This document provides pictures of different locations within a house to be used for filming including the front of the house, hallway and stairwell, bathroom, and bedroom as they are easily accessible and spacious enough for the film's needs.
The document analyzes costume choices, props, lighting, sound, camera techniques, and editing used in a scene from the horror film Annabelle. It describes how the light blue nightgown and matching pajamas of the main characters symbolize their purity as Christians, while the white outfits of the murderers symbolize the opposite as they worship Satan. It also analyzes how props like the phone, doll, gun and knife are used iconographically, and how the dark lighting, diegetic sounds of wind and creaking floors, and non-diegetic music and screams are used to build tension. Camera techniques like close-ups, slow motion and whip pans, along with slow editing, are employed when violence occurs
This lighting plan document outlines lighting designs for downstairs, upstairs, and a bedroom. It lists areas like the downstairs floor plan, stairwell, and doors that will use LED lights, as well as the upstairs hallway, stairwell, and doors. A bedroom lighting plan is also included, listing furniture like a bed, desk, tv stand, and chair as well as a door.
This document discusses key concepts in manual camera operation including white balance, exposure, focus, shutter, framing and composition, and the 180-degree rule. White balance informs the camera of the primary light source. Exposure adjusts the amount of light entering the camera using f-stops. Focus is important to control the distance between the subject and background. The shutter speed controls how long the camera iris remains open, affecting motion blur. Framing and composition involve techniques like headroom, talk space, and the rule of thirds. The 180-degree rule concerns positioning the camera between two subjects to avoid making it seem like they have turned their backs.
A girl finds a doll on the street and brings it home, but the doll mysteriously moves to different locations in her apartment. Unbeknownst to her, the doll is working against her to demonstrate that she made a mistake. A man encounters a strange boy sitting in his living room who disappears and reappears holding a knife, stalking the man until killing him in his bedroom. A girl trapped in a room hallucinates that she butchered her own family, and realizes she is being punished by her only surviving brother. A socially isolated doctor decides to kill 100 people and take trophies from each to fill his "shelf of contentment" as he blames humanity for his lack of friends.
The document appears to be a production script detailing two scenes of a crime. Scene 1 describes a teenager entering his home in frustration and looking at his victim on his phone with heavy breathing. Scene 2 shows the teen entering a studio with the victim, putting on a mask and gloves, and proceeding to repeatedly slice the victim with a knife while the victim screams. Various shots are used including of the teen's eyes as he kills the victim and the knife clattering to the ground afterwards with blood dripping down the victim's neck.
This document contains a risk assessment form used by the BBC. It summarizes a proposed filming involving about 6 people filming a documentary. Locations involved include a studio and outdoor locations. Hazards identified include slipping/tripping hazards, manual handling, noise, and working at height. The assessor and authorized signatory are also provided. The form includes sections to list team members, hazards, likelihood and severity of harm, and the site/location details. It aims to outline any risks and ensure appropriate safety measures are planned.
This document contains a storyboard layout with multiple shots described in a table format. Each shot lists the shot type, description, music/audio effects, special effects, duration and transitions. The storyboard covers various scenes showing characters, locations, actions and includes notes on music, sounds effects and transitions between shots.
The Neon Demon follows Jesse, a 16-year-old model, as she enters the modeling world in Los Angeles. Initially, Jesse is complimented on her natural beauty. However, her good fortune causes disruption when she meets two established models, Ruby and Sarah, at a party. They judge and question Jesse, seeing her as a potential threat. Jesse later realizes how fascinated others are with her appearance, developing narcissism. This leads the jealous models to kill and eat Jesse. In an attempt to purge herself of Jesse's purity, one model kills herself, allowing the narrative to reach a new equilibrium.
The document analyzes the film techniques used in the short film "2AM: The Smiling Man" through a micro-analysis of its mise-en-scene, sound, cinematography, and editing. It discusses how the empty street setting at 2AM isolates the characters. The smiling man's unusual dancing and the tense music build an unsettling atmosphere. Camerawork creates a trapped feeling and emphasizes the main character's isolation. The pacing speeds up dramatically during the chase scene. Comparisons are made to the film "The Neon Demon" regarding location, lighting, character movements, costume, sounds, cinematography, and target audiences.
Danny wakes up his mother Wendy by repeating the word "redrum" and writing it on the door with lipstick. Wendy realizes it spells "murder" backwards in the mirror. Jack begins aggressively attacking the bathroom door with an axe where Wendy and Danny have fled. Wendy escapes out the window but is unable to get Danny to safety before Jack breaks through. Jack threatens Wendy through a hole in the door before she cuts his hand with a knife.
Jay is a normal teenage girl whose life is disrupted when she has sex with her boyfriend Hugh and learns she has been cursed. Anyone who has sex with her will pass the curse on, and the entity following her, referred to as "It", will kill her and move on to the next victim. Jay and her friends attempt to repair the situation by trying to find and kill It, believing they succeed when It appears to die in an electrocution. However, the film ends on a cliffhanger as Jay and her friend Paul see someone following them down a path, leaving the audience unsure if It has truly been killed or if the curse continues.
The document analyzes the mise-en-scene, sound, camera work, and editing techniques used in a scene from the film "It Follows". The abandoned swimming pool setting traps the characters and isolates them with no escape. Dark blue lighting and the character's costumes establish a sense of danger and vulnerability. Tense non-diegetic sounds build anxiety as the scene progresses. Shots from the creature's perspective and disorienting camera angles make the audience feel helpless. The scene cuts together to increase pace and suspense, leaving viewers unsure if the creature has been defeated.
This lighting plan diagram shows the layout of a living room and performing studio with furniture including sofas, dining table, chairs, and a television. The living room contains sofas arranged around a dining table and chairs, while the performing studio contains a chair layout. Both rooms are separated by a door and have a window in the living room.
This document contains a storyboard for a movie or video project. It lists multiple shots in sequence, each with a description, suggested music or audio effects, any special effects, shot type, and duration. The storyboard outlines the visuals, audio, and flow of scenes over time to help plan and coordinate the project.
In the iconic scene from The Shining where Jack Nicholson says "Here's Johnny!", the costumes, lighting, sound, cinematography, and editing are used to convey danger and increase tension. Jack's dark costume indicates his impurity and threat to Wendy and Danny, dressed in lighter colors. As Jack chops down the bathroom door, the lighting gets darker and the soundtrack increases in volume to reflect the characters' growing panic. A long shot of Danny escaping out the window separates him from his helpless mother. The agonizingly long shot of Wendy trapped behind the door builds tension over whether she will escape Jack's terror.
