Here are my reflections on the process of goal-setting and action planning for myself:
I found it quite easy to identify an overall goal but more challenging to break it down into meaningful, measurable smaller steps. Going through the exercise helped me realize I needed to define success criteria more clearly at each level. Facilitating this for others would involve asking probing questions to ensure goals and steps are Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant and Time-bound. It's also important to check assumptions and offer alternative perspectives or strategies to consider. The key is enabling individuals to own the process while providing structure and guidance.
