2. About Us
We envision one India “where every woman and every girl,
who wants to earn, gets the opportunities to do so.”
For the thousands of stifled women in low-income
communities across the country, Bal Shashwat Foundation is
the key to unlocking their power!
Bal Shashwat foundation touches their lives, by helping create
powerful, enterprising women that produce and sell
hand-made products.
Together, we provide livelihood opportunities to these low-
income women – empowering them to become role models
and change-makers in their families and communities.
3. Mission & Vision
Bal Shashwat Foundation builds the capabilities of
grassroots organisations and the
women they work with.
By investing in organisation building, injecting business
acumen, upgrading quality and production infrastructure
and providing market linkages, we generate livelihoods,
create women entrepreneurs and build enterprises.
Women in India prosper through meaningful work that
allows them to balance their domestic responsibilities,
with opportunities for social and economic
empowerment
5. TITLI
(Women Empowerment Program)
Over 90% of workers and producers in India are in the informal economy with no regular
salaried employment, no protection from hazardous working conditions, no social
security or social safety nets, and are particularly vulnerable to external fluctuations
within the economy and the state.
The informal economy is not a separate part of the economy but is closely tied with the
formal economy, both for the supply of labour as well as for goods and services. As a
result, informal workers are connected to both local and global economies. Women in
the informal economy face even more risk than men due to lower wages, more
strenuous work, and familial and societal responsibilities.
So, we are trying to give them opportunities with our TITLI program. We are educating
them for their fundamental rights. We are teach them different kinds of courses, I.e.
sewing course, beautician course etc. so that they can build something for them. We
want to make them an entrepreneur.

virtual mentorship programs
