Common Grammar Mistakes
While speaking, people might make mistakes about tenses, grammars or structures, especially for
foreigners. The errors would continue to the written language. Hence, in this paper, I will discuss
some grammatical errors of three papers from student paper 3, 5 and 10. The types of paper are
different from each other, such as journal, summary and critique. Since different paper types have
different structures and expressive methods, it is more precise to discover the common mistakes made
by students through different essays. The most common grammar mistakes include punctuation,
spelling, verbs tenses, capitalization, incomplete sentence.
First of all, in the critique paper about Title IX, the most obvious mistake is ... Show more content on

Finally, there are some tiny typing errors. The author wants to express reasons by using the phrase due
to , but he mistakenly type do to . Also the author mistakenly type without to with out , sight to insight
. Apart from grammar errors, the author always capitalize the first letter of a word which is
unnecessary, for example, Good intent , Conniff Explains , Male athlete etc.
The second paper is a summary of Preaching to the choir? Not this time . In the introductory part, the
author use the wrong world version. It s relevancy to the students stems , the word relevancy is a noun
phrase, the correct form should be adjectival. Also, there are some punctuation problems in this paper.
The comma is used to connect the subordinate clause and the main sentence; it seems like that the
author neglect the use of comma. For example, Also since all college students can vote and elections
are coming up this article may help inform them of the past 8 years President s Politics , a comma is
supposed to be added right before the word this where a new sentence begins. Another problem is that
when people use however as a linking word, they need to put a period at end the last sentence or a
semicolon between two sentences. It did not all go according to plain however, Bush received a letter ,
punctuation is missing in this sentence. One common mistake is that author uses comma to connect

The Descending Control Mechanism Activates Once Noxious...
The descending control mechanism activates once noxious stimuli reaches the higher level processing
area of the brain. Inhibition can occur through opiate release
Descending Pathways
The descending pathways involved in pain utilise efferent motor nerves (gamma motor neurons).
These pathways are involved in analgesic response or motor response to pain.
pain modulation with brain areas(Tracey Mantyh, 2007) pain modulation with brain areas(Gebhart,
2004) areas work together through inhibition or facilitation of nociceptive signals.
Monoamines such as; serotonin, norepinephrine, or dopamine mediate modulation in the DH by
binding to their according receptor subtypes of the afferent nociceptive fibres (Millan, 2005; Zhao et

Gender Inequality In Australia
Australia has a unique history that has shaped the diversity of its peoples, their cultures and lifestyles
today. Our diversity makes Australia a great place to live. Members of the Toowoomba Regional
Council Harmony Day Committee, thank you for the opportunity to present to you an issue of
prejudice that is still highly prevalent in our society, gender inequality. Over your lifetime you have
probably been confronted by the idea that men are paid more than women. But what does this mean
and why does this division exist? Why do we devalue the economic contribution of a woman to the
extent that we pay her less? No country in the world can yet say that they have achieved gender
equality. In almost every country, women are paid less for an hour s work than men. The fact the
gender pay gap persists is horrendous. In Australia, the principle of equal pay for equal work was
introduced in 1969 by the Australian Government, anti discrimination on the basis of sex was
legislated in 1984 (Commonwealth of Australia 1998). Nevertheless, pay discrepancies based on the
gender of an employee still exists. The Workplace Gender Equality Agency claims removing the gap
could take up to 50 years in Australia, (Peetz, Murrary 2017). Members of the Harmony Day
Committee, it is evident that we need to curtail our beliefs and values towards pay equality and
furthermore, we need to support our values, we need to make a tangible change. This can be done by
advocating to close the pay gap

The Purpose Of Copyright Law
The public relations content I choose was copyright law. In the day and age we live in today this is a
huge topic discussed. There are a lot of people out there that claim someone might have stole this or
that. Music artist have to deal with this a lot because people try and take their work and put into their
own. Copyright means protection of creative work from unauthorized use.
A recent case that this has been brought up in is the band Led Zeppelin. The front man Robert Plant
and guitarist Jimmy Page were accused of plagiarizing their song Stairway to Heaven song. They were
accused of stealing music from the band Spirit. They were accused of stealing the instrumental track

Formal Analysis Worksheel
I have never given a formal interview. An interview is a two party interaction in which at least one
party has a specific purpose to seek out information (book). There are many important components to
consider when developing an effective interview protocol. The first thing to do is establish goals
(lecture). Taking into account the team organizational analysis paper in this class, my team will want a
overview of Hudl s organization, including its history, mission, organizational culture, and
communication patterns.
The next step is identify and analyze the other party (book). To be able to get a more holistic
evaluation of Hudl, it will be best for my group to interview people in multiple hierarchical levels in
the organization. Before heading to my interview, I will research the company (book lecture). The ...

This is a good way to ensure I will cover all my bases and get all the information I need. It will be
important to include all types of questions. Most questions will be open ended to allow the interviewee
to freely express himself. Some questions will be factual, while others will seek an opinion. A
hypothetical question is one when the respondent has no experience to answer the question directly
(book). One I might ask is, If you have a personal problem, then would your co workers support you
in a time of need? Or would Hudl provide services for you?
Personally, I have had several interviews in my life, most of them being job interviews. I have done
well in all these employment interviews, but it has never occurred to me that one day, I will be on the
other side of the table during a job interview to see how well a candidate fits a job (book). When I
open my own physical therapy practice one day, I will have to interview receptionists, assistants, and
other physical therapists. I will have to formulate my own interview protocols

Summary Of Eliza And Her Monsters
Outside Reading Book Essay: Eliza and Her Monsters Ignoring fame was my rebellion, in a funny
way. I was insistent on being normal and doing normal things. It probably wasn t advisable to go to
college in America and room with a complete stranger. And it probably wasn t wise to share a
bathroom with eight other people in a coed dorm. Looking back, that was crazy, Emma Watson. Fame
is something that consequently cannot be ignored once gained without bearing great consequences and
risk to its owner. The longer someone attempts to pretend it s not there, the further one will fall into
the trap of losing one s own reality by refusing to acknowledge fame, because it quickly becomes
inexplicably intertwined with one s life no matter how ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

appreciative towards her parents for what they said and their praise, Eliza instantly shrinks away from
it, her biggest secret having made its way into the real world. Had she not been anxious about getting
such attention for it, she would ve been okay with her identity being known, but all Eliza wanted was

Compare And Contrast Arranged Marriage And Arranged Marriages
When you think of arranged marriages you will probably have an image of a 16th to 19th century
picture going on in your head since that s when it was really common and normalize back then, but
that s not always the case because even now in modern times arranged marriages are still practiced
throughout other places and countries such as India, Japan, and China. Some keep up these old
traditions for their religious beliefs and others for their own personal reasons. As we step into modern
times though, a new type of forming a relationship has had an uprising for the past decade or so which
has come to be known as online dating. Some may feel like online dating is different from arranged
marriages and in a way it is but in many ways, online dating and arranged marriages have the same
structure just with fewer people involved.
Arranged marriages viewed by people with American standards will probably feel like those involved
in an arranged marriage are being forced into something they have no say in because their parents
want to marry them off to some stranger and while that may be the case for some, not many involved
feel that way. What many people do however is confuse forced marriages and arranged marriages as
the same thing when that is not the case and those with negative feelings towards arranged marriages
will always see those two types of marriage as the same thing. Forced marriage is a marriage in which
one or more of the individuals is married without his or her consent

Essay on MP3 and Music
The Possibilities and Problems of Digital Recording and Distribution
Abstract: This essay deals with the creative possibilities generated by the influx of inexpensive and
easy to use digital recording software, hardware, and digital distribution techniques. One of the main
themes of the essay is the problem of upholding creativity and artistic integrity in an unmediated
digital environment.
What would you say if I told you that I had bought entire paragraphs of this paper online? You would
probably accuse me of plagiarism and disregard the contents of the essay. However, many
contemporary composers and their listeners consider the practice of buying digital loops of music for
use in compositions completely ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
However, modern technology has made it possible to package many of the features of large recording
studios into small digital recording consoles, which amateur musicians can afford. The price of one of
these consoles, the Tascam Digital Portastudio 788, at Musiciansfriend.com, is $899.99 [1]. This
console, although seemingly expensive, is much more cost effective than paying for an entire studio,
and can achieve nearly the same results. The real benefit of a digital recording console, however, is the
creative control it bestows upon musicians. Instead of having a producer who dictates how the
recording should sound, the musician becomes the producer, giving him complete control over all
aspects of the composition. Additionally, because of the cost of studio recording, a musician s time in
the studio is usually limited. However, with a personal digital recording console, one can freely
experiment with new ideas without time constraints. While this unmediated recording environment
theoretically provides an artist with unlimited creative flexibility, it also allows for detrimental misuse
in the form of non original composition, which can negate the creative possibilities of this new artistic
process.
The accessibility and simplicity of the unmediated digital recording process enable individuals, who
otherwise would not be involved in music recording, damage the reputation

Positive Benefits Of Youth Sports
According to the English Oxford Dictionary sports are activities involving physical exertion and skill
in which an individual or team competes against another or others for entertainment. Sports are
something everyone can enjoy in some way or another, whether it be play competitively, playing for
fun, or watching them. Almost everyone has played a sport in their life, it could be on a team or even
in gym class. One of the most important things a parent can do is get their kids involved in sports at a
young age, even if they don t stick with it in the long run. As I said in my 1.7 current event, kids
participating in athletics has decreased by 8 percent according to Aspen data, this is detrimental to kids
futures. Youth sports teach kids many lessons and can help prepare them for life and future careers.
Youth sports teach kids valuable life skills, one being teamwork. When a child begins playing on a
sports team, they learn social skills and how to cooperate with others in order to work towards a
common goal. This skill is beneficial for a child to learn at a young age. When they begin school, they
need to have good social skills and they need to work with other students in group activities, projects,
etc. This skill will also be a necessity in most work places. In a lot of workplaces, workers combine
their skills to reach a common goal. Teamwork skills include guiding others, participating, and
commitment, which are all skills you can learn from playing youth sports.

Tiananmen Square 1989 Analysis
Tiananmen Square, 1989 The 20th century was marked by many wars and rebellious events with the
millions of human victims among solders and civilians; nevertheless, political leaders do not change
their tactics. The issue of the armaments race is on the agenda in the 21st century, and there are still
wars for the territory, strategic natural resources, power, leadership, and domination on the world map
with a complete absence of the respect to cultural and territorial borders among neighboring countries,
anarchy, and violence inside a country when people want to assert their rights or express the protest to
politicians. One of such events that shook the world became the student protest on Tiananmen Square

Religion, Acceptance, And Social Change
Throughout time, the views of homosexuality throughout a country can change. Whether its religion,
acceptance, laws, or social change, the views will evolve. Greece serves as an example of a country
that was once accepting of homosexuality, but is slowly progressing to not be as accepting. In Ancient
Greece, homosexual relationships occurred regularly between an older man, and a younger child. As
stated on pbs.org, Traditionally these relationships involved an older man and a youth and lasted until
the youth reached full adulthood. Thereafter this type of relationship was frowned upon because
physical love was perceived as always involving one person in a position of submission, something
that was unacceptable for a full Greek citizen. In Ancient Greece, homosexuality wasn t much of an
issue because of gender, it was an issue based on age. The acceptance of homosexuality throughout
Ancient Greece has made a sharp turn in modern day Greece. Although there are currently no laws
against gay marriage, there are no laws that protect homosexuals. For example, households where the
main head is a homosexual couple s do not have the same rights to protection as compared to couples
that are heterosexual. Greece has experienced a turning point on their stance regarding homosexuality.
A concept that was once highly accepted and viewed as common is now beginning to be looked down
upon. Hate crime against homosexuals in Greece has begun to increase. As Fragkiska Megaloudi

Born in 1896 and although died, insane and in poverty in 1948, Artaud lived an influential life. All his

My Life Is The Worst
The air was damp and still. Not a single breeze on this seemingly hot as fuck evening in the middle of
August. I close my eyes as I continue down the sidewalk out of the small neighborhood of shitty
apartments, most of which that are left to rot. Not very many people live here, which is probably my
favorite part of this place. No one yelling at the other from their balcony, cursing while a million little
children run about getting bullied and thrown to the ground. It s so quiet. So quiet and peaceful, it s
hard to imagine that town is right around the corner. It s as if even the outside world s sound had
abandoned this place. 5th street is quite the ways down, so I was left to my own devices. I would love

Alice Munro is an eminent Canadian essayist who has devoted her life to generating fiction, short
stories that deal with recurrent events among today s society. She is best known for being awarded a

women. The role of Grace and her boyfriend one of the days was to make strawberry jam, but soon

women who rented out the property to give them water. This exemplifies, the social norms the are
placed among both men and women. Within societies perspective, men are the breadwinners and the
ones in charge of handling any tough physical labor. On the other hand, the role of a woman generally

Reasons To Stop Multitasking Summary
Peter Bregman, the CEO of Bregman s company, is the author How and (why) to Stop Multitasking .
In his article published in Harvard Business Review Blog in May 2010, he establishes the importance
and effectiveness of single tasking. He states that multitasking, in fact, reduces our productivity, being
the reason why it isn t as useful as people believe it is. As well, he argues that by not multitasking
people end up being unstressed, patient, and more useful with their time; demonstrating his opposition
towards multitasking. Bregman implies the importance of unitasking by emphasizing the positive
impact it had on his family, building credibility with his personal experiences as a CEO, and
presenting facts. For Bregman, single tasking entails an improvement in the working area and personal

Antigone The Significance Of A Single Soul Research Paper
The Significance of a Single Soul How can one single person make a difference in the world? It seems
impossible that a single person can make a difference in such a large world but it happens all the time.
In history, many people have made very notable influences in the the way we live today. They have
indeed changed the world forever. Literature illustrates this very same principle time and time again.
In Shakespeare s Julius Caesar, for example, Brutus is burdened with two choices: stay loyal to Caesar
or join Cassius s conspiracy. Brutus eventually decides on joining Cassius because he sees it as the
healthier alternative for the Roman Republic. He murders Caesar with the group and the repercussion
is brutal. Antigone in the play by Sophocles makes the choice of following divine law over civil law,

The Ways Of Viewing Religion
Similar to the way in which people can choose from a wide assortment of religions, there are also
many ways of viewing religion. One of these view points is existentialism, which states that where
there is faith, not matter what in, a person has a right to make there own chooses. Many believe that
this individual freedom then leads to risk in faith and often times doubt that cannot ever be separated
from faith. It would be like having a huge tangled ball of two different colored string, However, you
only want one of the colors, so you work relentlessly to untangle this massive ball. Yet when you have
finally finished, you realized that there never were two different stings. There is only one string that is
both colors. It is the same with faith and doubt, no matter how hard you work to remove doubt from
faith they will still be the same piece of string. In his work Saint Manuel Bueno, Martyr, existentialist
writer Unamuno discusses this entanglement of faith and doubt. While it is important to recognize that
faith can not exist without doubt, I believe it is more interesting to analyze if doubt can exist without
faith. It was Don Manuel s goal to make the villagers happy and to make sure that they did not have to
deal with the heavy burden of doubt. He wanted them to have perfect faith without any doubt, and for
the most part he was successful. However, according to existentialists they had to have existed at least
a shred of doubt in each of these villagers. While it was

Pros And Cons Of Birth Control Pills
Condoms or Pills; Which is Most Effective?
It s no secret that when it comes to birth control, some methods are more effective than others. The
reliability of a method of birth control depends on the product itself and on the consistency and
appropriate use of it. Two of the most common forms of birth control are condoms and birth control
pills. But, which one is most effective?
The only 100% full proof way of preventing pregnancy is to practice abstinence. However, couples
who commit to abstinence often fall to temptation and are unprepared when that happens. For this
reason, it s important to have clear conversations and be prepared for sexual intercourse, even if the
plan is to not partake in it.
The best way to be prepared is to know what safe and reliable form of protection to use and to have it
on hand. So, which form is better? The pill or condoms?
The Pill Vs. Condoms Pros and Cons
Both men and women must consider this question before actively engaging in a sexual relationship.
Should a man wear a condom or should a woman be on the pill? There is no easy answer, but listing
the pros and cons of each form of protection is a great way to start the conversation.
The Advantages of Taking a Birth Control Pills

The Language Of Oppression
Language is common in the world it is the way humans communicate and relate to things with one
another.Language is a powerful tool in the world because it can give power to people and can be used
to manipulate through renaming people, stereotyping a person and using a euphemistic approach in
addressing a person.
Language influence can be witnessed in Haig Bosmajian book The Language Of Oppression where
the essay shares how language can be used to manipulate Names. Names can be used to bring value or
degradation to people. The degradation of human beings can lead to a loss of self belief and
devaluation of an individual. A most recognizable place where this event occurred was between the

Dred Scott decision. Dred Scott moved North with his master and sues claiming that because he was
in free territory, he was no longer a slave. The case goes to the Supreme Court and they rule in favor
of Dred Scott s master and the court says that not only is Dred Scott not free, but he cannot even bring

that aren t part of the confederacy. Kentucky, Maryland, Missouri, Delaware, and West Virginia were
all border states and they were all important. For example Missouri was the gateway to the west and
Kentucky was close to the Ohio river. The Union had many more resources. This means that it would
take an extensive amount of time for the confederacy to accomplish anything and eventually the South

The Negative Aspects Of School Integration
Throughout history school integration has been somewhat of a war, but why? Although school
integration should be something that is praised because of what it has done for children in the past,
many people and administrators do all in their power to prevent school integration. We claim as a
society that all children should have the same opportunities, but in many cases that is not an option
without school integration. In order to grow as a rising society, it is important for people to set aside
what their negative beliefs about school integration are if it means a better future for children who
otherwise would not have the chance to thrive as they should. B. The Problem We All Live With Part
One: A Sociological Analysis:
In part one of The Problem We All Live With, we are introduced to many incredible, unforgettable
facts about the American school district, facts that are very often overlooked in today s society. Nikole
Hannah Jones speaks out about her years reporting on the american education system and the different
problems she encountered while doing so. Nikole states that administrators have tried to close the
enormous achievement gap between 1971 and 1988 between primarily black and white students that
was about forty points. Because most underachieving school districts were mostly black and latino,
these problems were often dismissed. School districts were not doing much to help the fact that
children in segregated schools, more often than not, had the least experienced teachers, which was a
large part of the problem(Cole, 1978: 183). The Normandy school district in Missouri became
unaccredited because of how poor the quality of the education was. Because Normandy became an
unaccredited school, the transfer law came into effect. The transfer law is a law that gave students in
unaccredited school districts the right to transfer to a nearby accredited schools for free
(Stephanopoulos, 2016: 403). The transfer law gave students of Normandy the right to transfer to
Francis Howell, an accredited school on the other other side of town. Parents of Francis Howell were
not happy with the Normandy students transferring because they were convinced that this would lower

paintings from Meghann Riepenhoff, along with Tim Andrews. The show consisted of both their
paintings in separate sections, they were the only two artist. Personally, I d say the show combined did
not have a theme, but as separate it did. When I first stepped in the building, I was welcomed by
greeters, the event coordinator and Riepenhoff s paintings. Her painting s made me think the overall
event theme was about the beach and waves, but that was not the case. While I continued walking and

What I most loved about this particular piece was the fact that it was a more so closer, deeper view

Breastfeeding In Public Essay
What could possibly be wrong about a mother nourishing her child? Absolutely nothing. Many people
view a woman s breasts as sexual items. The main purpose of breasts Is to breastfeed a child after
birth. I came across The Milk Truck while back. The Milk Truck is there to create a mobile
breastfeeding unit that allows mothers to feed their babies in places where they have been discouraged
restaurants, shopping malls, public spaces, etc. Babies should be able to eat anywhere, and everywhere

Some states have laws so strict that asking a nursing mother to stop, cover up, or move elsewhere is a
violation of her civil rights and gives her grounds to sue for damages in a court of law .
Babies who are not breastfed in places other than home will eventually become used to only being fed
in one place. Therefore the nourishing mother will basically become house bound. It is important for
women to get out of the house following birth, so they don t become depressed and feel cut off from
the rest of the world. According to The American Academy of Pediatrics The AAP recommends that
babies be exclusively breastfed for about the first 6 months of life. Babies should continue to
breastfeed for a year and for as long as is mutually desired by the mother and baby . During these first
6 months the mother should be dedicated to supplying breast milk whenever and wherever she and her
infant feel appropriate. Why should a mother be segregated from her everyday life during her nursing
period just to make others feel comfortable ?
For the most part women cover themselves with a shawl, a wrap, or a cover of some sort while
breastfeeding. If not they make sure that they are not exposed in any way. Breastfeeding saves
everyone money. According to Opposing Views A conservative 2001 report estimates that at least $3.6

Student Learning And Understanding The Classroom
As effective a teacher can be, student learning and understanding are the primary goals in all educators
minds when they are teaching. Overall, each of the teachers is constantly trying to ensure completely
understanding, changing the lesson to adapt the pace of what the students need to learn. When her
students were not working through the lesson as quickly as she had expected, Ms. Kennedy removed a
task of the lesson for her class to be able to finish what was necessary to the class. By being adaptable
and prepared for the possibility of the lesson plans not working as successfully as planned allowed
students the ability to be able to learn what is necessary in the lesson, even if that means cutting a task
or two in the entire lesson scheme. To students who were misbehaving, they were corrected and
redirected by their name, being told to return their focus back to their work. By redirecting the
behavior back to working on their assignment put the emphasis on the importance of the learning in
the classroom. For the students who needed more time and help, Mrs. Graham would quietly tell the
students that they could keep working on the work and if time did not allow the students to continue
working, they were told they needed to finish their work for homework. The materials used were
chromebooks for the most part in their classes, which helped individualize the work. With working on
the chromebooks, students were able to begin their work on individual assignments and allowed

Descriptive Essay On Ballet Slippers
The young, fashionable man contrasted starkly against other High Ground patrons, who were nearly
all dressed casually. However, this casual clothing took different forms; from the woman in the casual
dress to the outdoorsy looking man, there were many variations on casual wear. For example, there
was one young woman in the line who was wearing the same shorts and a tee combination as many
other patrons. Hanging off the back of her backpack were a pair of pink leather shoes, soft and supple,
with worn pads on the bottom where the material was gathered in from the top. They were hooked
onto her backpack with a carabiner through the criss crossed elastic bands which pulled the two sides
of the shoe together. Through iconic reasoning, I recognized them as ballet slippers. This lead me to
assume that this young woman was a dancer, coming from or going to class or rehearsal. This
indexical assumption was based on my recognizing the ballet slippers and understanding what ballet
slippers are generally used for, as well as knowing that rarely, if ever, someone would hang a pair of
well used ballet slippers off of their backpack as a sort of fashion statement. After mentally cataloging
the woman in the summer dress, the hiker, the fashionable young man, and now the ballerina based on
clothes and accessories, I tried to find a sign that was not clothing. I noticed the young woman at the
table next to mine, who was industriously typing away on her laptop, referring every now and

The Culture Of Chin Leadership And Management
Leadership and Management
The culture of China, in terms of management inside of a company is described as each person has a
very clear role and that helps organization to keep things in order. Unlike Serbia and Montenegro
where it has a culture of employees expecting employer to give them detailed directions and no
questions are expected. Generally managers in China use autocratic leadership style. However they
will not embarrass or punish employee publicly or in front of the colleagues. Another important factor
is the hierarchy of Chinese culture. Even though the actual control is at the top of line management
there may be informal interaction between staffs or managers and staffs (Kwintessential.co.uk, 2014).

Chinese culture is more people oriented where role and responsibilities are not stated clearly and when
the problems are faced they seek for teamwork approach no matter which role they are assigned to.
Consequently, each individual can engage themselves in a plethora of ventures in contest of their time
and resources (Busch et al., 2013).
Relationships are vital in China and looking after your network of relationships is viewed as road to
success. For example during the work time people view their coworkers also as friends. If one of them
were in trouble they would help them. The goals of a team are very vital and if the team succeeds
everyone get compensated for the success. If the team fails it would be difficult to blame someone for
not performing the task well. Even though teamwork is motivating and it builds better relationship
between employees as well as trust it can result in resource waste and lack of accountability in the end
results (Connecteast.net, 2014). http://geert hofstede.com/china.html
According to Hofstede China is collectivist in nature, which means they work hard for the result of
group achievement. They do not look so much on individual achievement but stress the group effort.
Teamwork is held in high esteem in China, and is therefore interwoven into the very existence of the
people. The philosophy that they adhere is that the group is more important than any individual

Proposal For Behavior Change Plan
Benchmark Proposal for Behavior Change Plan Howard is an 11 year old student in the sixth grade
that has Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (Grand Canyon University, 2014). He also may have
a learning disability, based on his academic struggles in the areas of math and reading (2014). Howard
exhibits off task and task avoidance behaviors when faced with a math assignment (2014). This paper
will suggest steps to address and change these behaviors, possible motivational, instructional, and
safety interventions that should be utilized to support Howard, and reinforcement techniques that will
encourage and motivate positive behavior. Steps for Behavior Change The first step to making
behavior changes is identifying the behavior and understanding possible reasons why the behavior is
being produced (Wright, 2013). Recognizing that Howard exhibits the described undesirable
behaviors during math, a class in which he is struggling to understand the material, is a huge red flag
that may indicate that Howard is avoiding his assignments, because he does not understand how to do
them. Also, it is important to realize that off task behavior and distraction are common symptom of
ADHD (National Institute of Mental Health, n.d.). So, technically, each concerning behavior can be
attributed to Howard s disability (Grand Canyon University, 2014). With this knowledge, Howard
should be assessed academically to determine whether or not he requires support from the special

When all of this began President Reagan had told Lieutenant Colonel Oliver North, who also worked

detection the 12.5 million was transferred into an American bank account while the remaining profit
of 17.5 million was transfer to a Swiss bank account. From there the money was wired to the Contras
and used in the war effort. Once this information had started spreading throughout the American
public artist began to make work based on the Conflict as both a way of raising awareness and to put
blame on those who are responsible. When looking at Steve Greenberg s work you see he is focusing
on President Reagan and adding in type that is an American citizen s point of view on how that affair
took place. Each from does not play out second to second but more in one motion then the next used
as a way to show a longer period of time passing. President Reagan was known for always having
jelly beans on his desk so that artist uses that as a way for the viewer to recognize who it is without
writing it somewhere on the page. This was one of multiple pieces of work Greenburg did as a way of
letting the American people know that even though he may not be taking blame for it, the President

to the following research question:
How does the 1986 television series Journey to the West convey the novel s original Confucian
message, and what does this suggest for its production purposes?
I argue that authors and producers often attempt to impose their own set of cultural and political
ideologies on its audience through a certain depiction of right and wrong. In this manner, works of
fiction might influence, perhaps even alter, the ideologies of the audience.[3] Accordingly, analyzing
the depiction of ideologies in media content can serve as a basis for further research on if and how
producers intend to influence their audience.
This particular case of Confucianism in the 1986 Journey to the West television series is especially
interesting, due to China s socio political setting of that time. The influence of the Chinese Communist
Party (CCP) on media content[4] combined with its usage of Confucianism to secure its own right to
rule[5] make the Journey to the West television series the perfect medium to promote Confucianism to
the masses. The enormous popularity of Journey to the West

Kroger s Module Analysis
Introduction
The cereal aisle analysis took place at Consumer Square West Shopping Center at the Kroger s located
on Soldano Blvd in Columbus, Ohio. The analysis was completed on Saturday, July 11, 2015 from
12:19 p.m. until 1:10 p.m. The cereal aisle was located in the middle of the store and was 6ft by 30ft.
The store carried four brands of cereal. A brand is a type of product manufactured by a particular
company under a particular name (Merriam Webster, Incorporated, 2015). The three brands offered at
Kroger s were Kellogg, General Mills, Quaker and Kroger. The Kellogg brand had 18 different types
of cereal with each cereal having 1 to 10 different varieties. The General Mills brand had 14 different
brands with 1 to 12 different varieties. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Reviewing the consumer purchases history through their individual Kroger reward cards and the
individual customer payment type could verify this hypothesis. If this hypothesis is proven, Kroger s
should adjust its sale items to include more of a variety of cereals. Offering more cereals that are not
sugar filled cereals and are more designed toward older customers give those consumers that
purchases that are influenced by their income, lifestyle and life stage a better selection to purchase
more cereals. Offering more items in the sale items gives Kroger s a better chance of influencing their
customers to make the decision to purchase more items while still feeling they are getting a good
value for their money.
There are questions that need to be answered in order to prove this hypothesis. These questions are:
What is the average income of the customers that shop at Kroger s?; What is the ratio between the
older customers and the younger customers who shop at Kroger s?; What are the types of sales at other
Kroger s?; How satisfied are customers in the selection of cereals and their prices in

Brush Fires By Linda Thomas Analysis
Each year in Southern California, the fall is marked by the arrival of the Santa Ana. These winds are
described in two different texts, Brush Fires by Linda Thomas and The Santa Ana by Joan Didion.
Both pieces address the relationship between the wind and the community, using rhetorical devices to
convey their views. Thomas presents a wind that is essential to nature. Didion, on the other hand, sees
the wind as a characteristic Los Angeles, that can sometimes be detrimental. The writers also have
contrasting experiences with the fires causes which cause drastic differences in tone, portrayal of the
winds, and the overall message within each text. Both texts talk about the negative effects of the wind
that spreads chaos throughout California ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Didion shows that California is not the only place affected by these winds, many places in the world
are as well. She uses the winds and their effects such as increased suicide rate, depression,
nervousness, atypical blood clotting, and more, as a metaphor for life and the world in general. The
world and life, just as the winds, is in an unnatural state at all times. In the winds, ...the air carries an
unusually high ratio of positive to negative ions and no one seems to know why. Similarly, insanity in
life can hit anywhere at any time, with no explanation why. The overall purpose of Didion s text is to
not only show that these winds truly do have a detrimental effect to some extent on the lives of the
people living in California, but also to show that life is just as unpredictable as life and people overall..
Thomas s overall message of his piece is to primarily say that humans are greedy and take advantage
of nature. Therefore, people need to have more respect for the Earth and natural resources and
disasters that come with

The errors would continue to the written language. Hence, in this paper, I will discuss some grammatical errors of three papers from student paper 3, 5 and 10. The types of paper are different from each other, such as journal, summary and critique. Since different paper types have different structures and expressive methods, it is more precise to discover the common mistakes made by students through different essays. The most common grammar mistakes include punctuation, spelling, verbs tenses, capitalization, incomplete sentence. First of all, in the critique paper about Title IX, the most obvious mistake is ... Also, there are some punctuation problems in this paper. The comma is used to connect the subordinate clause and the main sentence; it seems like that the author neglect the use of comma. For example, Also since all college students can vote and elections are coming up this article may help inform them of the past 8 years President s Politics , a comma is supposed to be added right before the word this where a new sentence begins. Another problem is that when people use however as a linking word, they need to put a period at end the last sentence or a semicolon between two sentences. It did not all go according to plain however, Bush received a letter , punctuation is missing in this sentence. One common mistake is that author uses comma to connect two ... • 5. Gender Inequality In Australia Australia has a unique history that has shaped the diversity of its peoples, their cultures and lifestyles today. Our diversity makes Australia a great place to live. Members of the Toowoomba Regional Council Harmony Day Committee, thank you for the opportunity to present to you an issue of prejudice that is still highly prevalent in our society, gender inequality. Over your lifetime you have probably been confronted by the idea that men are paid more than women. But what does this mean and why does this division exist? Why do we devalue the economic contribution of a woman to the extent that we pay her less? No country in the world can yet say that they have achieved gender equality. In almost every country, women are paid less for an hour s work than men. The fact the gender pay gap persists is horrendous. In Australia, the principle of equal pay for equal work was introduced in 1969 by the Australian Government, anti discrimination on the basis of sex was legislated in 1984 (Commonwealth of Australia 1998). Nevertheless, pay discrepancies based on the gender of an employee still exists. The Workplace Gender Equality Agency claims removing the gap could take up to 50 years in Australia, (Peetz, Murrary 2017). Members of the Harmony Day Committee, it is evident that we need to curtail our beliefs and values towards pay equality and furthermore, we need to support our values, we need to make a tangible change. This can be done by advocating to close the pay gap ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Compare And Contrast Arranged Marriage And Arranged Marriages When you think of arranged marriages you will probably have an image of a 16th to 19th century picture going on in your head since that s when it was really common and normalize back then, but that s not always the case because even now in modern times arranged marriages are still practiced throughout other places and countries such as India, Japan, and China. Some keep up these old traditions for their religious beliefs and others for their own personal reasons. As we step into modern times though, a new type of forming a relationship has had an uprising for the past decade or so which has come to be known as online dating. Some may feel like online dating is different from arranged marriages and in a way it is but in many ways, online dating and arranged marriages have the same structure just with fewer people involved. Arranged marriages viewed by people with American standards will probably feel like those involved in an arranged marriage are being forced into something they have no say in because their parents want to marry them off to some stranger and while that may be the case for some, not many involved feel that way. What many people do however is confuse forced marriages and arranged marriages as the same thing when that is not the case and those with negative feelings towards arranged marriages will always see those two types of marriage as the same thing. The price of one of these consoles, the Tascam Digital Portastudio 788, at Musiciansfriend.com, is $899.99 [1]. This console, although seemingly expensive, is much more cost effective than paying for an entire studio, and can achieve nearly the same results. The real benefit of a digital recording console, however, is the creative control it bestows upon musicians. Instead of having a producer who dictates how the recording should sound, the musician becomes the producer, giving him complete control over all aspects of the composition. Additionally, because of the cost of studio recording, a musician s time in the studio is usually limited. However, with a personal digital recording console, one can freely experiment with new ideas without time constraints. While this unmediated recording environment theoretically provides an artist with unlimited creative flexibility, it also allows for detrimental misuse in the form of non original composition, which can negate the creative possibilities of this new artistic process. The accessibility and simplicity of the unmediated digital recording process enable individuals, who otherwise would not be involved in music recording, damage the reputation ... Whether its religion, acceptance, laws, or social change, the views will evolve. Greece serves as an example of a country that was once accepting of homosexuality, but is slowly progressing to not be as accepting. In Ancient Greece, homosexual relationships occurred regularly between an older man, and a younger child. As stated on pbs.org, Traditionally these relationships involved an older man and a youth and lasted until the youth reached full adulthood. Thereafter this type of relationship was frowned upon because physical love was perceived as always involving one person in a position of submission, something that was unacceptable for a full Greek citizen. In Ancient Greece, homosexuality wasn t much of an issue because of gender, it was an issue based on age. The acceptance of homosexuality throughout Ancient Greece has made a sharp turn in modern day Greece. Although there are currently no laws against gay marriage, there are no laws that protect homosexuals. For example, households where the main head is a homosexual couple s do not have the same rights to protection as compared to couples that are heterosexual. Greece has experienced a turning point on their stance regarding homosexuality. A concept that was once highly accepted and viewed as common is now beginning to be looked down upon. One of these view points is existentialism, which states that where there is faith, not matter what in, a person has a right to make there own chooses. Many believe that this individual freedom then leads to risk in faith and often times doubt that cannot ever be separated from faith. It would be like having a huge tangled ball of two different colored string, However, you only want one of the colors, so you work relentlessly to untangle this massive ball. Yet when you have finally finished, you realized that there never were two different stings. There is only one string that is both colors. The case goes to the Supreme Court and they rule in favor of Dred Scott s master and the court says that not only is Dred Scott not free, but he cannot even bring a case to court. Many see this as the Federal Government backing the institution of slavery. The Dred Scott decision was a major win for the South and Pro slavery citizens. • 29. The Negative Aspects Of School Integration Throughout history school integration has been somewhat of a war, but why? Although school integration should be something that is praised because of what it has done for children in the past, many people and administrators do all in their power to prevent school integration. We claim as a society that all children should have the same opportunities, but in many cases that is not an option without school integration. In order to grow as a rising society, it is important for people to set aside what their negative beliefs about school integration are if it means a better future for children who otherwise would not have the chance to thrive as they should. B. The Problem We All Live With Part One: A Sociological Analysis: In part one of The Problem We All Live With, we are introduced to many incredible, unforgettable facts about the American school district, facts that are very often overlooked in today s society. Nikole Hannah Jones speaks out about her years reporting on the american education system and the different problems she encountered while doing so. Nikole states that administrators have tried to close the enormous achievement gap between 1971 and 1988 between primarily black and white students that was about forty points. Because most underachieving school districts were mostly black and latino, these problems were often dismissed. School districts were not doing much to help the fact that children in segregated schools, more often than not, had the least experienced teachers, which was a large part of the problem(Cole, 1978: 183). The Normandy school district in Missouri became unaccredited because of how poor the quality of the education was. Because Normandy became an unaccredited school, the transfer law came into effect. The transfer law is a law that gave students in unaccredited school districts the right to transfer to a nearby accredited schools for free (Stephanopoulos, 2016: 403). The transfer law gave students of Normandy the right to transfer to Francis Howell, an accredited school on the other other side of town. Some states have laws so strict that asking a nursing mother to stop, cover up, or move elsewhere is a violation of her civil rights and gives her grounds to sue for damages in a court of law . Babies who are not breastfed in places other than home will eventually become used to only being fed in one place. Therefore the nourishing mother will basically become house bound. It is important for women to get out of the house following birth, so they don t become depressed and feel cut off from the rest of the world. According to The American Academy of Pediatrics The AAP recommends that babies be exclusively breastfed for about the first 6 months of life. Babies should continue to breastfeed for a year and for as long as is mutually desired by the mother and baby . During these first 6 months the mother should be dedicated to supplying breast milk whenever and wherever she and her infant feel appropriate. Overall, each of the teachers is constantly trying to ensure completely understanding, changing the lesson to adapt the pace of what the students need to learn. When her students were not working through the lesson as quickly as she had expected, Ms. Kennedy removed a task of the lesson for her class to be able to finish what was necessary to the class. By being adaptable and prepared for the possibility of the lesson plans not working as successfully as planned allowed students the ability to be able to learn what is necessary in the lesson, even if that means cutting a task or two in the entire lesson scheme. To students who were misbehaving, they were corrected and redirected by their name, being told to return their focus back to their work. By redirecting the behavior back to working on their assignment put the emphasis on the importance of the learning in the classroom. For the students who needed more time and help, Mrs. Graham would quietly tell the students that they could keep working on the work and if time did not allow the students to continue working, they were told they needed to finish their work for homework. However, this casual clothing took different forms; from the woman in the casual dress to the outdoorsy looking man, there were many variations on casual wear. For example, there was one young woman in the line who was wearing the same shorts and a tee combination as many other patrons. Hanging off the back of her backpack were a pair of pink leather shoes, soft and supple, with worn pads on the bottom where the material was gathered in from the top. They were hooked onto her backpack with a carabiner through the criss crossed elastic bands which pulled the two sides of the shoe together. Through iconic reasoning, I recognized them as ballet slippers. This lead me to assume that this young woman was a dancer, coming from or going to class or rehearsal. This indexical assumption was based on my recognizing the ballet slippers and understanding what ballet slippers are generally used for, as well as knowing that rarely, if ever, someone would hang a pair of well used ballet slippers off of their backpack as a sort of fashion statement. After mentally cataloging the woman in the summer dress, the hiker, the fashionable young man, and now the ballerina based on clothes and accessories, I tried to find a sign that was not clothing. Howard exhibits off task and task avoidance behaviors when faced with a math assignment (2014). This paper will suggest steps to address and change these behaviors, possible motivational, instructional, and safety interventions that should be utilized to support Howard, and reinforcement techniques that will encourage and motivate positive behavior. Steps for Behavior Change The first step to making behavior changes is identifying the behavior and understanding possible reasons why the behavior is being produced (Wright, 2013). Recognizing that Howard exhibits the described undesirable behaviors during math, a class in which he is struggling to understand the material, is a huge red flag that may indicate that Howard is avoiding his assignments, because he does not understand how to do them. Also, it is important to realize that off task behavior and distraction are common symptom of ADHD (National Institute of Mental Health, n.d.). This leads to the following research question: How does the 1986 television series Journey to the West convey the novel s original Confucian message, and what does this suggest for its production purposes? I argue that authors and producers often attempt to impose their own set of cultural and political ideologies on its audience through a certain depiction of right and wrong.
