Este documento presenta la metodología utilizada en el estudio de placas metálicas del noroeste argentino realizado por Alberto Rex González. El método incluye la recolección y descripción de las placas, su clasificación tipológica, un estudio iconográfico y el establecimiento de su contexto arqueológico y cultural. El objetivo es comprender el uso y significado ritual de las placas para aprender sobre los aspectos simbólico-religiosos de las culturas andinas entre los años 600 a.C. y 1660
