This document provides guidance on establishing marketing metrics and analytics. It discusses the importance of measurement in building marketing credibility and accountability. Some key points:
1) Marketing needs to use metrics that matter to executives like revenue, profits, and growth, not just soft metrics. This helps marketing communicate value in terms the business understands.
2) Marketing should know the impact of each investment and forecast future results to change perceptions from a cost center to revenue driver.
3) Planning for ROI from the start helps marketing improve performance by establishing goals, designing measurable programs, and making decisions that enhance results.
4) Various techniques are presented for measuring program impact and attributing revenue, from simple attribution to complex market mix modeling
The document outlines digital and luxury marketing strategies for Pray watches. It discusses focusing on mobile strategies as most interactions now occur on mobile devices. It emphasizes understanding the customer purchase journey across channels to better target affluent customers. The document also stresses the importance of an omnichannel approach to connect online and in-store experiences. Location-based technologies and apps can help close the gap between digital and physical stores. Luxury brands must create engaging content and experiences across all platforms to connect with new customers.
The document proposes creating an Employee Relations Division (ERD) to address millennial employees' desires for growth, transparency, and appreciation. The ERD would develop growth opportunities and promote communication between managers and employees. It would also organize employee recognition events like an employee of the month chosen by peers, with the goal of fostering employee growth, appreciation, and retention. Implementing the ERD could save companies time and money while attracting millennial talent and rewarding employees.
Dereen is a detail-oriented, results-driven person who prefers to focus on operational efficiencies. She will strongly express behaviors like following through to ensure tasks are completed accurately, working at a fast pace according to schedules, and making and following detailed plans. Dereen is more technically than socially oriented and expects high standards of quality in her work and those working under her. She communicates directly and factually, and prefers to make decisions within her expertise where she can control risks. To maximize her effectiveness, Dereen should be given encouragement to pursue her own ideas, freedom from quick decisions outside her expertise, limited oversight, and opportunities to find creative solutions independently.
PROJECT ON PR IN HOSPITAL AND HOSPITALITY SECTORKunal Chatterjee
Public relations has evolved from business and industry to be applied in various sectors including government, non-profits, and healthcare. The document discusses the history and development of public relations in India from ancient times using edicts and reporters, to the modern era with the establishment of agencies and PR becoming a recognized profession. It provides context on the objectives, need, and scope of public relations, highlighting its role in building understanding and goodwill between organizations and their various publics or stakeholders. Finally, it discusses the importance of including public relations as its own department in the hospitality sector given its cross-functional nature and need to work independently with all departments.

1) The study tested how expert users interact with animated versus non-animated maps to understand the narrative of floods impacting a railway network.
2) The results found no significant difference in efficiency between map types, but animated maps influenced user confidence and hesitation. Information retrieval tasks were easier than analyzing causality.
3) Two questions had ambiguous wording, influencing the results. Additionally, question complexity likely had a greater impact than map type.
4) Future work could involve controlling task types by using standardized sets from other domains to improve reproducibility and comparison across studies.
The ICA Commission on Use, Users, and Usability Issues was established in 2005 to exchange knowledge on map use, users, and usability. The Commission maintains an online bibliography, organizes workshops and conference sessions, and supports young researchers. Its goals are to share information, facilitate discussion, and advance scientific research in this area through 2015-2019.
