An Evaluation Of An Investment Management Process
The Weebly website defines investment as a commitment of funds made in the expectations of some
positive rate of return otherwise emphasizing that expectation of returns in an essential element of an
investment (imsmo.weebly.com). Basically, any business investment strategy comprises of a number
of facets with some additional assistance from professional fund managers, settlement, dealing and the
preparation of reports for clients (imsmo.weebly.com). Investment strategies are broadly divided into
two main categories: real investments and financial investments. Levisaukaite (2010) categorizes real
investments as investments that generally involve some kind of tangible assets such as machinery or
land. On the other hand, financial investments often involve contracts stipulated in paper or presented
in some electronic form such as stocks or bonds. Any investment strategy demands the formulation of
an investment management process. An investment management process stipulates how an investor
should go about in making his/her decisions. The process involves a five step procedure in which the
stages include: Setting an investment policy An analysis and evaluation of investment vehicles The
formation of a diversified investment portfolio Portfolio revision The measurement and evaluation of
portfolio performance. Herein, the paper offers a practical example of an investment process or
activity. Using the above investment procedures, the paper rigorously shows how investors

History And Political Leaders During World War II
Before World War II began, Hitler had already began to spread his ideology of cleansing the German
state of Jews and other peoples deemed unwanted by the Nazis. After World War I, nearly two million
German men had been killed and political leaders and doctors were concerned about the falling birth
rate of the population (Finley Croswhite, 2014, slide 6; In this paper I am using APA style). Scientists
and political leaders were concerned about the economic state of Germany and believed that
biological interference, or racial hygiene, was the answer to their country s worsening population
issue. The study of eugenics had begun in the late 19th century (Finley Croswhite, 2014, slide 3). By
the 1930s eugenicists encouraged woman they considered to be genetically healthy to produce
children while they discouraged women they considered racially inferior from having children.
Eventually, laws were enforced that led to the mass sterilization of all racially inferior people. (Finley
Croswhite, 2014, slide 4). A primary goal of Hitler s regime was to cleanse Germany of unfit, diseased
peoples and build a population of strong, healthy Aryans. In order to accomplish this goal, Hitler had
to focus a large portion of his efforts on Germans, and soon after, primarily Jewish men and women.
The purpose of this paper is to explore the treatment of Jewish women by the Nazis during the
Holocaust with regard to sterilization, pregnancy, and sexual abuse, and to identify the unethical

We have learned from the past and have great leaders, black and white.
The civil war was a major event in the history of Mississippi. The president during this time was
Jefferson Davis during the years of 1861 1865. Mississippi was the second state to secede from the
union. The view of the state was that it was necessity for the state to have slavery. So the white
soldiers fought for the stand of keeping the slaves. Since they believed that the white citizens needed
the slaves. Many of the battles were along the line of the Mississippi river. There were more than
about 17,000 black men (Mississippi slaves) as well as freedmen that fought for the Union. There
were 500 white men that fought for the Union as well. Many soldiers were upset when they realized
that the war would be lost. In present time, it seemed that slavery was such a long time ago and long
lost. What the people of Mississippi don t realize the actual affect that it had. The men that were lost
during the time period had wives and children that they left behind to start a new generation of what
the fathers fought for. Too look at the past to the present time, Mississippi has come a long way with
the respect for one another as well as the agriculture and economy needs of the residents. They often
prefer to be called Mississippians, but they sure love were they came from and

The Influence of Paul the Apostle
Paul the Apostle is considered to be the most influential of the early members of the Christian church,
along with Simon Peter and James the Just. Saint Paul is said to have been born around AD 5, and
considered to have died about AD67, though the Bible does not record his death specifically. The
epistles written by Paul to the churches were plainly and sharply worded. Paul s writings make up a
good portion of the New Testament and demonstrate his position of prominence as an apostle of the
early Church. Saint Paul was a significant contributor to the spreading of the Gospel through the early
Christian communities, particularly through his Epistles, that were established across the Roman
Empire. Paul s letters make up some of the earliest of Christian documents and, as such, they are a
window into early Christianity, with all of its controversies and unpolished beliefs. The authoritative
rule of the New Testament is considered to derive from Saint Paul s works Before his conversion, Paul
used the name Saul and he was engaged in the persecution of Jesus early disciples in the area around
Jerusalem. In the book of Acts, the narrative tells about Saul traveling from Jerusalem to Damascus
when he encountered the resurrected Jesus in a great light that blinded him for three days, until
Ananias of Damascus restored his sight. Following that powerful experience, Paul began his preaching
about Jesus of Nazareth as the Son of God and the Jewish Messiah. Saint Paul s influence

way Leigh Ann and her family live, as rich, successful and involved people for as Leigh Ann is

What is Corporate Strategy?
Corporate Strategy has been defined by numerous authors. Grant (1995) claims corporate strategy
deals with the way a corporation manages a number of different businesses. Lynch, R, in both his third
and fourth edition books on corporate strategy refers to Penrose (1959) definition of corporate strategy
as the pattern of major objectives, purposes or goals and essential polices or plans for achieving those
goals, stated in such a way as to define what business the company is in or to be in and the kind of

The United Arab Emirates is one of the most important tourist destinations in the region. The Arab
spring had a very minor effect on the country s tourism as it did not have a revolution but tourists in
countries such as the Americas and Eastern Asia and some European countries were still slightly
worried to visit any Arab country as it could be hit by the domino effect of the Arab Spring. UAE is
not a neighboring country of any of the countries that had revolutions but it is in the same region.
Tourism in Egypt
Egypt is known to be the number one tourist destination in the Middle East and North Africa. It has
been for years and obviously this is because of its ancient Pharos history, and pyramids in Giza and
other historical sites and Luxor and all over the country has attracted tourists from around the world
and for many years to visit these attractions that were built around 7000 years ago. Egypt s tourism
now is not just about cultural about heritage but it also has sun, sea and sand tourism on its beautiful

Leon Trotsky s Influence In Russian History
Describe the major influences that led to the rise to prominence of your chosen personality in his/her
nation s history. (8 marks)
Leon Trotsky s major influences have been a significant factor in the attribution of his rise to
prominence in Russian history. Born on the 26th of October in Ukraine to a wealthy Jewish family,
Trotsky became a political ideologist and a practical revolutionary. Trotsky s early life experiences
and his exposure to his academia had a vital role in the development of his political ideals. In 1895,
Leon Trotsky moved schools from Odesa to Nikolayev to prepare for university. It was during this
time that Trotsky was first introduced to revolutionary ideas of Karl Marx and came to embrace the
Narodniki movement which sought to spread revolutionary socialism amongst Russia s peasantry.
This was highly critical in leading to the rise of his prominence as it motivated Trotsky s career as a
true revolutionary. Furthermore, Trotsky s emerging political role, in the ... Show more content on

amongst the Bolshevik leadership and Trotsky resigned his position. In April 1918 Trotsky was also
appointed Commissar for War as the Bolshevik government was preparing to consolidate its rule in
the face of allied military intervention and Russian counter revolutionary. His role was of great
prominence in Russian history as according to Historian John Lawrence, without Trotsky, Lenin

How Did Marilyn Monroe Impact The World
Could you imagine being one of the youngest fashion icons of your generation, willing to stand out so
much that you had a dress sewn to you? Well Marilyn Monroe did (Life. Time Inc). Marilyn Monroe
brought many great ideas of beauty to the 1960 s era. Marilyn Monroe was also a major fashion icon.
An everlasting impact was made in the 1960 s through Marilyn Monroe s life, iconic style and beauty
and she continues to be recognized for it even today.
Marilyn Monroe s story is different than other well known celebrities. She didn t have a perfect
childhood growing up which is one of the many things that helped her grow and become who she was.
Marilyn Monroe had a very unique family situation. Growing up, Marilyn lived with only her mother,
Gladys Baker, for a short time ( About Marilyn Monroe ). Edward Mortenson, the father of Marilyn

she would usually go with peep toe sandals or heels to show off her pedicure (Dove, Laurie L). Most
people think of red swarovski crystal stiletto pumps when they think of Marilyn Monroe s signature

Marilyn believed in accessorizing her outfits as much as possible and she did as much as she could.
She loved diamonds and jewelry and would wear them with almost everything, even swimsuits (Dove,

Acute Pain Case Study
Acute pain · Extreme pain is due to the hypoxic environment that results from the occlusion of
capillary beds within tissues by sickled RBCs. This sickling is due to the polymerization of HbS in
low oxygen environments occluding tissues and causing local hypoxic environments. Inflammation is
indicated as the trigger for this process in many cases. Experimental studies in transgenic HbS
homozygote mice using hypoxia and inflammatory drugs showed occlusion of the postcapillary
venules due to increased interactions between leukocytes, RBCs, and the vascular endothelium. In
addition, precapillary obstruction is observed in sickled RBCs with especially high [HbS] and
increased interactions between the vascular endothelium and RBCs. The tissue damage that results
from the hypoxic environment leads to an increase in inflammation in the area once the tissue is
repurfused with ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Nitric oxide acts as a vasodilator and regulator of the adhesion of leukocytes and platelets to the
endothelium. Its inhibition leads to the accumulation of inflammatory cells and further oxidative
damage to the tissue and endothelium. Additionally, the anemia due to hemolysis of sickled RBCs can
lead to mental deficiencies in addition to mental deficiencies due to silent infarcts. Those suffering
from silent infarcts are also more likely to suffer a major stroke later on. Acute chest syndrome ·
Infection, occlusion of bone marrow vasculature leading to formation of a fat embolus, and
agglutination of sickled RBCs in the pulmonary vasculature leading to occlusion of the pulmonary

The Early Stages Of Embryo Development
Mark Jones
Writing Assignment
3/5/2017
During the early stages of embryo development, a multitude of signals are being released, some of
which specify a cell, such as the neural plate, somites, and notochord, to a dorsal fate. In earlier
experiments done by Spemann and Mangold in 1924 that if the dorsal lip of the of the early gastrula
was transplanted to a more ventral position in the embryo, the embryo would develop a new secondary
axis. The study showed that the organizer respecified the original tissue to develop neural tissue
instead. This suggested that the dorsal lip played a key role in signaling to determine cell fates in early
embryos. Several of the signals observed in the organizer were BMP antagonists. However, in

Sox2, which is a marker for the neural plate, was observed in each of the knockdowns that were
performed. In each case, there was little to no effect on the Sox2 marker and most the neural plate
developed. This indicated that there was some overlap in the BMP antagonists or that other signals
were responsible for the neural plate development (Khokha et al., 2005). The two results from the
single and double knockdown experiments were tested by a morpholino that targeted three
antagonists, follistatin, chordin, and noggin. A β catenin morpholino was also injected into the embryo
to test whether another signaling pathway was responsible for the development of the neural plate
(Heasman et al., 2000). Both these experiments resulted in the absence of the neural plate. Another
observation that was made was that the dorsal mesoderm was also absent when β catenin and the FCN
morphant was injected into the embryo (Khokha et al., 2005). This suggested that BMP antagonist is
not only needed for neural plate development, but it is also needed for the dorsal mesoderm to
develop. To show that the absence of the neural plate and dorsal mesoderm was a result of the BMP
morphant and not some other reason, two rescue experiments were performed. Puffer fish noggin
mRNA was injected into the FCN morphant, which resulted in the reappearance of the neural plate
and the dorsal mesoderm. Another possible explanation for the absence of the two tissues could have
been the toxicity of the

Biography of William Wordsworth
Throughout history, there have numerous poets who have had grand influences on the future of
literature. Many poets have different writing styles and themes, but nevertheless, they often share
various similarities within their work. Wordsworth, Tennyson, and Keats can be seen as some of the
most comparable people in both their personal lives and literary works. There are three specific
poems, one from each poet that can be related to one another. There is: Wordsworth s Lines Composed
a Few Miles Above Tintern Abbey , Keats s Ode on a Grecian Urn and Tennyson s In Memoriam,
A.H.H. Wordsworth, Keats, and Tennyson never rationalize, argue, or preach; they carefully craft
every word to maximize a reader s understanding of the experience by absorbing the reader into the
poem itself. Each poem has various philosophical truths that the reader has to ultimately discover on
his or her own and learn about immortality and the effects of it upon human perception. Even though
these poets differ in their messages, their styles and themes of writings can be linked together.
William Wordsworth was born in 1770 and was a Romantic poet that helped launch the era of
Romanticism in English literature. Wordsworth s mother died when he was a young child and this
experience had a significant amount of influence in his later literary works. Wordsworth studied at St.
John s College in Cambridge, but before he graduated, he went to tour Europe, which in turn shaped
and influenced his writings

Trail Builder Personal Statement
After obtaining a degree in Human Dimensions of Natural Resources, I plan on working as a trail
builder for the United States Forest Service (USFS) or a state parks department. Once I have gained
sufficient experience in the field, I plan on moving on from my job as a trail builder to start my own

Throughout childhood and adolescence, I was lucky enough to spend much of my free time using trail
systems that were close to my neighborhood. These experiences shaped my environmental ethic and
formed a bond between my natural surroundings and myself. At times of turmoil I always knew that I
could set out on a trail and find peace in the solitude of the trail. Using trail systems also sparked my

thereby reducing silt pollution of stream and rivers. I believe that education is the key to overcoming
the major problems facing our species such as hunger, overpopulation, and gender and racial equality,
but I have come to terms with the fact that my skill set is not best suited for teaching. However, I am

Criticism Of Praise Praise
Praise is an action that parents, teachers, and adults overly use when they desire an action from
students and children. Most of the time, adults say phrases such as Good Job or Fantastic to boost the
moral of students or children. But praise doesn t always lead to positive growth of an individual in the
long run. There is, however, a stronger alternative to praise that many 21st century Western societies
haven t quite accepted. This is known as criticism. We see criticism everywhere in our daily lives;
from the workplace, to sporting events and competitions, and even in schools across America. It s a lot
stronger than praise because it provides students with a basis of comparison, and truth and honesty.
Therefore, criticism has a better long term effect on feedback and growth and should be balanced with
praise because it allows students to learn from previous mistakes or issues, forcing them to make a
positive change about themselves that could potentially help in the future. There are many problems
that appear with the use of general praise on its own. For one, praise feeds into the ego of a student,
forcing them into a lazy mindset from the overflow of approval. Carol Dweck, a theorist of human
motivation, believes that praising traits feed the belief that talent is fixed, which makes kids less
willing to take on new challenges that might expose them as less naturally able (Kamenetz). With
praise, the child will be less determined to take risks and complete

is incorporated in the standards, guidelines and policies of organizations, is often not implemented nor
highlighted in practice. Certainly in respect to my currently college and I feel this acts as a restraint on
my progression and my ability to be professional .
The importance of this subject I feel goes beyond what a teacher may know, but if they lack a clear
understanding of professionalism they are missing a broad area of the profession.
As teaching is such a demanding profession, careful consideration needs to be given to how effort is
distributed so that every student gets equal attention. As a professional it is important that consistency
is maintained. When teaching students they will need to know what the learning objectives are so I
clearly explained at the beginning of the lesson and recapped at the end. These are some of the

Epic Of Gilgamesh Essay
The Epic of Gilgamesh The Epic of Gilgamesh is an ancient artifact from Sumerian literature. There
actually was a King in Sumer by the name of Gilgamesh, who lived at about 2700 BC. The Epic casts
Gilgamesh as a ruler and great hero and cast as being part man and part god. The story has Gilgamesh
set off with a companion in search of cedar wood to bring back to their woodless land. His companion
is killed during a violent storm. The Sumerian Epic blames the death upon the storm god, Enlil.
Gilgamesh then searches for the plant that restores youth, a recurring theme throughout centuries of

each society viewed their gods, their roles in the world and their afterlife. The mes viewed their lives

A Research On Pedestrian Detection
The four papers about pedestrian detection we chose to summarize were great and informative, all
suggested useful techniques and new ideas in deep learning for pedestrian detection. However, there
were few open issues or room for improvement in some of the papers. Here are some of the ideas we
suggested to resolve these issues in each paper.
Joint Deep Learning for Pedestrian Detection (UDN)
Even though the Unified Deep Net (UDN) method learned features by designing hidden layers for the
Convolutional Neural Network such that features, deformable parts, occlusions, and classification can
be jointly optimized, one of its problems is it treats pedestrian detection as a single binary
classification task, which is not able to capture rich pedestrian variations. For example, the method is
not able to distinguish pedestrians from hard negatives due to their visual similarities. This problem
can be resolved by jointly optimizing pedestrian detection with auxiliary semantic tasks, such as
including pedestrian attributes and scene attributes, which was represented in our previous report.
Another problem with the UDN method is it did not explicitly model mixture of templates for each
body parts, and did not depress the influence of background clutters. Thus, the method could be
improved by explicitly model the complex mixture of visual appearance at multiple levels. For

2.3 Monitor and report potential health and safety risks.
As a shift leader I monitor and report any health and safety risks whilst at work. For example I
monitor when in their flats i.e. when moving around, preparing food, to ensure their safety. I also
report to the house manager or manager any type of potential health and safety risks for example; I
recently brought to the manager s attention that a ceiling hoist support pole was out of alignment, and
that it would need rectifying before it could be used again.
2.4 Use risk assessment in relation to health and safety.
Risk assessments are used to identify potential harm to an individual or persons. This identifies the

Jane Austen s Novel And True Classic Sense And Sensibility
There are many authors whose works are considered to be classics; perhaps the most influential is
Jane Austen. Jane Austen wrote six novels, that in today s world, we call classics. Her first novel and
true classic Sense and Sensibility, was published in 1811 at a time when the world was just starting to
write full length novels. Though Jane Austen only lived to be forty one, she contributed much too
modern literature; such as being one of the first major authors to make use of the three volume novel,
and to use chapters within the volumes (Sweeton). One of the many reasons as to why Jane Austen s
novels are considered classics is due to the fact that she wrote about real social and financial issues of
the day; however, financial and social issues are timeless, therefore they are still relevant in today s
world. As one follows along with the Dashwood sisters in Sense and Sensibility, we see how the title
of the story is very fitting; by providing one sister with sense and the other with sensibility, the story
has two different dynamics that create a timeless classic.
Born in 1775, Jane Austen grew up in a time when the dynamics of the world were constantly
changing. Jane Austen was born in Steventon a village of Hampshire England, to a large family that
consisted of seven other children (Jane Austen). Having an interest in writing since a young age, one
of her first works of writing was a novella titled Lady Susan, a story written in epistle form (which

Sabotage Diet Tenacity
Stress May Sabotage Diet Tenacity
Overview
Stress can significantly influence whether you are going to make a healthy food decision or not, a new
study suggests. When you are in a stressful situation, you are more likely to snack on a cake instead of
a fruits. According to the new study, it was found out that even moderate amount of stress can weaken
your willpower to go for healthier options when selecting foods. With that said, you should try your
best to avoid making food decisions when stressed. This will prevent sabotaging your lifestyle fitness
goal of maintaining a healthy weight or losing extra pounds.
The New Study
The new study was conducted by researchers from Switzerland. Participants who had experienced
moderate stress were requested ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This was demonstrated through brain scan where researchers found that stressed men had decreased
activity in areas that help regulate the long term goal of eating healthy food in stressed participants.
According to Maier, stress increases brain signals that influence taste preferences, while decreasing
brain signals in charge of good health.
Study Suggestions
According to Maier, a single stressful day may not completely sabotage a person s lifestyle fitness
goal if the stress ends within the same day. The person can go back to eating a healthy and balanced
diet. However, the study suggests that even common moderate stressful events that occur frequently
can cause lapses in self control. If you rely on your willpower to wield your self control in order to
stick with restrictive diet, it will be difficult to go for healthy options when you become moderately
stressed, said Maier.

A separate peace essay
In a separate peace, by John Knowles, Gene Forrester is the protagonist. He is a 17 year old boy who
goes to devon boarding school, and is friends with Finny. Finny is a kind, athletic, and naive student
who s best friend is Gene. These two friends seem to love each other, but most of the time are hiding a
secret jealousy and hatred for one another. Gene said, my war ended ended before I even put on a
uniform; I was on active duty all my time at school; I killed my enemy there.(Pg. 110) In an essay
about a separate peace, the author said, in relation to the prior quote, One of the things the novelist
seems to be saying is that the enemy Gene killed, and loved, is the one every man must kill; his own
youth, the innocence that burns too hotly to be endured. The writer of this essay is referring to a
different enemy innocence then Gene, and although his example is plausible, it isn t the same as what
Gene was referring to. Gene was referring to his enemy that he pretends to be friends with, Finny. This
can be supported by Gene and Finny s love/hate relationship, The competitiveness that Gene and
Finny had between each other, and how Gene was part of the reason that Finny died at the end of the
novel. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

the war between Gene and Finny. The war that had been going on the whole time they were at Devon.

My Informative Clothing
My Informative Clothing Essay
Did you know the history of clothing and textiles traces back to the availability of textiles and other
materials? The development of technology for making clothing has evolved over the years. Based
upon the discoveries with clothing, there has been a lot of developments with the relationship in
clothing and its history.
The wearing of clothing is exclusively a human characteristic and a feature of human societies. It is
not known when humans began wearing clothes. Anthropologists believe that animal skins as well as
vegetation were adapted into coverings as their protection. As humans migrated to new climates, an
alternative hypothesis was that covering may have been first used for other purposes. Clothing and ...

Earliest examples of needles originate from the Soultrean culture, which existed in France from

Dolni Vestonice in the Czech Republic. 25,000 years ago the Venus figurines were depicted with
clothing. Western Europe was adorned with basket hats or caps, belts worn at the waist, and a strap of
cloth that wrapped around the body right above the breast. Eastern European figurines wore belts,

The first actual textile was probably felt. Examples of nail binding, another early textile method, date

modern technological developments. The Middle East and the arid fringes of China have provided
many early samples in good condition. The early development of textiles in the Indian subcontinent,

Summary Of Housekeeping And The Hobbit
The use of narrative can guide a reader in the direction that the author wishes, be it emotionally or
otherwise. However, this must be done correctly for an author must keep their intended audience
engaged enough to listen to not only the story, but the message that is implied throughout it. The
choice over first person and third person (as there is not many works that successfully use second
person narratives) is essential based on the type of narrative the author intends to tell. In addition, the
type of conflicts that arise in a novel or short story and how they are portrayed is equally important,
but more than that is if they served any kind of meaningful purpose. Although the stories of
Housekeeping and The Hobbit are written for different audiences as well as from different
perspectives, they have similarities one may not expect unless they aware how to closely read both the
novels.
The first person perspective gives one an in depth access to the thoughts of the narrator, be this the
author themself in some cases or an integral character. Ruth is the the narrator of Housekeeping ,
recounting her youth in Fingerbone and how her life there has affected the life she leads now. The use
of first person in this novel aids to the understanding of Ruth, where we might not be able to from the
outside due eccentric nature of the people she is surrounded with and becomes attached to. This
insight to the development to her character changes allows the audience to grow

Foreshadowing In Back To The Future
In the 1985 movie Back to the Future, Robert Zemeckis uses foreshadowing, symbolism, diegetic and
non diegetic sound, parallels, irony and morals, as explained through the textbook The Art of
Watching Films, to take the viewer on a journey through time. He reinforces the idea that every little
action counts. These concepts are intermixed with comedy as we witness the adventures of Marty
McFly (Michael J. Fox) and his best friend Doctor Emmet Brown (Christopher Lloyd) in 1985 and
1955. We meet Marty s parents (Crispin Glover, Lea Thompson) first as adults, then as teenagers, and
again as adults. Marty also grows to realize the consequences of his actions.
With a concept as difficult as time travel, without the overt use of captions, how can you convey that
you re in a different point in time? Zemeckis tackled this issue deftly through his use of dialogue,
props, and set design. In the opening period in 1985 he sets the tone of where you are and what
defines the present or normal so that when everything changes after Marty steps inside the DeLorean,
Zemeckis doesn t need to use a caption announcing the year 1955. The viewer is able to easily ...

The Biblical Basis For Business Enterprise
Introduction
The Christian business person is a shepherd ushering in the kingdom of God in a fallen world. The
practice of the becoming more like Jesus will grow in results of taking risks, managing finance and
time wisely, acquiring new habits and understanding. The Christian business person is redefining
success, which is much more than material gain, but in a relationship and whole partnership with
Jesus.
Business shepherds are called by God in various duties and stewardship within His Kingdom, giving
them differing talents and abilities. The stewardship of the shepherd s roles and talents determine
success in the eyes of God. Success is the dominion in one s sphere through obedience to God s will.
Obedience to God s will flows out of our relationship with Jesus, and in that relationship, obedience is
not a daunting task, on the contrary, it is a complete willingness to glorify God.
The Biblical Basis for Business Enterprise
People are created in the image of God and by design all people belong to God. The people who have
chosen to accept God s promise belong to God forever. Psalm twenty four is a praise to God, The earth
is the Lord s and everything in it . Everything belongs to God, our life, materials, business,
relationships, absolutely everything. God cares deeply about our wealth and health. However, the sin
that corrupts our bodies and minds, and there is no guarantee that the Christian business person will
prosper. The core of true life is in

Sexual Identity, Discrimination, And Privilege
The course of Multicultural psychology reflected in my own identity in relation to sexual identity,
discrimination, and privilege. Before coming into this course my understanding of these concepts was
mediocre, but after learning about the impacts of each I now see a different perspective. My
understanding of these concepts evolved and changed over time by learning new information about
each separately and applying each to my own life. Now my knowledge is beyond mediocre.
My identity relating to sexual identity was pretty set before coming into this course. I knew even from
a kid I was straight, because I was constantly looking at guys as well as talking about how cute they
were. Nonetheless, I followed the pretty stereotypical roles of a girl growing up. I played with dolls
and loved pink and anything with glitter really. When I was younger, my knowledge about sexual ...

Our class also discussed the type of discrimination that African Americans face when it comes to their
beauty. Attributes that African Americans already posses is popular by social media, but they are not
recognized for their beauty. Only white people seem to get all of the attention. By being white, this
hurt me and made me feel bad about my race is discriminating others. From this class I can learn how

Analysis Of The Talkative Hole In Our Wall Fahrenheit 451
TO BILLY: Yes. The piece speaks of the dangers of human passivity, with a writing style similar to
that of Ray Bradbury. With some revisions, I would recommend accepting the piece for the magazine.
First Reader s Comments: Specific Comments: S1, L2 I suggest removing the space between the end
hyphen and thin in this line as the hyphen is used to connect thick and thin , rather than separate them.
S1, L5 The idea of the talkative hole in our wall is very reminiscent of the talking walls in Fahrenheit
451. Was this a purposeful allusion? If so, I would propose clarifying the allusion, perhaps stating
talkative walls and being more direct, rather than the more evasive, subtle allusion of talkative hole in

While it does flow very nicely in the piece, and reads very easily, the meaning of fritz is used to a refer

the word fritz with a word such as fraternize which would convey your image more clearly. S2, L3
While I like the fiery imagery that you have constructed in these lines, in conjunction with the metallic
weapons, I am confused by the phrase in parentheses. Its meaning and pertinence to the rest of the line
and poem seems to be unclear, and I recommend clarifying it, potentially by elaborating on it in its
connection to the following line. S3, L4 The correct spelling for the singer s name is Katy Perry, not

World Trade Center Memorial The World Trade Center Memorial commemorates the September 11,

found at the former location of the Twin Towers in New York. These fountains that rest in the
footprints of the towers are a powerful reminders of our nations history and all the lives that were lost
that day. This memorial is ultimately successful because it evokes emotion, whether that be sadness or

I don t care if Peter is described as this or that, he says. It s my design. The announcement of Michael
Arad s design winning the competition was the start of controversy for this memorial. Daniel
Libeskind was furious that he won because Arad s design completely destroyed the vision he had for
the space. I will fight this! he yelled during his first meeting about it with the LMDC. I am the people
s architect! Daniel want the slurry wall to be present in the memorial and have the whole site set
below the main street. Arad felt that this would disconnect the memorial from the life of the city. His
opinion won and the slurry wall can still be viewed below the memorial in the museum. That was only
the beginning of conflict between architects in this process of construction. Many victims groups
hated Arad s design as well. They hated the fact that fountains when underground instead of rising into
the sky. The feeling of absence made them uncomfortable. The idea of absence is common in counter
memorials. How can someone depict the incomprehensible events with a comprehensive memorial? A
primary solution to the problem has been the formalized absence given by deconstructivism. I think
the use of absences is what gives this memorial strength. 9/11 was a major day in our nation s history,
therefore it should have an immense memorial. The reflecting pool mark the footprints of the north

Nutrition And Physical Fitness
Nutrition and Physical Fitness as Essential Tools for a Healthy Lifestyle I remember spending hours at
the gym without seeing results. My routines involved two hours cardio plus half an hour of
conditioning combining abs, squats and leg rises. However, my non smart intake behaviors would
remain, and I would consume junk food nearly every day whilst questioning why I was not seeing the
results I aimed for after spending two and a half hours at the gym every day. Yet the answer to this
question seemed to be far away as I was faraway to follow the right pattern towards physical fitness.
People most of the time endeavor towards a perfect shape without bearing in mind the fact of
combining healthy intake habits for optimal results. For a person to have top outcomes and get
benefited through a physically active life, it is vital to take into attention merging a healthy nutrition
while considering the components and different factors that involve living a physically active life.
Living a physically active life offers benefits people can take advantage of. One of them is reducing
the risk of developing chronic diseases like type 2 diabetes and heart disease. People who engage in a
physically active life are less likely to develop diabetes since they just not only cut their weight, but
they also preserve it, which in turn decreases the risks of developing these health conditions because
there is no room for excess of glucose nor clogged arteries since they follow a proper

Dreams As A Mode Of Freedom
The theme of dreams as a mode of freedom, an escape, is commonly seen in the literature of African
American writers that can be traced as far back as the Negro Spirituals during the time of slavery.
While the motif of dreams is used far and wide in African American literature, it is in no way a static
matter, but rather a dynamic entity that writers internalize and redefine to express the sentiments of
their time. The meaning of the dream progressed accordingly to racial tensions in the country and the
freedom African Americans were allotted to express themselves politically and creatively. Starting
with Negro Spirituals, hopes and dreams were often connected to a desire of death to escape slavery.
Following emancipation though, the dream motif began to articulate a more hopeful future.
While some of the poems by the Harlem Renaissance writer Langston Hughes harbor a melancholy
attitude echoing that of the Negro Spirituals, Hughes s work can mainly be seen as the turning point
for how the motif of dreams would be portrayed in the works of prominent black authors and
figureheads. Langston Hughes was the beginning of the positive portrayal of the dream. At the time,
Hughes flourished within his community and it wouldn t be until many years later that the full breadth
of his work would be celebrated. He inspired the likes of Lorraine Hansberry and Martin Luther King
Jr. to bring his message to the nation. The dreams expressed by Hansberry and King Jr. reflects those

Essay On How To Grow Tomato From A Seedling
How to Grow Tomatoes from a Seedling
Growing tomatoes is a simple and rewarding task, and more people should be growing them. This
paper walks readers through the main steps for growing and maintaining patio tomatoes from a
seedling.
The first step in growing tomatoes is determining if you have the appropriate available space and
sunlight to grow them. All tomato varieties require full sunlight, which means at least six hours of
direct sun every day. If you have south facing windows or a patio or backyard that receives direct
sunlight, you should be able to grow tomatoes. Choose the location that receives the most sun.

The containers can be used in the house, on a patio, or anywhere in the backyard, and they are
portable. Containers also tend to better regulate moisture and drain excess water. Choose a container
that is at least 10 inches in diameter and at least 1 foot deep. This will provide sufficient room for root
development.
In addition to the container, you also need the appropriate soil mixture and draining mechanisms. For
the best drainage, fill the bottom of your container with 2 or 3 inches of gravel. On top of the gravel,
fill ¾ of the container with soil. Choose a well balanced organic soil. The three main ingredients you
will find described on soil bags are N P K that is, nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium. Without going
into too much detail about the role of each element in plant growth, I will tell you that an average
vegetable will grow fine in a 10 5 5 mixture. This ratio, too, will be easy to find at your local nursery.
Once you have the gravel in the bottom of the container and the soil on top, you are ready to transplant
the tomato. Pick up the tomato in the plastic container it comes in from the nursery. Turn it upside
down, and holding the stem between your fingers, pat the bottom lightly several times, and the plant
should fall into your hand. Next, you should gently break up the root ball that formed in the nursery
container with your hands. Be gentle, but be sure to

Analysis Of Rocket Boys
The book Rocket Boys is a memoir written by Homer Sonny Hickam, Jr., which is about Sonny s life
in Coalwood, a small mining town in West Virginia. In 1957, Sonny had heard about the launch of the
Russian satellite, Sputnik 1, and became inspired by it so he decided to make an attempt at building a
rocket by himself but when he launched it, it exploded and destroyed his mother s fence. After seeing
the results of his first rocket, Sonny gets his friends Roy Lee. O Dell, Sherman, and later on, Quentin,
and Billy to help and work together with him to build rockets and to also form the BCMA (Big Creek
Missile Agency). Working together, they built Auk 1, their first real rocket. From 1957 to 1960, the
BCMA has had mixed sucess with their rocket building. Success can often be achieved through and by
a good partnership and/or within a group, like how Sonny was able to suceed in his life through many
groups and partnerships.
An important point that can support the thesis is that if you realize and know you cannot achieve
something on your own, it would be best to create a partnership and/or group so it would be easier for
everyone to achieve what they want to. I was forming a rocket club to be called the Big Creek Missile
Agency (BCMA), named in imitation of von Braun s ABMA...We were going to learn all there was
about rockets and start building them. This was to be a serious thing, not playing (77). This quote from
Sonny Hickam in the memoir is simply showing the reader that

  • 3. History And Political Leaders During World War II Before World War II began, Hitler had already began to spread his ideology of cleansing the German state of Jews and other peoples deemed unwanted by the Nazis. After World War I, nearly two million German men had been killed and political leaders and doctors were concerned about the falling birth rate of the population (Finley Croswhite, 2014, slide 6; In this paper I am using APA style). Scientists and political leaders were concerned about the economic state of Germany and believed that biological interference, or racial hygiene, was the answer to their country s worsening population issue. The study of eugenics had begun in the late 19th century (Finley Croswhite, 2014, slide 3). By the 1930s eugenicists encouraged woman they considered to be genetically healthy to produce children while they discouraged women they considered racially inferior from having children. Eventually, laws were enforced that led to the mass sterilization of all racially inferior people. (Finley Croswhite, 2014, slide 4). A primary goal of Hitler s regime was to cleanse Germany of unfit, diseased peoples and build a population of strong, healthy Aryans. In order to accomplish this goal, Hitler had to focus a large portion of his efforts on Germans, and soon after, primarily Jewish men and women. The purpose of this paper is to explore the treatment of Jewish women by the Nazis during the Holocaust with regard to sterilization, pregnancy, and sexual abuse, and to identify the unethical ... Saint Paul was a significant contributor to the spreading of the Gospel through the early Christian communities, particularly through his Epistles, that were established across the Roman Empire. Paul s letters make up some of the earliest of Christian documents and, as such, they are a window into early Christianity, with all of its controversies and unpolished beliefs. The authoritative rule of the New Testament is considered to derive from Saint Paul s works Before his conversion, Paul used the name Saul and he was engaged in the persecution of Jesus early disciples in the area around Jerusalem. In the book of Acts, the narrative tells about Saul traveling from Jerusalem to Damascus when he encountered the resurrected Jesus in a great light that blinded him for three days, until Ananias of Damascus restored his sight. (8 marks) Leon Trotsky s major influences have been a significant factor in the attribution of his rise to prominence in Russian history. Born on the 26th of October in Ukraine to a wealthy Jewish family, Trotsky became a political ideologist and a practical revolutionary. Trotsky s early life experiences and his exposure to his academia had a vital role in the development of his political ideals. In 1895, Leon Trotsky moved schools from Odesa to Nikolayev to prepare for university. It was during this time that Trotsky was first introduced to revolutionary ideas of Karl Marx and came to embrace the Narodniki movement which sought to spread revolutionary socialism amongst Russia s peasantry. This was highly critical in leading to the rise of his prominence as it motivated Trotsky s career as a true revolutionary. Furthermore, Trotsky s emerging political role, in the ... This sickling is due to the polymerization of HbS in low oxygen environments occluding tissues and causing local hypoxic environments. Inflammation is indicated as the trigger for this process in many cases. Experimental studies in transgenic HbS homozygote mice using hypoxia and inflammatory drugs showed occlusion of the postcapillary venules due to increased interactions between leukocytes, RBCs, and the vascular endothelium. The Early Stages Of Embryo Development Mark Jones Writing Assignment 3/5/2017 During the early stages of embryo development, a multitude of signals are being released, some of which specify a cell, such as the neural plate, somites, and notochord, to a dorsal fate. In earlier experiments done by Spemann and Mangold in 1924 that if the dorsal lip of the of the early gastrula was transplanted to a more ventral position in the embryo, the embryo would develop a new secondary axis. The study showed that the organizer respecified the original tissue to develop neural tissue instead. This suggested that the dorsal lip played a key role in signaling to determine cell fates in early embryos. Several of the signals observed in the organizer were BMP antagonists. However, in previous ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Sox2, which is a marker for the neural plate, was observed in each of the knockdowns that were performed. In each case, there was little to no effect on the Sox2 marker and most the neural plate developed. This indicated that there was some overlap in the BMP antagonists or that other signals were responsible for the neural plate development (Khokha et al., 2005). The two results from the single and double knockdown experiments were tested by a morpholino that targeted three antagonists, follistatin, chordin, and noggin. A β catenin morpholino was also injected into the embryo to test whether another signaling pathway was responsible for the development of the neural plate (Heasman et al., 2000). Both these experiments resulted in the absence of the neural plate. Another observation that was made was that the dorsal mesoderm was also absent when β catenin and the FCN morphant was injected into the embryo (Khokha et al., 2005). This suggested that BMP antagonist is not only needed for neural plate development, but it is also needed for the dorsal mesoderm to develop. To show that the absence of the neural plate and dorsal mesoderm was a result of the BMP morphant and not some other reason, two rescue experiments were performed. Puffer fish noggin mRNA was injected into the FCN morphant, which resulted in the reappearance of the neural plate and the dorsal mesoderm. Many poets have different writing styles and themes, but nevertheless, they often share various similarities within their work. Wordsworth, Tennyson, and Keats can be seen as some of the most comparable people in both their personal lives and literary works. There are three specific poems, one from each poet that can be related to one another. There is: Wordsworth s Lines Composed a Few Miles Above Tintern Abbey , Keats s Ode on a Grecian Urn and Tennyson s In Memoriam, A.H.H. Wordsworth, Keats, and Tennyson never rationalize, argue, or preach; they carefully craft every word to maximize a reader s understanding of the experience by absorbing the reader into the poem itself. Each poem has various philosophical truths that the reader has to ultimately discover on his or her own and learn about immortality and the effects of it upon human perception. Even though these poets differ in their messages, their styles and themes of writings can be linked together. Most of the time, adults say phrases such as Good Job or Fantastic to boost the moral of students or children. But praise doesn t always lead to positive growth of an individual in the long run. There is, however, a stronger alternative to praise that many 21st century Western societies haven t quite accepted. This is known as criticism. We see criticism everywhere in our daily lives; from the workplace, to sporting events and competitions, and even in schools across America. It s a lot stronger than praise because it provides students with a basis of comparison, and truth and honesty. Therefore, criticism has a better long term effect on feedback and growth and should be balanced with praise because it allows students to learn from previous mistakes or issues, forcing them to make a positive change about themselves that could potentially help in the future. There are many problems that appear with the use of general praise on its own. For one, praise feeds into the ego of a student, forcing them into a lazy mindset from the overflow of approval. Mesopatamian and Egyptian worldviews can be analyzed by looking at how each society viewed their gods, their roles in the world and their afterlife. The mes viewed their lives as being completely dependent upon the gods. The text notes that the mes felt that they were created by the gods merely to be slaves for the gods. The mes had a truly pessimistic view of their existence. The Egyptians viewed their kings as being divine and kings viewed their responsibility to maintain maat as being serious. This right order enabled the king to rule justly and bring social order and political control to Egypt. Egyptians believed in a pleasant life after death, where people were rewarded for living a good life. The Egyptians worshipped gods that they believed would extend favor onto them for doing good. A Research On Pedestrian Detection The four papers about pedestrian detection we chose to summarize were great and informative, all suggested useful techniques and new ideas in deep learning for pedestrian detection. However, there were few open issues or room for improvement in some of the papers. Here are some of the ideas we suggested to resolve these issues in each paper. Joint Deep Learning for Pedestrian Detection (UDN) Even though the Unified Deep Net (UDN) method learned features by designing hidden layers for the Convolutional Neural Network such that features, deformable parts, occlusions, and classification can be jointly optimized, one of its problems is it treats pedestrian detection as a single binary classification task, which is not able to capture rich pedestrian variations. For example, the method is not able to distinguish pedestrians from hard negatives due to their visual similarities. This problem can be resolved by jointly optimizing pedestrian detection with auxiliary semantic tasks, such as including pedestrian attributes and scene attributes, which was represented in our previous report. Another problem with the UDN method is it did not explicitly model mixture of templates for each body parts, and did not depress the influence of background clutters. Thus, the method could be improved by explicitly model the complex mixture of visual appearance at multiple levels. For example, some extra layers can be added into the hierarchy of the UDN, so that at each feature level, this ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 23. Jane Austen s Novel And True Classic Sense And Sensibility There are many authors whose works are considered to be classics; perhaps the most influential is Jane Austen. Jane Austen wrote six novels, that in today s world, we call classics. Her first novel and true classic Sense and Sensibility, was published in 1811 at a time when the world was just starting to write full length novels. Though Jane Austen only lived to be forty one, she contributed much too modern literature; such as being one of the first major authors to make use of the three volume novel, and to use chapters within the volumes (Sweeton). One of the many reasons as to why Jane Austen s novels are considered classics is due to the fact that she wrote about real social and financial issues of the day; however, financial and social issues are timeless, therefore they are still relevant in today s world. As one follows along with the Dashwood sisters in Sense and Sensibility, we see how the title of the story is very fitting; by providing one sister with sense and the other with sensibility, the story has two different dynamics that create a timeless classic. Born in 1775, Jane Austen grew up in a time when the dynamics of the world were constantly changing. Jane Austen was born in Steventon a village of Hampshire England, to a large family that consisted of seven other children (Jane Austen). The choice over first person and third person (as there is not many works that successfully use second person narratives) is essential based on the type of narrative the author intends to tell. The practice of the becoming more like Jesus will grow in results of taking risks, managing finance and time wisely, acquiring new habits and understanding. The Christian business person is redefining success, which is much more than material gain, but in a relationship and whole partnership with Jesus. Business shepherds are called by God in various duties and stewardship within His Kingdom, giving them differing talents and abilities. The stewardship of the shepherd s roles and talents determine success in the eyes of God. Success is the dominion in one s sphere through obedience to God s will. Obedience to God s will flows out of our relationship with Jesus, and in that relationship, obedience is not a daunting task, on the contrary, it is a complete willingness to glorify God. • 30. Sexual Identity, Discrimination, And Privilege The course of Multicultural psychology reflected in my own identity in relation to sexual identity, discrimination, and privilege. Before coming into this course my understanding of these concepts was mediocre, but after learning about the impacts of each I now see a different perspective. My understanding of these concepts evolved and changed over time by learning new information about each separately and applying each to my own life. Now my knowledge is beyond mediocre. My identity relating to sexual identity was pretty set before coming into this course. I knew even from a kid I was straight, because I was constantly looking at guys as well as talking about how cute they were. Nonetheless, I followed the pretty stereotypical roles of a girl growing up. I played with dolls and loved pink and anything with glitter really. When I was younger, my knowledge about sexual ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... I remember a kid in our class, whose name I do not recall speaking about the discrimination he faced about being gay. He was told to act like a man and not like a girl. He felt like he was being discriminated against because he was different. This hurt me because it s not fair to feel that way. Our class also discussed the type of discrimination that African Americans face when it comes to their beauty. Attributes that African Americans already posses is popular by social media, but they are not recognized for their beauty. Only white people seem to get all of the attention. By being white, this hurt me and made me feel bad about my race is discriminating others. From this class I can learn how to love all types of people no matter color, race etc. I can use this in the future whenever I am in the workplace. I believe that we get treated how we treat others and that is my motto. We should not discriminate, because I know and others know how much it can impact an individual s ... • 31. Analysis Of The Talkative Hole In Our Wall Fahrenheit 451 TO BILLY: Yes. The piece speaks of the dangers of human passivity, with a writing style similar to that of Ray Bradbury. With some revisions, I would recommend accepting the piece for the magazine. First Reader s Comments: Specific Comments: S1, L2 I suggest removing the space between the end hyphen and thin in this line as the hyphen is used to connect thick and thin , rather than separate them. S1, L5 The idea of the talkative hole in our wall is very reminiscent of the talking walls in Fahrenheit 451. Was this a purposeful allusion? If so, I would propose clarifying the allusion, perhaps stating talkative walls and being more direct, rather than the more evasive, subtle allusion of talkative hole in our wall but it s all up to you! ... While it does flow very nicely in the piece, and reads very easily, the meaning of fritz is used to a refer to a machine that has stopped working or a machine that has fallen into a state of disrepair. I feel as though the image of fritzing with fire may come across as unclear to the reader, and suggest replacing the word fritz with a word such as fraternize which would convey your image more clearly. S2, L3 While I like the fiery imagery that you have constructed in these lines, in conjunction with the metallic weapons, I am confused by the phrase in parentheses. Its meaning and pertinence to the rest of the line and poem seems to be unclear, and I recommend clarifying it, potentially by elaborating on it in its connection to the following line. The World Trade Center Memorial World Trade Center Memorial The World Trade Center Memorial commemorates the September 11, 2001,attacks and the bombing that occurred at the World Trade Center in 1993. The memorial can be found at the former location of the Twin Towers in New York. These fountains that rest in the footprints of the towers are a powerful reminders of our nations history and all the lives that were lost that day. This memorial is ultimately successful because it evokes emotion, whether that be sadness or possibly a feeling of serenity or stillness. It s my design. The announcement of Michael Arad s design winning the competition was the start of controversy for this memorial. Daniel Libeskind was furious that he won because Arad s design completely destroyed the vision he had for the space. I will fight this! he yelled during his first meeting about it with the LMDC. I am the people s architect! Daniel want the slurry wall to be present in the memorial and have the whole site set below the main street. Arad felt that this would disconnect the memorial from the life of the city. His opinion won and the slurry wall can still be viewed below the memorial in the museum. That was only the beginning of conflict between architects in this process of construction. Many victims groups hated Arad s design as well. They hated the fact that fountains when underground instead of rising into the sky. The feeling of absence made them uncomfortable. The idea of absence is common in counter memorials. How can someone depict the incomprehensible events with a comprehensive memorial? A primary solution to the problem has been the formalized absence given by deconstructivism. I think the use of absences is what gives this memorial strength. 9/11 was a major day in our nation s history, therefore it should have an immense memorial. • 33. Nutrition And Physical Fitness Nutrition and Physical Fitness as Essential Tools for a Healthy Lifestyle I remember spending hours at the gym without seeing results. My routines involved two hours cardio plus half an hour of conditioning combining abs, squats and leg rises. However, my non smart intake behaviors would remain, and I would consume junk food nearly every day whilst questioning why I was not seeing the results I aimed for after spending two and a half hours at the gym every day. • 34. Dreams As A Mode Of Freedom The theme of dreams as a mode of freedom, an escape, is commonly seen in the literature of African American writers that can be traced as far back as the Negro Spirituals during the time of slavery. While the motif of dreams is used far and wide in African American literature, it is in no way a static matter, but rather a dynamic entity that writers internalize and redefine to express the sentiments of their time. The meaning of the dream progressed accordingly to racial tensions in the country and the freedom African Americans were allotted to express themselves politically and creatively. Starting with Negro Spirituals, hopes and dreams were often connected to a desire of death to escape slavery. Following emancipation though, the dream motif began to articulate a more hopeful future. While some of the poems by the Harlem Renaissance writer Langston Hughes harbor a melancholy attitude echoing that of the Negro Spirituals, Hughes s work can mainly be seen as the turning point for how the motif of dreams would be portrayed in the works of prominent black authors and figureheads. Langston Hughes was the beginning of the positive portrayal of the dream. At the time, Hughes flourished within his community and it wouldn t be until many years later that the full breadth of his work would be celebrated. He inspired the likes of Lorraine Hansberry and Martin Luther King Jr. to bring his message to the nation. The dreams expressed by Hansberry and King Jr. reflects those of Hughes ... The containers can be used in the house, on a patio, or anywhere in the backyard, and they are portable. Containers also tend to better regulate moisture and drain excess water. Choose a container that is at least 10 inches in diameter and at least 1 foot deep. This will provide sufficient room for root development. In addition to the container, you also need the appropriate soil mixture and draining mechanisms. For the best drainage, fill the bottom of your container with 2 or 3 inches of gravel. On top of the gravel, fill ¾ of the container with soil. Choose a well balanced organic soil. The three main ingredients you will find described on soil bags are N P K that is, nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium. Without going into too much detail about the role of each element in plant growth, I will tell you that an average vegetable will grow fine in a 10 5 5 mixture. This ratio, too, will be easy to find at your local nursery. Once you have the gravel in the bottom of the container and the soil on top, you are ready to transplant the tomato. Pick up the tomato in the plastic container it comes in from the nursery. Turn it upside down, and holding the stem between your fingers, pat the bottom lightly several times, and the plant should fall into your hand. Next, you should gently break up the root ball that formed in the nursery container with your hands. Be gentle, but be sure to ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 38. Analysis Of Rocket Boys The book Rocket Boys is a memoir written by Homer Sonny Hickam, Jr., which is about Sonny s life in Coalwood, a small mining town in West Virginia. In 1957, Sonny had heard about the launch of the Russian satellite, Sputnik 1, and became inspired by it so he decided to make an attempt at building a rocket by himself but when he launched it, it exploded and destroyed his mother s fence. After seeing the results of his first rocket, Sonny gets his friends Roy Lee. O Dell, Sherman, and later on, Quentin, and Billy to help and work together with him to build rockets and to also form the BCMA (Big Creek Missile Agency). Working together, they built Auk 1, their first real rocket. From 1957 to 1960, the BCMA has had mixed sucess with their rocket building. Success can often be achieved through and by a good partnership and/or within a group, like how Sonny was able to suceed in his life through many groups and partnerships. An important point that can support the thesis is that if you realize and know you cannot achieve something on your own, it would be best to create a partnership and/or group so it would be easier for everyone to achieve what they want to. I was forming a rocket club to be called the Big Creek Missile Agency (BCMA), named in imitation of von Braun s ABMA...We were going to learn all there was about rockets and start building them.
