ashamed to say) to stick with the movie until the
end. The things that get audiences going nowadays are basically sex and violence (hopefully with a
decent story keeping them together). Olivier s version has very little of the former, and I think that he
wouldn t have put them in even if he could. I have seen several of his movies, and he

A counter argument is crucial to support your argument advocating for the removal the zero emission

recommendation to the government advising the incorporation of a carbon tax on gasoline purchases
can use a stronger argument, because the oil companies have control of the gas supply and demand.
Therefore, to launch the carbon tax on gas purchases, the government must defeat lobbyists from the
oil companies. Think of ways the government can make this

35. How Do Fuel Cells Work
How fuel cells work A fuel cell is a device that produces an electrical current through a chemical
reaction. All fuel cells contain a cathode and an anode, which are positive and negative electrodes,
respectively. The chemical reactions which produce electricity occur at the electrodes. Fuel cells also
contain an electrolyte, which carries electrically charged particles between the electrodes. A catalyst
also aids to speed up the chemical reaction at the electrodes. In fuel cells, an impurity must serve as
the electrolyte; if one uses distilled water for this experiment, it could serve only as the control,
because purified water does not contain any substances that react at the electrodes. Some examples of
impurities used as electrolytes in various types of fuel cells include ... Show more content on

It consists of using hydrogen and hydroxyl ions to create electricity and end up with potable water.
This method very useful aboard spacecrafts allowing them to stay in space for a longer amount of time
because they can create their own water. The next most common type is molten carbonate the
electrolyte in this is carbonate salts. However this type of fuel cell tends to be slightly less efficient
due to the fact that they have to be melted before they can be used. Having a liquid electrolyte can be
difficult to handle and time consuming. It is however useful seeing as it refreshes the electrolyte
through every cycle.
The last form of fuel cells available is PEM (or Proton Exchange Membrane). The electrolyte for this
is a very thin polymer sheet. Unfortunately, this type can be extremely expensive because it is required
to have a platinum catalyst. A temperature of eighty degrees celsius must also be reached. This fuel
cell still resembles the basic form. It requires hydrogen atoms which have been striped from their
electrons, and the electrons pass through the exterior circuit, which creates electricity. At the end, it

36. Argumentative Essay On Dog Fighting
Over the years many agree that dogs are one of the most loyal companions that people can get their
hands upon. They are willing do almost anything for their masters, hunt, cuddle, and even fight other
dogs. According to Orhan Yilmaz, dog fighting has been going on for centuries as a past time. When a
dog enters a fight, there is almost always one dog getting injured, sometimes it is so bad that the
owner of the dog carries it away in a bag to disguise it, just so the police do not see the injured
creature. Having dog fights in an area repeatedly will end up attracting more crime even which causes
only more trouble. A dog trained for fighting ends up becoming somewhat savage and likely to bite

states, it needs to be tracked more and make the culprits get locked in a cell for what they have done
because it harms the dogs that are fighting, it ends up bringing more crime to the area where this takes
place, and also makes it dangerous for veterinarians to work on a dog that is now potentially a hazard.
Oliver 1 Dog fighting always ends up harming dogs quite severely, leaving permeant marks such as
bite or claw marks which make the dog look tainted in the eyes of some, rather an animal that s being
used against its will. Dogs for fighting may be born, bought, or even stolen for the sole use of fighting
another dog. Though different breeds are used in dog fighting, the most common breed associated is
the American Pit Bull Terrier. (Destreza 281) The dogs used for fighting get very little compassion in
their lives, living alone with only one thing being taught to them, to fight all other animals that they

disposing of the animal. When a dog is not successful in a fight,

Though the gospels of Mark, Matthew, and Luke are written differently based on time periods,
education, and narratives they contain many similar structures for the parables within. Written first
about forty years after the death of Christ, the Gospel of Mark was the only definite source for the
other two gospels. The Gospel of Mark is the shortest of the three at only sixteen chapters and is
narrated by the suffering and sacrificial death of Jesus Christ. This apparent distinction between
gospel lengths led scholars to discover that Mark had not been the only source for the three other
gospels. Mark did not begin writing regarding the birth of Jesus Christ, but instead began when Jesus
was baptized at around thirty years old. However, both ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
That is without saying the other three are not completely identical to Mark s. They have different
understandings of certain words and phrases due to the advancement in language and education.
Differences also arise from the particular grasps of the text made from other accounts. Because
Matthew came after Mark there is some truth to his dependency on Mark. Both include the emphasis
on the small size of the mustard seed and the greatness of the shrub and the idea that the birds who
will nest in its branches will come from the air. Matthew and Luke both incorporate the idea that the
seed grows into a tree. Mark however, does not include the idea of the shrub becoming a big grand
tree. Luke never mentions the seed ever being a shrub. This indicates that Matthew and Luke share a
common source that is not Mark but (Q). If Mark never mentioned anything about a tree there had to
have been a second source for this piece of information found in both Matthew and Luke. Luke
disregards both Mark s and Matthew s shrub idea and this idea of the tree signifies that both Luke and
Matthew had a different source. If Mark was the only source the parables would be much more
identical leading to the discovery of a new

It is also believed by breeders that a dog passes certain champion qualities down to their offspring by
way of lineage.
Inbreeding in the dog s lineage is one key point of the Pedigree that no one really talks about to the
non showing potential owners; it is indicated by one dog being used to sire multiple lines of the family
tree. The AKC does not discourage this and often it is difficult to recognize for a non showing owner.
Many show breeders will not allow their puppies to be purchased by non show homes in an attempt to
preserve their lines. According to A genetic assessment of the English bulldog , written by N.
Pedersen, A. Pooch, and H. Liu, there is very little knowledge about the actual genetic status of the
breed and whether enough genetic and phenotypic diversity still exists to significantly improve health
without further reducing existing genetic diversity or relying on outcrossing (4) (breed two dogs from
different lineage to add fresh blood to the family tree). However, many show breeders believe that
they must utilize a sire across more than one line within their pedigree to preserve the specific traits of
the breed that make their bloodlines of champion quality. One could argue that in doing so, they are
reintroducing certain predispositions back into their own bloodlines two fold; reinforcing what may be
a defect of sorts in their own lines.
I had to learn very quickly what predisposition meant in regards to breeding. Many English Bulldog

Which means there has to be at least 1 Billion family traditions. Family traditions can be many
different things but my family traditions all can relate back to dysfunctionalism. There are more
dysfunctional families in the united states than normal families. More than 50% of happiness comes
from dysfunctional families and still, the celebrate Birthdays, Religious Holidays and Casual Holidays
. Can you imagine Holidays being the root of our happiness. What is a dysfunctional family? A
dysfunctional family is where the relationship between the parent and child are strained and unnatural
(Artical 1). Dysfunctional families can range from many different things such as failing to be a
provider for their child or lack of emotional, phychological and/or physical needs. There are also
different types of dysfunctional families. Dysfunctional families can be because of addiction, alcohol,
no emotional support, religious fundamentalism and rigidly dogmatic beliefs, overly possessive
parents and sexaul abuse.
First on the list is Birthday. Every year this day is celebrated with cake and gifts. Sure, this seems
casual but something makes it different. Once the kid reaches 18 whom ever brough them cakes, the

42. Argumentative Essay On Foster Children
Abstract
In the United States there are 428,000 children in foster care. There is a plethora of reasons why
children are placed into the foster care system. Reasons could be neglect, abuse, abandonment and or
death. In order for a child to be placed into a foster home; a foster care parent must obey to the
regulations. The purpose of my research paper is I would like to answer the question should the foster
care system regulations be revised. The topic is very imperative to me because I believe that children
of the foster care system have a voice and the regulations in today s time need to be renewed so they
can have a voice. I conducted my research on this by reading Michigan regulations for foster care and
articles about foster children. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Although the foster care rate has drastically increased, the outdated stipulations are still intact. The
foster care parent must have a license to foster a child. Once a child has reached the age of 17 the
foster care is no longer obligated to take care of the child. The reasons behind why each child is placed
into foster care can vary from being neglected or abused in a previous home, to being labeled as a
juvenile delinquent for committing several legal offenses. Foster Care has expanded over the years.
Many organizations have voiced their support for reformation of foster care. Many organizations
include United States Children Bureau, Children s Aid Society and Child Welfare League of America.
The vision is to make foster care a widely known organization. In the future, there will be more stable
homes so that children do not need foster care . More citizens will have the courage and determination
to adopt a child. The Foster Care System won t have as many cases. Parents will take care of their
children properly and less children will get in trouble so they don t have to go into the foster care
system. The System regulations are more flexible. The system cares for everyone

with this new jealousy in him and it pushes him to commit terrible acts that he otherwise would not
commit. This strong feeling of passion causes Othello to be unable to gauge what is important and
what is not.
Shakespeare first presents Othello as a loyal, reasonable man very much in love with his wife. It is this
view of his character that makes his jealousy all the more stronger. Othello is new to the monster that
