Op 18 februari 2016 heb ik deelgenomen aan een webinar over de rol van online video bij blended learning. Ik heb Merrill’s first principles of instruction gebruikt om te verkennen hoe je online video op een effectieve manier kunt inzetten.
Tom Caswell discusses open educational resources (OER) and open courseware (OCW). He defines OER as high-quality educational materials that are freely available online to share, reuse and modify. OCW is a type of OER that includes course planning documents, learning activities and evaluations organized as courses. Institutions that provide OCW benefit by showcasing their educational quality and allowing broader access to their faculty's work. While intellectual property and technology issues must be considered, the international OER community provides support for institutions wanting to participate.
This document outlines the schedule and assignments for Week 4 of the Community Service Engineering curriculum. It includes a face-to-face meeting on October 24-25 at Thomas More Kempen to discuss project selection, feedback on a serious game about poverty, and meetings with researchers and advocacy organizations on the topic of vulnerability. Students must decide on a real-life project by November 7th and complete two assignments: 1) research the context of use and vulnerable stakeholders for their project, and 2) discuss vulnerability and inclusion in design within their group.

From the bottom up approach - Creating a model to foster the “pull” effect in...ePortfolios Australia
"Early in 2013 Western Sydney Institute installed a locally hosted instance of Mahara providing all students and staff with a WSI ePortfolio account. A project was then created to develop and trial a model and resources for providing individuals (students, teachers and other staff) with skills to start using their ePortfolios on a personal basis (unrelated to their formal studies).
This workshop will engage participants in thinking about why training/assistance/support should be provided to account holders outside of their formal studies, how to develop a model for implementation of training and support, ideas for running a trial, providing ongoing assistance etc.
