7. REASON FOR HYPOCRISY
Abdullah ibn Ubay was a leader in Madina with a big
status. However, when Rasulallah migrated to Madina,
Abdullah lost his power and status. He only became a
Muslim to get back his status. Inside his heart he did not
believe in Islam and worked very hard throughout his life
in order to embarrass Rasulallah, and to prevent the
development of Islam. He always worked to create
mischief and to put Muslims against one another.

some of the munafiqun started off by sincerely
believing in Rasulullah (s). However, when they
talked to unbelievers, they would change their
minds.
Since they could not openly show their disbelief,
they pretended to be Muslims.

DO GOOD DEEDS IN PRIVATE,
WITHOUT ANYONE KNOWING
DO MUHASABAH- EVERYDAY, CHECK YOUR
DAILY ACTIONS.
A person cannot be cured of hypocrisy until he
does not purify his deeds by performing them
with sincerity. There are certain acts, like giving to
charity, which should be done secretly.
