Microorganism need to live in ideal conditions so they can grow. This experiment
was performed to determine if there was a greater number of microorganisms in
Winthrop lake than Winthrop wetlands. We determined this hypothesis because the
lake was bigger. We also made the hypothesis that the pH level of the lake was
going to be higher than the wetlands. We tested out the hypothesis by going out to

My Identity As An Individual
Identities are largely derived from the roles individuals play within society. When I
think about my identity as an individual I predominantly think about external factors
such as my gender or skin colour. For me, being largely a part of the dominant
culture within Australia, I found it increasingly difficult to reflect on what has made
me the person I am today.
One of the most influential factors on my identity formation would have to be my
gender. Being a female in the 21st century can be extremely challenging, bring
about tremendous pressure. On one hand, you have the expectations placed on
you by your family to find the perfect man and have lots of young children.
