westside of Manhattan, where the movie Gnomeo and Juliet takes place in the backyard of two
neighbors. These settings differ so much in order for the targeted audiences to relate to the storys.
Since the West Side story is meant for a more mature audience, Laurents sets his novel in
manhattan, making the story as life like as possible. The backyard setting of Gnomeo and Juliet
