- Birdseed and the Four Pianos is a collection of five short character pieces of contrasting style
and language for reed trio.

Performance Notes:
- Trills should begin on the principal note.
- Timbre trills are indicated by a trill marking with the word “timbre” above it.
- Tied notes of the same pitch under a timbre trill indicate that the note should trill at
that rhythm.
- The written meter is simply a notational and organizational convenience; there should be no
attempt to convey the written meter.
- Movements are marked attacca at the final bar.
- “Wait ca. X”” means that the performers should remain in performance position.
